~KATHERINE P.O.V~
How long has it been since I've last seen Mrs. Jones? Around two months ago or less but either way I'm glad to be meeting up with her again. It also has been a while since I've stepped foot in town.
The day Vincent brought me here to get back my memories I never considered going to town because of how busy I am not to mention my killer who is planning his sweet revenge.
"Are you ok with going into town, the day is a bit sunny?" I asked Jas just as he was about to drive out the driveway. "Once I have this necklace with me at all times I'm fine plus I can last around four hours in the heat without it," He pointed at the blood red necklace then shifted his gaze back on the road. It amazes me that he can last four hours in the heat. I smile looking out the window at the sensory we were passing.
"Are you happy?" He asked.
"Yep, once I have you by my side I'm always happy," I told him truthfully. I don't often depend on him but I don't know if I would be able to move forward if he isn't by my side through thick and thin, even the hot and cold times.
"I'm glad mother would be glad also," I glanced at his side profile seeing that he was smiling. It's rare seeing him smile like this when the only thing people would see is his cold stare and cold attitude but this is something I'll cherish in my mind but instead let me take a photo.
I look at the photo on my phone grinning to myself thinking of saving it as my wallpaper. If handsome was a person Jas would be it, his jawline was well defined and his--stop Kath you're a good queen.
I gasped a little when I felt his hands on my thigh. "What were you thinking about? Your face is all red". He glanced at me for a moment with a devious smirk, before I knew it he pulled over on the road bringing the car to a stop then began to kiss me on the lips. Of course I gave in to his sweet lips.
"I would gladly make love to you right here right now but we have business to attend to," He says in between the kiss. He moved away leaving me stunned and flustered.

"So glad you both made it here safely," Mrs. Jones greeted us warmly with her usual bear hugs. She seemed fine now and looked healthy. The place we decided to meet was at a fancy restaurant called SPICY.
If I'm right this place is run by a childhood friend of mine, she always said that she would call her restaurant 'spicy' and run it in a fancy manner to attract the rich.
"Same to Mrs. Jones," Vincent replied respectfully.
"No, please call me Glory," She smiled.
"Abbey has been filling me in on what's happening for some time now and honestly I'm not surprised Russel is dead. I dreamt of him dying so many times for what he has done to me in the past and he deserved it," She said with disgust lace in her voice.
Russel according to what Abbey told me always abused her mom when she was a kid. Her mom would always jump in to take the beating when her dad wants to beat her.
Yes he's mentally unstable but he has his moment when he is fully aware of the damage he's causing to his wife and kid.
"Katherine, that time when I told you vampires were the reason his family was dead is because they were vampire hunters," She told us while sipping a cup of tea she ordered. I looked at Vincent who wasn't fazed by this but was listening attentively until he decided to pitch in.
"Indeed those hunters were around for many generations just like us vampires. When I was a kid, my mother would tell us stories of hunters trying to kill our kind and destroy our peace. It was around that time when Vance was born the hunters entered into our home and killed 20 percent of our people". He stops trying to calm his nerves then continues.
"Still if it wasn't for Vincenzo, me and Vance would have been killed considering we were young and inexperienced at the time. Vincenzo, my elder brother, was the one who personally selected and trained skillful vamps to wipe out the hunters. I think it was faith that led the last hunter at my doorstep for me to feed on." He coldly chuckled.
We talked for a while until Glory handed over a black box with the words 'secrets' written in red. She told us that when she was cleaning out the house she came across it hidden and when she took a look she called Abbey right away. Inside was information on how to hunt a vampire, how to set traps, and how to lure them out.
I looked at Vin with widened eyes knowing this would come in extremely handy when the war is upon us. Before leaving we thank her for everything and that we are grateful for what she has done.
She told us she's going to meet up with Abbey and Kaz before leaving for the airport.
"So that's mainly the reason he has been overprotective of you? He nearly lost his kid brothers" I held Vincent hand walking back to the car feeling sad how Vincenzo had that in his memories.
"Yeah I know that's why I wish things would go back to the time he wasn't like that, just a brother we can look up to you know. Of course I will never tell him this because of my stubbornness." He squeezed my hand.
"Hey before we head back let's go to the beach--no one would be there around this time," He looked at me confused on why all of a sudden we should go to the beach but he didn't say anything and agreed.

The day was perfect for a walk on the seashore. The breeze was blowing, the sun shining brightly, the birds flying and Vincent complaining about the weird feeling of wet sand between his toes.
We walked hand in hand admiring the sensory in front of us. "Let's take a picture."
"I hate taking pictures," He pouted. I laughed at this side he was showing, it's cute. We walked along the sand creating memories we didn't want to regret with a grumpy mate of mine.
"Why do you hate it so much?" I wonder.
"I'm a Vampire, love." He told me with his soothing voice as he looked down on me. I nod my head, sometimes I forget about vampires and pictures because they don't show up in them. "Well we can always paint our memories," I told him.
