Welcome 2 Silver

A/N: Haha...Welcome 2 Silver. See what I did there? ;)

*Somewhere in the Spirit Realm, a month ago*

"Well, that's what they found out, Magnus," Kamui told to his friend. They were in Magnus's battle room, discussing a certain topic.

"Hmm, well that realm is beautiful from what I heard, although it seems a bit odd," Magnus made a confused look. "Why would they want to take over that realm? That realm is considered one of the weakest ones. If scorch wants to be more powerful, they have to take over a realm with power and magic. Are you sure your spies found out that could be his plan?" He asked Kamui for confirmation.

"You're doubting my spies...one of the greatest ones in the realm?" Kamui asked back with a raised eyebrow.

Magnus tried to answer back but failed. "No, of course not," He replied. "But it just seems odd, you know?" He said with confusion.

"Well, odd or not, we have to protect that realm from scorch. They might know something we don't. I suggest we should send some warriors to that realm. They'll have to guard it and protect it, full time I suppose," Kamui suggested. Magnus immediately made a "Really?" look, with a raised eyebrow. Kamui noticed this. "What?"

"I assume you've never been to the Terra Realm, have you?" Magnus stated.

Kamui was confused after hearing that. "What makes you say that?"

Magnus stood up and started walking away from his desk. "Here's the problem, Kamui. We're spirits. We can't stay in the Terra realm for more than 30 minutes. We can die there if we stay too long," He explained while looking at his empire. "

"Right, we can't, while the Shadows can. Great!" Kamui said sarcastically. He crossed his arms and started to think of a plan. "Well, then how can we protect the realm if we can't stay too long there?" He asked Magnus who was still looking at his empire from his window. After a while, he answered.

"We don't," He answered

Kamui was confused. "Excuse me?"

"We don't, Kamui," Magnus turned to face his friend. "They will,"

*Mark's P.O.V*

I was at the minimarket getting a drink with Nathan, you know the boy I met in the alleyway, he was protecting a kid around 10 years old from a bunch of jocks. That Nathan. Anyway, we were at the refreshment fridge, picking a drink, 'cause man...I'm thirsty. I took a sarsaparilla soda while Nathan took a blueberry soda.

"Huh....a blueberry soda. That's new," I said. There weren't any blueberry sodas back home so I'm assuming it's a new flavor.

"Yeah, I'm glad they made this. I've always loved blueberries besides the other berries," He told me as we went to the counter and paid for our drinks. He immediately opened his soda and took a sip. "Say...when we were at the alleyway, you said to those jocks 'face the power of a new fresh kid in town' if I'm right," He said to me.

I tried to remember what I said to those jocks. Turns out I did. I nodded in response as I took a sip from my soda.

"Soo...what? You're new here?" He took a sip again as he asked that.

"Actually, yes. I just moved here with my uncle this morning. Not much was to unpacked, so we finished around 11, even though I still have a few boxes to unpack," I turned to him. "He's at work now so I decided to do a bit of exploring for the afternoon." I saw his eyes were widened.

"Oh, you're new here, eyy?!" he exclaimed. "Well then, Welcome to Silver City! You're going to love it here. Trust me," He grinned and gave me a wink. I smiled at his behavior. "You know, why don't I just give you a tour of the city?" He offered.

My eyes slightly widened. "Really? You'd do that?" He nodded. "I don't know, Nathan. That sounds nice, but I just don't want to bother yo--" He suddenly put his finger on my mouth while shushing me.

"Relax, Mark. It's my pleasure to show you around. Also, I'm pretty much free until 2 so don't worry," He said to me. "Besides, you look like a cool dude,"

I smiled at his compliment. "Thanks," He smiled back. "Come on! I'll show you around," he exclaimed and we left with me following him.

He took me to famous parts of the city, such as the residential area, downtown, foodie areas, and other places. Right now, we're in this area called Tuner Street. I wonder why it's called that. There were a lot of cars passing by and parked at the side of the road. What surprised me was most of them were sports cars, modified cars, classic cars, everything.

"Woah!" I exclaimed.

"Pretty cool, huh?" Nathan turned his head to me, with his body still facing forward. "This street is pretty much the city's icon, a must -to go place for visitors and newcomers like you," He pointed at me, still facing forwards. "This place is like its core, its soul, the center of everything. Here you can see lots of exotic cars around. If you got a broken car or an ugly stock, this is where you're going to take it," I nodded to his explanation.

