Don’t Move

Everyone is under lockdown and cannot leave their rooms as a full search takes place throughout the palace. 


Me, Anax and Calliope are with James as we are the caretakers of the children. That’s our role in the palace. 


“What on Kerogen’s Earth happened?” James asks us all angrily, “how can a child go missing without a trace? No one saw and no one heard anything, how is that possible?” We all flinch. 


“Father I apologize but none of us were aware anything of this sort occurred until Heidi noticed,” Anax says honestly and James glares at him. “You should though,” James says with annoyance, “you should constantly be checking and making sure that these children are safe and accounted for. That no one is scheming anything otherwise you know what happens? They die or get executed or get banished. It’s enough. Doesn’t everyone agree we have had enough of all this?” We all tense and nod.
