CHAPTER FIVE

"Hi?" I replied, question like and awkwardly.

"Hey." Victoria quickly said, easing the tension and smiling brilliantly.

The white haired guy just grinned.

"You were the same person I saw in my piano room right?" He asked.

In his piano room? who gave him his piano room? He must be a joker, Victoria nudged me slightly, reminding me that I haven't answered.

"Joker." I blurted out, too quickly. They both gave me a questioning look. "I mean no, um yeah, yes. It was me." I said then released a long breath.

"Calm down." Victoria whispered to me. I just nodded.

"Okay. I am Alex." He said, stretching his hand.

"I'm Aurora." I replied, shaking it

"And you know I'm Victoria." She said jokingly as she bowed down slightly.

He just chuckled.

"I know." He said backing away. "See you later then, Aurora and Victoria." He entered the cafeteria. We both followed him, entering the cafeteria. Well, I expected what I was seeing. The cafeteria was like a building alone. It was very long and wide with different colours of light. The decor on the interior wall were amazing, each furnitures were obviously classical, expensive and modern. Each table had it's flower vase and floor was positively clean covered in rug. Too cut the long story short, it looked more like a fancy restaurant than an academy cafeteria. But again, this was a school for the rich like they will always say.

Victoria led me to a table where a guy with dark brown hair and brown eyes sat alone working on something that looked like a small robot.

We both sat down and the guy was so engrossed in whatever he was doing that he didn't even notice our presence.

"Jack." Victoria called.

He glanced up

"Oh, hey." He said scratching his head.

"You're still working on this science project."

"Yes." He replied sighing.

Victoria just rolled her eyes.

"This is Aurora and Aurora meet my bestie, Jack."

"Hi Aurora." He said.

"Hi." I replied beaming.

Victoria called a waiter or server. She took her order, I took mine and Jack was so engrossed that they had to tap him. He also took his. After few minutes the waiter arrived and I munched my food hungrily; we ate in silence until Jack decided to break it.

"What classes are you taking?"

"Business, science, mystery......" I said with food in my mouth. I simply did not care but Victoria cut me short.

"Bad habit." She said to me then turned to Jack. "Wait till she's done."

A bell I had no idea on what it was signalling rang and people started leaving the cafeteria.

Jack who hardly ate and Victoria whose food quantity was little compared to mine were both done. They stood up too and I looked at them confused.

"What?" I asked with food in my mouth.

"Sorry we have to leave because we have a class now and I believe you have too but we have to go quickly. What's your business class."

"Business class three." I replied.

"Mine is four, so ours is different. You'll just walk straight then tun left, climb two stairs up then follow the first passage you'll see your class. It will be easy." She said in one breath.

"Okay." I responded as I watched the both of them leave. I looked around and saw only seven more students who sat relaxed. I just assumed they don't have class

I munched my food quickly, after few minutes I was done, I stood up wiping my mouth clean. I picked up my bag and hurriedly walked outside.

"I won't get lost, I won't." I kept repeating it to myself as I turned left and ascended the stairs. I ran up the stairs and did the same for the second stairs. I followed the first passage and reduced my speed, aware my class is among this line. I heard a voice coming from a particular class. I walked and before entering. I stopped, took a deep breath then entered inside.

The room immediately turned silent and all eyes were on me. I walked to an empty seat I saw at the back and sat down. I turned to look at the teacher who was a man with black hair, green eyes and tall. Not to forget, quite handsome too. He should be in his middle or early thirties. I don't really care any way. The teacher looked at me, raising his eyebrows. I just stared at him blankly, aware the all class were looking at me.

I averted my gaze from the teacher and looked around, studying my surrounding. I sighed as I noticed I sat beside the strange guy, the white haired, I mean Alex sat in front of me. The other girl Alex was talking to in the hall sat at my left, in the front. I closed then reopened my eyes, looking back at the teacher who was busy writing something on the board. They were two different sections, a board and a place for the projector.

Should I be happy or sad this teacher ignored me? Well I don't actually care....

"Would you care to introduce yourself?" He said impassively.

"I'm Aurora, Aurora Walker." I said as loud as I could.

"And I'm Mr. Max, your business teacher. You can meet with the other students later if you care." He said pointing to them, I just nodded. "Let's go back to our topic." He said turning to the board but he stopped. "Miss Walker, late appearance will not be accepted. Next time, I expect you to be on time." He added, I just nodded as I watched him face the board writing something then he turned back.

I looked around once more and sighed, adjusting and adapting here was not as easy as I thought.

"This session will be a bit different from last session. As usual, it will be theoretical. We might go back to some topics of last session like adaptability, money consciousness, management e.t.c and reflect more on them, either adding them to other topics or explaining them differently, bringing lots of philosophical and psychological justification and clarification." He just earned few nods from students while some looked at him intently. This business class better be good.

"So today we'll be looking at the topic; Think and the power of thought in a business world." He paused then looked at all of us. " Somebody once said thought are things and powerful things at that. Thought are so powerful like the way energy is, positive or negative energy, good or bad thought." He walked around and continued. "There's an ether in this little planet that is filled with a universal power which adapt itself to the nature of the thought we have in our mind; and influences us, in natural ways, to transmute our thoughts into their physical equivalent. This power according to Napoleon Hill makes no attempt to discriminate between destructive and constructive thought, it will urge us to translate into physical reality thought of poverty just as quickly as it will influence us to act upon thought of riches." He paused and continued walking around. "Our brains become magnetised with the dominating thought we hold in our mind. These magnet attract to us the forces, the people, the circumstance of life which harmonise with the nature of our domineering thought. I must tell you that I'm a business man and I believe in science, for non of this is false but deep down, there lies a meaning." He stopped walking, then looked around, his gaze landed on me, he gave me a small smile then turned to his impassive expression.

"Aurora can you tell us why the English poet W.C. Henley wrote this lines; 'i am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul." I looked at him confused that he'd actually called me. I blinked then bit my lips. I better say something sensible, I pleaded to myself.
