Crush

"Sabrina!" I shouted as soon as I saw her coming towards me.

"Why?!" She frowned.

"I have good news!" I said excitedly.

"Really? What is that?"

"Look at that guy!" I pointed my finger at the guy I was talking about.

She looked confused. "What about him?"

"He's so handsome! He's my crush. I'm gonna make him mine." I said to her, smirking.

"Briana, it's our first day of classes, we're still in our 8th grade. You shouldn't have a boyfriend. My mom said, guys just gonna break our hearts." Sabrina told me, I pouted.

"You're so serious, it's just a crush!" I playfully rolled my eyes. I saw our teacher entered our room so I immediately sat beside Sabrina.

I saw the handsome boy entering our classroom, he was looking for a vacant seat. He looked around but I guess he didn't found a vacant seat until his eyes darted behind me.

My eyes stayed on his face for a while, my eyes went on his thick and long lashes that attract me.

He looked at me with his calm face, but it just stayed for a second.

I'm now more conscious because he is sitting on a vacant seat behind me.

This is our first day so I already expected that we're just going to introduce ourselves.

My classmates introduced themselves until it's my turn.

"My name is Briana Vanedestine," I smiled after saying my name.

"Miss Vanedestine, could you tell us what your hobbies are?" The Teacher asked.

"Singing and writing, I guess," I said with a bit smile on my lips.

"Oh, you're writing stories? were your stories happy ending or not?" A girl with short hair asked me. She smiled sweetly, I smiled back.

"There were some happy endings but most of them were tragic." Her eyes earlier were full of hope but now she's already pouting.

"I hate tragic endings," She said while pouting her lips.

I hated tragic endings back then, but I realized it was reality. Here, in reality, some of them have a happy ending but most of us don't have.

"You hate reality, then."

I looked at my crush and I saw him nodded, looked like he agreed to what I said.

"Yeah, that's kinda sad. Happy ending mostly happens in a book, not in reality." The girl with short hair said.

Very well said.

I looked at him again, he nodded again but this time he looked at me straight into the eyes. I smiled at him but he just looked at me, nothing changed in his expression.

I felt embarrassed but it's okay, though.

But in the back of my mind, I'm asking who is he to ignore me.

"Continue writing, Miss Vanedestine. You'll gonna make it in the end." The Teacher said, I smiled. Her words are so motivating.

I smiled sweetly before going back to my seat.

He stood up and went in front, fixing his blouse before introducing himself.

"I am Travis Donovan Zalvatore,"

My waiting is over, I finally know his name.

"Hobbies?" Mrs. Vilanco asked him.

"I just play video games and basketball sometimes." He answered. I looked at him from head to toe, he's clean, tall. He's not that skinny, he has not so broad shoulders maybe because he is still a teenager. My gazes darted on his face, he has a soft look but when he's serious he is more attractive. His eyes were a bit dark.

"Alright, Mr. Zalvatore. You can sit now." He smiled and nodded before walking towards behind me.

"Nice name," I said when he passed by.

"You too."He said, smirking.

My eyes widened a bit when he said that, I wasn't expecting him to notice me.

In just a simple compliment my heart can't stop throbbing so fast.

"This is all for today's class, maybe tomorrow we will start to discuss our topic so prepare yourselves, you can advance read so you have knowledge about our topic for tomorrow." Mrs. Vilanco announced before leaving the room.

"Thank you!" We said before Mrs. Vilanco finally left the room.

The second subject Teacher already came, this time our subject is Science. Since it's our first day, we just introduced ourselves, again. And that is how our morning classes ended.

I and Sabrina went to the cafeteria to eat our lunch. "My gosh, Sab! I didn't expect he would notice me!" I was really happy to the point I'm already beating her shoulder.

"Really?! What did he say?" Woah, she is serious earlier but now she is excited, I know her when she's not in a bad mood. She has a new crush!

"Hey! I know you when you are like this-," She immediately cut me off, I raised an eyebrow.

"Like what?!" She asked like she didn't know what I am talking about.

"You have a new crush, don't you?" I raised my brows and pursed my lips.

She sighed and pursed her lips, slightly nodded.

"Ah, you said earlier your mom said that guys will only hurt us, now you have a crush." I mocked her before l laughed.

"Let's just ignore mom," She told me, we both laugh.

"By the way, who's that guy?" I asked.

"I still don't know, we'll find out soon." She smirked.

"That's my girl." I playfully said to her then she winked.

I saw my crush with a guy, they are like having a serious talk.

"Sab," I called her.

"Look at them, he's so handsome!" The way he moved, the way he talks, it's just like... he's perfect, for me.

"He looked matured but he also looked like a playboy," She commented. I agree with her but I think he's not, I hope so.

He looked around like he is finding someone and then his eyes went on where we are, he just looked at me seriously and I started to feel awkward so I looked away.

He said something to a guy and the guy went his eyes on me, then they smile at each other. Travis shook his head before they started to walk towards us.

When they walked by, I looked at him again.

"Hi," He winked at me, smirking.
