Chapter 11 & Chapter 12

CHAPTER ELEVEN

Dee was waiting for me outside of class. She was grinning like a Cheshire cat with a mischievous plan. My shoulders slumped as I trudged toward her. Why did I have to bond with a person almost as crazy as me?

"Well, hello to you too, sunshine." Dee said lacing her arm around mine, dragging me along with her.

"What is that evil little mind of yours conjuring up?" I asked, poking Dee in the center of her forehead.

"Well.." She clasped her hands behind her back and rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet.

"Jay and some friends are hanging around the track field. I thought you might want to come!"

"It's a school night? I'm already slumped with a heap of pre calc homework." I said sluggishly.

Dee batted her long lashes and stuck her full bottom lip out.

"Fine." I muttered.

"But I don't really have anything fancy to wear."

Dee's grin grew wider and her eyes flashed with excitement.

"I'll take care of your appearance for the night." Dee sung.
