The Truth [1]

I laid on my bed then heard my phone ringing. I picked up my phone then looked to see who was calling me. It was Loni. I sighed then answered it. "Hello..?"

"Hey there, Shin! I was wondering if you wanted to come out with me to the mall today." Loni asked.

"I'd rather not especially now that the world knows if my existence now. I would rather stay indoors until this tournament news blows over.." I answered.

"Come on! I'm already at your door!" Loni said as she knocked on my front door.

I grumbled and sat up on my bed. I got out of bed then hung up then freshed up then went to the front door. I opened the door then looked at Loni. She had on a white t-shirt and a black skirt. She wore stockings and brown boots.

She placed a hand on her hip and smiled at me. "Lose the mask, superhero."

"I'd rather keep it on." I sighed then Loni took the mask from my face.

She smiled and looked at my face. "You're cuter without the mask. Now come on, let's go have some fun."

I looked at her then snatched my mask from her hands. She giggled and walked down the stairs on my porch.

We got on the train to go into the city. I looked out the window and she poked my cheek. I looked at her then she ran her claw down my cheek.

"Chin up. It isn't all that bad. You got a good fight out of it and our respect!" Loni smiled.

I gently pushed her hand away then blushed. "It's more than that...It's just that...I don't want other schools to know about me going to Trinity."

"Yeah that does kinda pose an issue. You are the only boy in Trinity Academy. Well maybe they will just take it as you were in a School Battle against us. There are a lot of schools who want to take us on. Like Esula High and Yuzuha University. Those two schools are like the strongest schools in the entire district. Well, Yuzuha is the strongest school. They are number one on the board." Loni said then smacked her fist against the palm of her hand. "I've always had my sights on a particular Tiger girl! I'll stop at nothing to take her on in a fight."

A person listened in the seat behind Loni. They smirked and began to type on their phone.

The train stopped at the station and all of the passengers, including Loni and I, got off the train. We were in the city and headed straight to the mall. Loni wrapped her pinky around mine then I subconsciously held her hand.

"You don't mind spending any money on me right?" Loni smiled.

I shrugged and placed my free hand in my pocket. "I guess not. Depends if you plan on making me go bankrupt or not."

Loni laughed a bit then looked at me. "I'm not THAT bad. I'm not like Miriam who is a Princess or Komine who likes to spend loads of money. When I see something I want, I get it cheap or not. Come on I promise to be a good girl if you do~"

I looked at Loni and rose an eyebrow. I gave her a little smile then shook my head. "Alright alright, I'll spend some money on you."

Loni giggled and nodded then held my arm. "Thank you, Shin~"

"Whatever." I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

We walked inside the mall and walked around together. We went into a clothing store. Loni let go of my arm and went to look around. I did the same. I found a shirt with the words "Poor" on it.

I went to Loni and smiled at her. "Look at this shirt, this must mean something in French. Po òr."

Loni looked at me then the shirt and covered her mouth to stop herself from laughing. "That says Poor."

"Eh?" I looked at the shirt then noticed how the letters were placed. The P and O were on the top and the other O and R were on the bottom. "Oh.."

I placed the shirt back on the rack then walked with Loni as she picked out some clothes she wanted. After she tried them on, she decided to get them and we walked to the cashier and she placed the clothes on the desk. The cashier bagged her clothes then I paid for them.

I took the bag from her hand then we left the clothing store. "That was faster than I expected...Usually my younger sister takes forever to choose."

"I know what I want when I want it so decision making is pretty easy for me." Loni smiled and held my hand. Her stomach growled and she blushed then held her stomach with her free hand.

I chuckled and decided to take her to the food court in the mall. We stopped by a burger place then she ordered 3 double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a large lemonade. I paid for her food and we sat down so she could eat.

"I don't know why but...I really love a woman who can eat and who's not afraid to stuff their faces with food." I smiled and sat back, looking at her.

She blushed as she chewed on the food that was in her mouth. She used a napkin to wipe her mouth then looked at me. "Are you teasing or being for real?"

"I'm being for real. I really find women like you very attractive." I smiled.

"What do you like about me then?" She rose an eyebrow and leaned forward.

"Hmm..well I really like your eyes a lot. I noticed when the sun hits then they turn into many colors like lime green and yellow. Also, your fiery personality when it comes down to talking about the other Trinity girls and fighting." I started.

"You don't have to beat around the bush, Shin. I know you like my assets as well. Don't tell the other girls, but I really like you too." She smiled.

"Oh really, did you like me before or after I kicked your ass?" I teased.

She blushed even more then bared her teeth a little. "Hmph! Don't get so cocky because you beat me once! Next time it won't be so easy!"

"Right right, we will just have to wait and see." I chuckled and crossed my arms.

She scoffed and rolled her eyes, continuing to eat.

We ended up leaving the mall after a while of walking around. Loni held my arm and wanted to take the more scenic route back to the station. We walked down the park then hit an invisible wall. I grunted then touched the wall made from magic energy. I looked back then noticed a person standing behind us at a distance. Loni let go of my arm to look at the person.

"Shin Pi of the Grand Saikari Academy! You left our school to join an Academy full of stuck up bitches? You've fallen and it shows." The person said.

"What..? Grand Saikari Academy? Shin what are they talking about?" Loni looked at me.

I let out a sigh then rubbed the back of my head. "It was gonna come up one way or another, but I am originally from Grand Saikari Academy. I transferred to Trinity Academy thinking it was a normal academy. I honestly at first didn't think it was an all girl academy until the orientation."

"You lied to us?" Loni asked.

"As if I would ever tell anyone what academy I came from...Grand Saikari Academy isn't really known for good things..." I sighed.

Loni looked at me confused then at the person in front of us. "What do you mean..? Mmm...you can explain it later. For now we gotta deal with this fucker."

I nodded then noticed the person dashing to us. I copied Loni's ability then my nails turned into claws and my pupils became vertical. Loni transformed into her Feline Mode. I dodged the person's attack then grabbed their arm and punched their stomach. They groaned and their mask fell.

I read the label of the mask then my eyes widened. "Nexus..?"

My heart thumped and flashbacks of me being their lab came back to me. I grunted and held my head. I let go of the person and stepped backwards.

"Shin! Look out!" Loni took a knife in her arm for me and hissed.

I looked up then my eyes shined gold then back to gray. Dark aura spiralled around my arm then I grunted and balled my fist and the dark aura vanished. "Get away from us you bastard!" I yelled and blasted the person away with an aura blast.

They groaned and rolled on their side and coughed a bit. They threw down a smoke bomb then vanished in the smoke.

"Shin! Are you okay? What the hell was that earlier?" Loni asked as she held my shoulders.

My hair covered my eyes and I didn't answer her. I stared at the mask on the ground then Loni shook my body. I looked up at her quickly. "I have to tell you and the others my full backstory.."
