Blah blah blah. I folded the paper and threw it to the opened drawer beside my bed. I was already back from collecting my timetable from a principal who called himself Mr. Young but the irony is that he's not actually young. I partially read the time table, sighing, aware that work starts tomorrow fully.
My stomach grumbled annoyingly; I was really hungry and I needed to eat. I stood from my bed, noticing the red haired girl had left the room. Weird though, I don't even know any of their names. It was more like I'm considered an outcast in this room. I walked to where the brown haired girl was still busy with her laptop.
"Where's the cafeteria? I need to get dinner please." She continued typing, I hesitated, considering leaving and looking for it myself. But again, I don't want to get lost. I was about to leave but she stopped me.
"Climb down the stairs, move left then turn straight down." She said without glancing up.
"Thanks." I mumbled and was about to walk away.
"By the way, I'm Mira." She said
"Aurora." I replied.
"I know." She said shortly.
I turned away and walked out. Not ready for some crazy humans called my roommate. This academy does sound strange; first that odd guy ignored me and now, my own roommate. I chased away the unnecessary, unprofitable thoughts as I climbed down the stairs, my stomach still grumbling. As i walked, I heard a piano playing, stopping, I hesitated tracking the place or just going to the cafeteria. After much hesitation, I decided to head to the cafeteria.
I walked few feet and turned back again. I need to, not want to, go to wherever they're playing it. Presumably, I was going to get lost again but I careless. You can't blame me, I loved piano and whoever the player was, he must be very good. The irony was, I can't play but I loved it. I ascended up the stairs again, then waited patiently to hear it. I needed to climb up again, I ran up the stairs again and strained out my ears to hear exactly where it was coming from. I walked down the hall, then turned right. I was pretty sure of where I was going because the sound kept getting louder and louder. I turned, then turned and turned to different directions. Only God knows where I was and where I'm going to.
Finally I heard the sound of the piano playing closer than before. I gently walked to the room where it was coming from. I took a deep breath and pushed the door slightly then opened it widely.
A boy with white hair sat playing the piano, his fingers moving freely and his eyes closed. He was playing you're the reason by Calum Scott. He way playing, after a few minutes he started singing unexpectedly.
There goes my heart beating
Cause you're the reason
I'm loosing my sleep
Please come back now
And there goes my heart racing
And you're the reason
That I'm still breathing
I'm hopeless now
I'd climb every mountain
And swim every ocean
Just to be with you
And fix what I've broken
Oh, cause I need you to see
That you're the reason.....
The song I wished will remain endless, finished too quickly, his voice was angelic . I wasn't even aware that the white haired boy was already starting at me confused. Unaware of what to do, I gave him an awkward smile and took a few steps back then finally backed away. I turned and hurriedly walked away. Lacking all knowledge of where I was going, I just walked away not familiar with the surrounding. I did not even take proper notice of where I passed to go to the piano, I was simply too desperate to move there.
I finally stopped walking, turning around, I paused then sighed. It was obvious and I was not oblivious of the fact that I was lost. If only, I had not been too careless. Certainly, time had gone and the day darkened, signalling the evening was almost over. I started walking again in the endless hall, the wind blew tremendously, as the cool breeze hit my skin. I smiled, a true smile. This feels like deja Vu, those good old days; I thought as I continued walking. I wish, no I don't wish.
I just want to get out of this place, though the breeze is promising me a better future but I was lost! I have to find my way back to my dorm, to be sure. I walked aimlessly down the hallway and saw two different passages. One leading left and the other leading right. Non of this looked any familiar to me. So I just continued walking down the hall. I saw different passages as I walked but I still walked straight ahead. One thing I've learnt, straight road are always the best.
The day darkened the more as I still strolled down. I wasn't surprised I was not seeing any student, first the school was large and they just resumed. Unlike me, they'll probably be settling down now. I came to an halt when I saw another passage leading left and right. I exhaled in fustration and exhaled again, knowing the decision I was about to take. I turned right and started walking in the dark halls.
Damn! I continued walking for what felt like an endless time, my legs were kind of aching me and seriously I was about to lose hope until I saw a part I recognized, the same place Victoria saved me from. I quickly turned right again walking to that place then from there I remembered everything and I started walking to my dorm.
I sighed in relief as I pushed opened my door. The two girls were no where in sight. Like I care anyway? I didn't even bother changing. I just fell to my bed ready to sleep, my stomach grumbled again in hunger; I have no choice but to sleep hungry. I closed my eyes and sleep came too quickly.
