Chapter 94: Crossing the border.

Wu Yihuan looked to Qin Qianyu. She could tell that she had something heavy weighing on her mind.

"Ma'am, is everything alright?"

Qin Qianyu soon realised the she was being absentminded when Wu Yihuan pointed out that she was dunking her sliced melon into her tea.

"Just too much on my mind at the moment. There seems to be no lack of issues that require my attention. Sometimes wish I could clone myself."

" . . . "

Qin Qianyu saw the questioning look in Wu Yihuan's eyes and shook her head.

"Pay no attention to me. Maybe I just need to get some rest."

Wu Yihuan looked to Qin Qianyu and nodded,

"Ma'am, if you ever need me just say the word and I'll be there."

"Thanks, but seriously, there's no need. Just concentrate on your new life. If you ended up dragged into all of my issues too, you'll end up at square one just as a different person."

"Ma'am . . Do you possibly need an aide?"

"Hm!? . . Like a personal assistant?"

"Yes,"

"Haha, sorry, but I've already got one."

"Who says you can only have one?"

"Uh, she says, haha."

Qin Qianyu added referring to Su Yin.

"Listen, Wu Yihuan, you honestly don't need to pay me back. Just enjoy your new life and decide what you want to do with it."

"So you truly do everything yourself? You don't have any other members? Teammates or even an underground squad of some sort, it's just you and your assistant?"

Qin Qianyu thought about it some more. She raised her hand and covered the top half of Wu Yihuan's face.

"It's almost similar, did I subconsciously reshape your face to model my own?"

"Ma'am?"

"Nothing . . Just a thought."

Wu Yihuan was a smart woman. She had a fair idea what Qin Qianyu had in mind and asked,

"Would you like me to double for you while you're away?"

"Well . . It's a good idea but, it'll only serve to trick the eye from afar. If it's close up and if my small nuances or personality don't shine through people would suspect an impostor."

"Mhm, . . I see, . . If you ever need a double just let me know."

"Mhm, if I do, you'll be the first person I'd call."

Qin Qianyu never brought it up again, nor what Wu Yihuan should do with her new life. These things would be her own choices and decisions to make.

Qin Qianyu didn't want to influence her or make her feel pressured into repaying her.

Qin Qianyu had nothing more to discuss with Wu Yihuan and decided to head home.

Qin Qianyu was about to bade farewell to Wu Yihuan but was suddenly stopped,

"Ma'am, before you go, I have something I'd like to say."

"Oh, please speak your mind,"

"I've decided what I want to do now. I want to serve you ma'am."

"Wu Yihuan, you really don't ha . . "

Qin Qianyu didn't get to finish as Wu Yihuan interrupted her mid sentence.

"I know it seems like a waste of what you've given me. But, there's something deep inside me telling me this is the right direction for me to go in."

"Haise, alright, let's do this then. I'll be away for at least a week. In that time, I'll leave you a series of tasks. If one of them aren't completed then we'll not speak of this anymore. You'll go about being Wu Yihuan, an everyday person."

Qin Qianyu sighed then laid a set of challenges for Wu Yihuan to complete.

Wu Yihuan looked at the list that Qin Qianyu had given her and her eyes almost fell out of their sockets.

She didn't know if Qin Qianyu was doing this on purpose to make her fail or if it was genuine and these were the prerequisites to being by her side.

"All right, one week. I'll complete these tasks for you ma'am."

Wu Yihuan declared. Qin Qianyu said nothing and just nodded. Qin Qianyu made the tasks as daunting as she could make it.

Qin Qianyu left Wu Yihuan to her own devices and headed home. She had come up with a plan during her ride home.

She went to sleep after she solidified her thoughts.

With the advent of her body clock waking her, Qin Qianyu got stuck into her usual routine.

At breakfast the Lu and Qin families spoke about future plans. Lu Mingxi also added that she may not come back with her father during the weekends as she'd like to concentrate on designing her new entries into Ouxiang Up.

"What's happening with your old designs?"

"I received a call from the investigators, what they said wasn't very positive. They basically said to design another set for the competition and wished me luck."

"Talk about pressure! . . But, I'm 100% sure you'll do great."

Ouyang Zihan added to the conversation. Lu Li patted his daughter's head and with sincerity, nodded in affirmation.

Qin Haoran gave Lu Li the keys to the car he had been using telling him to leave it at the airports long term parking to use whenever he and Lu Mingxi fly to the capital.

While the adults chatted away, the two teens interrupted Bai Saan's breakfast so Lu Mingxi could say goodbye.

As the pair played around, Qin Qianyu received an alert to check her email.

"The SIC competition has been readjusted and shifted to run alongside Ouxiang Up, they've just sent me an official notice wishing for my participation just now,"

"Haha, I have a good feeling about all this! It's like it was meant to be, the pair of us will both be sitting our irrespective tests together so to speak then you, me, Mingyu and Wú Ling will enter Renshi university together!"

"Mhm, I'll be studying hard so please do the same. If you need anything though, don't hesitate to call, I'll do all I can to help you."

"Mhm, I will . . . Have you managed to get in contact with Wú Ling?"

"No, I've tried but got no response from her."

The pair seemed worried over their friend that seemed to have gone dark all of a sudden.

Lu Li had already packed the car and was waiting patiently for Lu Mingxi.

He sighed as he looked to his watch. They needed to get to the airport very soon, so he interrupted the two teens much to Lu Mingxi's dismay.