We decided to stop at a Taiwanese chicken shop and bought 2 of them. I ordered a normal seasoned one while Nathan ordered a barbecue one. Looking at it made me realized I haven't had lunch yet. So I immediately took one with the small bamboo stick and ate it. It's actually pretty good

"Mmmmm....these are good!" I said while chewing my chicken.

"Heh... I knew you'd like it," Nathan said before he took a bite out of his. We sat at a table and enjoyed our mini lunch, I suppose while talking. "So, where are you from?" He asked as he took a bite.

"Greenlight County," I answered. He nodded in response.

"So you moved here with your uncle?" He asked again. I nodded in response. "Why?"

I was confused for a second. "Me moving with my uncle or me moving here?" I asked to reassure.

"Both?" He shrugged. Should I tell him? I mean, we just met. I don't even know I can trust this guy.

"Umm...I'm sorry, It's a bit... personal," I told him.

He nodded in response and gave me a warm smile. "Don't worry, I understand. We just met," He replied. "Which is exactly why we should get to know each other. Come on, tell me more about you so that I can know why you moved here...."

I smirked and shook my head while giving him a 'Dude, really?' look. He chuckled. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding," He said. "But I'm serious about the knowing each other part though,"

"Yeah, we should," I replied. I glanced to a digital clock nearby, showing 13:56. "Say, didn't you say you have something at 2 o'clock?"

"Yeah, why do you ask?" I pointed to the clock nearby with my thumb. He turned to look at it and his eyes were widened immediately.

"HOLY SHOOT!! I'M GONNA BE FREAKIN' LATE!!" I was going to ask him what was it but he immediately cut me off. "I gotta go! See ya', Mark. It was nice meeting you," He ran towards the door with his snack in his hand.

"Hope we can see--" And with that, he left the place. "Again...." I smiled and thought, 'YES! Great first impression, Me!'. I glanced at the clock again and my food. 'I think I had enough exploring for one day.' I thought. I immediately went home and searched the address on my phone. Good thing I asked uncle Tyler the address while we were unpacking.

~Time Skip Tomorrow Morning~

'BEEP! BEEP!' I heard and groaned to an annoying beeping sound close to me. I reached the thing that's making it and try to turn the thing off. After a few attempts, it finally stopped.

I woke up and sit on my bed, pretty much half-awake, but I noticed I wasn't in my bedroom. I was in a completely different room. It had dark blue and white stripes on the wall.

I was confused and scared at the same time. I looked around and noticed some boxes close to a wardrobe, and it has my name on them. I immediately realized why and I sighed in relief.

"Oh, right..." I chuckled and facepalmed myself. "I moved here with my uncle..." I mumbled. I looked at the clock and it says 6:30.

"Huh...I woke too early," I know I can just go back to sleep, but the thing is sometimes that if I wake up, I can't sleep again. I don't know why. I groaned and decided to go out of my room and make toast.

I went to the kitchen and saw my uncle sitting on the island while reading a newspaper. 'Who still reads newspapers these days?' I thought. He noticed me.

"Hey, Mark," He greeted and smiled.

"Hey, uncle Tyler," I replied. I immediately went to make toast. Peanut butter.

"So, how was yesterday?" He started.

I shrugged. "Yea, not much, really. I went for a walk yesterday while doing a bit of sightseeing and went home at 3," I said. "By the way, why are you awake this early? I thought you had a night shift last night," My uncle texted me that he had a night shift last night, so I was pretty much home alone yesterday.

"I just got home..." He took a sip of his coffee and continued. "Why are you awake this early?"

"Alarm clock, and you know me, can't sleep if I'm awake already," I stated. Then, I immediately realized something. "By the way, since I moved here, where will I study?"

"Oh, don't worry, I signed you up in a public school here in the city. The second semester starts tomorrow, so I was thinking we should get some supplies today," He told me. I'm actually in my second year in high school, so like my uncle said, it's the second semester of my second year in high school. I nodded.

"Don't you have work today?" I asked.

"I did a night shift, remember?" He smirked and raised an eyebrow.

"Oh. Right," I said.

"We'll go around 2 in the afternoon. In the meantime, I'm going to sleep for a while. I'm beat," He said as he stood up and rubbed my hair. "See you in the afternoon, Mark," He said and went to his room.

I smiled and continued making breakfast. As I finished making it, I went to the living room and watched some cartoons. I don't care if I'm too old, at least I enjoyed watching them.

'I wonder what the school looks like...'

'I hope I can be better...'
