POV Asael
The engine still roars in my ears as I lean back against the seat of my car.
The day had been an explosion of sensations, the roar of the engines, the smell of dust kicked up by the cars, the excitement palpable in the air. And at the center of it all, a figure who had captivated my attention since the first turn: Daisy.
She had driven with impressive mastery, handling her car through the twisting turns with almost supernatural ease. I still remember the moment she crossed the finish line, a cascade of black hair flying behind her helmet, a triumphant smile lighting up her face. It was a deserved victory, a demonstration of talent and determination.
As I prepare to doze off for a while, the sound of a door opening brings me back to reality. I hear footsteps approaching, then the familiar click of a seat belt coming undone. Instinctively, I turn my head to see who is entering the car.
And there, in the dim glow of the interior of my car, I see her. Daisy. His face is lit by a mischievous smile, his eyes sparkling with energy and life. She closes the door with a soft slam before turning to face me.
I remain frozen, caught off guard by his unexpected presence. She seems as surprised as I am, but instead of apologizing or apologizing for her intrusion, she bursts out laughing, a crisp sound that echoes through the cabin of the car.
-Sorry, I'm borrowing the car for a few moments, she said between two laughs, her voice slightly full of warmth.
I remain silent for a moment, unable to find the words to respond. It was the first time I saw someone so natural with strangers.
-No worries, I said finally, surprising myself with my own audacity.
Daisy seems surprised by my answer, but her smile widens even more, lighting up her face.
-Really?, she asks, her eyes shining with a teasing glint. "Well, in that case, I guess I'm stuck with you for a while.
She sits comfortably in the passenger seat, crossing her legs casually. I can't help but notice how she exudes an aura of confidence and self-assurance.
"So, what's your name?" she asks, tilting her head to the side curiously.
"Asael," I replied, trying to stay calm despite the fact that my heart was racing. "And you, I suppose, are Daisy, the champion of the day."
She nods with a small laugh.
-It's me. Nice to meet you Asael, she said to me
The conversation then begins naturally between us, as if we have known each other for years.
-I suppose you only came here to watch the car race?, I asked him
-Yeah, an acquaintance invited me, he explains to me
-I hope it's not Caesar, I said to him, smiling crookedly.
-If it's him, he said to me in surprise, do you know him?
-Not really, I replied, he's just the cousin of one of my friends
-Don't hang out with him, he advised me, he's not a good guy
-And you are a good guy?, she asked him amusedly
-It's up to you, I replied with a smirk on my lips.
-I think you're a good person, she said to me in a thoughtful tone, after all you let a stranger into your car
-I totally agree with you, I replied, nodding, but I am waiting for my reward for having helped you
-A reward?, I thought amusedly
-Yeah, I answered him
-Do you want to go have a drink?, she suggested.
-With pleasure, I smiled at him with a glint of mischief in my eyes
Suddenly, a door noise is heard and a silhouette appears.
-Sir, said the man with an imposing build, Caesar is looking for you
He shifted slightly to reveal Caesar.
-It's not Caesar, he replied, it's Mr. Caesar
-What do you want?, I asked him
-Recover Daisy, Caesar replied to me
-No need, she replied, I will go home with Asael
-Do you want to go home with a stranger? Caesar asked him with frowning eyebrows.
I know it's her and no one else.
