Chapter 7& Chapter 8

CHAPTER SEVEN

It started off the same every single time without fail. It would begin with me standing in front of my childhood home, staring at it with dubiety. The sky was painted with an overcast, tinted murky gray.

Discolored fall leaves fell to the oddly colored grass, the unnatural colors floated on and about giving an eerie look to the scene. Even though it was a dream, it was unbelievably real. I could feel the gentle breeze of the wind as it blew my hair over my face.

Every muscle within me tensed as I felt the reoccurring helplessness as my body moved forward against my will. I unwillingly became a prisoner of my own mind. That was the worst part. The fact that I was totally and completely helpless to make a difference or to stop the wretched nightmare.

The jaws of panic crushed my lungs, turning the organs into shriveled sacks that could barely hold air.

"Not again.. please not again.." the words repeated over and over again in my mind like a silent prayer.
