Chapter 9 & Chapter 10

CHAPTER NINE

Dee and I decided to start the weekend off with a movie night. However, after the second poorly produced film, Dee called it a night and curled into her bed. Her and Jay had been bickering a lot this past week so she was staying in our dorm for the weekend.

I glared at her sleeping form with envy. I felt restless and exhausted thanks to the rigorous exercising Coach Dawson put Dee and I, well and the entire P.E. class through that morning. I should have probably went to sleep because tomorrow was visiting day and I was looking forward to seeing Ryan. But my mind was running back and forth. Seeing my worst nightmares bleed into my real life was wearing on my mental health. I didn't get any sleep last night because of what happened during our field trip. Sure it was just a twisted trick of my imagination, but it was one that ripped off the scars of my barely healed soul, creating new fresh wounds.