"It's not like it'll be forever, once you make it into the finals and win Ouxiang Up we can play as much as we like till the new semester starts."

"Haha, you're right. Take care and I'll see you When I see you."

Qin Qianyu gave Lu Mingxi a tight hug and she along with her family saw the Lu's off.

The Lu's bid farewell and left for the airport.

An hour after they left, a transport turned up.

Qin Haoran and Ouyang Zihan looked to Qin Qianyu confused and she explained to them that she was planing on taking Bai Saan to the mountain for a week or so.

"I'll be fine, the city is close to the back of the mountains I'll stay there for awhile plus, there's this,"

Qin Qianyu showed the pair her official notice for SIC and explained that she'll use this time to study while taking in some fresh air at the same time as letting Bai Saan roam in his natural environment.

When she finished explaining to her parents there was still some reluctance in their eyes and minds, but she managed to convince them in the end.

Qin Qianyu helped lead Bai Saan into a cage on the transport and the transport left towards the airport.

She had packed a backpack for herself after she had finished her breathing exercise. She had filled it with some weapons from the training grounds, extra medical supplies along with some generic acupuncture needles.

"Alright, I'm set. I'll call once I arrive at my destination and don't fret to much, it's not good for the baby."

Qin Qianyu added when she saw the look on Ouyang Zihan's face.

They saw her off when the taxi arrived. Some time later Ouyang Zihan sat on the sofa still a little flustered with everything.

So many things had happened in such a short amount of time. From Qin Qianyu being stalked and harassed then expelled from school. To the revelation that she was now pregnant to being evicted from their own home.

Then there was the entire SIC incident and Lu Mingyu's kidnapping, Lu Mingxi having her dress designs stolen.

All of this was so fresh in her mind. Ouyang Zihan wasn't a religious person, but she closed her eyes and prayed for divine intervention so that Qin Qianyu would be safe and protected.

At the airport, Qin Qianyu waited inside a cafe close to the entranceway that led to both the international and domestic terminals.

As she sat there staring out into nothingness

no one paid attention to her.

She was hard to recognise in her current disguise.

Qin Qianyu sipped on her hot chocolate, soon she spotted an elderly man that caused her to scowl.

It was Elder Song, and next to him was Song Zhaoge.

Qin Qianyu zeroed in on the ticket in Song Zhaoge's hand and noticed that it was a one way ticket internationally.

"Is he planning on running away?"

Qin Qianyu sent a message to Su Yin telling her to have a team follow Song Zhaoge. She looked to the outgoing international flights and found the times.

She sent that to her as well.

"Want to shirk responsibility? . . Let's stir the pot a little before letting it bubble over."

"I'll get on it right away. Whatever he's up to we'll dig it all up and disclose it to the world."

Qin Qianyu nodded to herself and paid no more attention to them as she was about to board her flight.

This would take her to the closest city near the boarders of the south. Qin Qianyu sat on the plane after making all the arrangements.

When she landed 8 hours later, she sat with AAC as they transported Bai Saan to the foot of the mountains.

"Miss are you sure, like really, really sure? The city is two hours from here, I really don't feel right leaving you here all alone,"

"Haha, thanks for your concern, but there's a village nearby that I'll head to after this then I'll travel to the city from there."

"Okay, I understand. Please be safe then, and thank you for choosing our services. Let me get your cat."

The AAC worker went to the back and opened the trucks back door. He fell to the ground immediately when Bai Saan's face came into view.

"Miss what are you . . "

Qin Qianyu sighed and picked the man up before she entered the back to open Bai Saan's cage.

"Thanks for your hard work, I'll take care of my cat now, so thanks."

Qin Qianyu jumped off and Bai Saan followed suit. The pair soon disappeared into the thick grove before she stopped to change into a more appropriate attire.

"Alright big guy. Be good and don't get caught. I'll be back in a few days at the earliest."

"Rwar?"

"Yeah of course I'm confident! . . Well . . I'm not unconfident!"

Qin Qianyu says as she pets Bai Saan heavily. She left him to go explore. She then pulled out a large plastic bag and filled it with her clothes before she buried it in a shallow grave.

She repackaged her backpack with the bare essentials and got ready to set off.

When Bai Saan came back, she was hoping he'd stay near the scent she left.

Qin Qianyu marked her current spot on her phone using gps and headed off in a certain direction as she had planned on crossing the broader before night fell.

She looked back in the direction Bai Saan had run off too then continued on her way once again.

"Wish me luck big guy. Hopefully I won't be alone when I come back."

Using shadowless steps, Qin Qianyu ran for 2 hours straight. She stopped for a rest and to check her bearings.

"I should be at the southern tripoint now, why don't I see anything?"

When she checked her phones gps location she found she was already in Laos. She had already passed the junction where the boarder base should have been.

This wasn't what she had planned but she'll take it.

What she really needed was information. She had a general location of where Grandpa Wú was when he made his last check in.

She entered the coordinates into her phone and headed in that general direction.

A few hours more, Qin Qianyu found the general area that Grandpa Wú had sent his last communication from.

It was close to a mountain village that looked picturesque with its lanterns all lit up. Judging from the time the locals would be settling in for dinner.

Qin Qianyu decided to join them and after she reached into her bag she pulled out some self heating ready to eat meals.

Beef stew with rice was on tonight's menu.
