Soren who had grown to love his new home was literally very thankful of the privileges that came with becoming the future Queen.
Soren's tours became very numerous as the duties of Conelm increased and became very burdening.
He travelled to lands beyond and it was another one month that flew by that Soren had to settle down.
Following the numerous times, Soren had the visit of the Priests and the sorcerers of the Sacred Liege, these settled with him in the union of blood pact with his husband.
They had to wait for a while to gain the acceptance of the gods.
Soren was asleep in his suite in the company of his husband one fateful sunny morning in February.
He then felt his stomach rumble and in an instant he awakened his still asleep husband.
They were not late for anything and Conelm always kept his presence near his beloved wife everytime.
The royal couple which had grown very popular amongst the masses was the centre of attraction wherever they went and lurked.
It was not only because of the expensive and magnificent carriages that they rode but rather even the splendour that followed everything they wore.
It was a very short time and about half the year Soren had spent in Scoln, his beauty and charm perhaps one him the hearts of many he had seen in simply a bit.
As the rumbles became loud, Soren's stomach began to ache.
"Conelm." Soren said in very mild sobs as he stood up and shook his husband.
"What is the matter?" Conelm asked as he sat up beside him.
"I am not feeling well, my stomach it hurts." Soren said before he tightly gripped his stomach and then he felt his head spin.
"Soren." Was the last word that he had before everything he was seeing suddenly went black.
Conelm held Soren together before he would fall back down into the sheets.
"Ren, please, Ren?" Conelm asked only to be replied by silence that he was thrown into a panic and nearly started to shed tears.
"Somebody help, someone call the doctor." Conelm screamed.
The doors of the bedroom were flung open and Gerald walked in holding a pile of laundry supposedly that Soren had to wear at that very moment.
Shocked at the sight of his master turning pale and unconscious, Gerald dropped the clothes.
"What are you standing there for, go and call the doctor now." Conelm raised his tone commandingly.
In an instant, Gerald dashed outside the bedroom swift like a hurricane as he made his way down a set of hallways.
He had grown fond of the palace given the six months that he had lived in it since Soren arrived in the country and he knew best where the quarters of the Royal doctor were.
Gerald burst into the doors of a fairly big sized bedroom and then someone spinned around from his chair which was stationed behind a wooden table.
He was a fairly old man who looked to be in his mid fifties, he had a very long beared and his hair much as it was starting to develop stripes of grey was well combed to his shoulders.
He had the look of shock and surprise and his grey eyes and facial features clearly showed that he was charming at some point in his life.
He was not expecting to see someone there at the moment and immediately he made out the person breathing heavily and sweating, he knew that something serious must have happened.
"What is wrong?" The man asked.
"Doctor, you are needed in the Crown Prince's suite right now." Gerald said as he tried to calm down his own rapid breathing.
The old man immediately grabbed a fairly large box that was stationed on his table and stood up putting on a set of spectacles over his eyes.
"Let us go." The old man said and Gerald led the way as they dashed through the corridors with the old man's cloak simply hunging and dancing about.
Bursting through the bedroom doors again, the majority there had already gathered at that very moment.
Conelm's entire family his parents, two sisters and three brothers to begin with, Helren who also looked so shaken and confused was there, a set of other male servants and guards as well were present.
Soren lay in bed pale but breathing slowly as his chest kept rising and falling following an ordinary rythm.
The doctor walked by and sat beside Soren's right as Conelm watched in his night robe.
The doctor placed his right hand on Soren's head and then moved it lower to his heart beat.
"His temperature is normal and his heart beat is well also." The doctor said.
"Then what could be the problem with him?" Conelm asked.
"What were his complications if there were any before he passed out?" The doctor asked Conelm.
"He complained that he was not feeling well, that his stomach was hurting so much." Conelm replied.
The doctor moved his right hand to the stomach of the young Soren and then lower to its lower part.
The doctor whose facial expression changed in an instant forced him to open his box and pull out what was a stethoscope.
The doctor put the stethoscope on the stomach of Soren and there he felt it.
A strong sound, a very mild but strong centre of pulse surging through Soren's system.
"Alchemy be praised and all honor return to the gods, this is a marvellous gift of acceptance and support they have given you two." The doctor said.
"What is wrong with him doctor?" Conelm asked as he wondered " is he perfectly fine?" He added.
"No need to worry, his health is fine and the good news is that, he is expecting a child." The doctor replied.
"So the gods granted our prayer long at last, they remembered us and have granted us the joy we asked." Conelm said.
"In a hundred years, another extra ordinary royal birth, I guess the bloodpact was a success in their eyes and flawless in deed.
Shortly after a while, a seed was formed and conceived in a temporary womb.
The extra ordinary conception as a success and a blessing from the gods has come to pass and you should know soon as their witnesses that all that is left is the hour of birth." The Doctor replied.
"This is really good news." Conelm said after a smile made its way onto his face.
"At long last, I am going to become a grand father." King Valga said as a smile overwhelmed his face.
"But how long until Soren can regain his consciousness?" Conelm asked.
"Well I cannot estimate that but only a couple of hours, from now on, he must receive an extra ordinary care at the moment.
His diet should be adjusted and his schedule should not be so busy and should grant him adequate rest as well." The doctor said.
"Very well doctor, I shall make sure of that." Conelm replied.
"Then I guess I can now take your leave Your Royal Highnesses and Your Majesties." The doctor said as he stood up and held his box of instruments.
The doctor then made an exit of the room and after a while he was followed by all the other royals and guards outside.
Gerald sat at the feet of Soren and gazed at Conelm smiling as he looked at the pale, unconscious but charming frame that peacefully slumbered on the bed.
With his right hand, Conelm caressed the forehead of Soren and pushed away the disorganised bands of hair.
He further went on to place his left hand on the abdomen of Soren and tried to feel the mild heart beat that caused him to smile once again.
"Can you believe it Ren, it is our own child, our own little angel, our pride and joy." Conelm whispered in a jolly manner.
"Sure that Soren was perhaps listening in his short coma, he was satisfied about the news that he had received earlier on from the doctor and this kept him smiling fully without any hesitation.
"Oh my dear Ren, you are going to make me a father, we are going to have our own sweet and happy family." Conelm said.
"I think I better go and get a better meal prepared for his highness before he wakes up." Gerald said as he rose up and walked away.
"Make sure it is perfect because I do not want anything going wrong or something bad happening to either Soren or the child he is carrying." Conelm spoke after Gerald.
"I certainly will make sure of that Your Highness." Gerald replied before he disappeared out of the bedroom.
In a matter of time, the news had circulated around the whole palace and every one from the greatest of royals to the least of servants had heard that Soren, the future Queen was infact expecting a child.
