At Your Service.

RAPHAEL'S POV.

I groan when I hear persistent knocks at my door. Snuggling deeper into my pillows, I hear the door open and before I know it, someone jumps on me.

"Oomph! WHAT THE HELL STEPH! GET THE FUCK OFF ME!"

"No! Not until you wake your sexy ass up!"

"Jesus! Give me patience before I kill someone!" I curse against my pillow. Groaning loudly, I sit up in my bed pushing Stephanie off me. I hear a loud thud and squeaky 'ouch' I smirk satisfied. Serves her right.

She stands and wipes off imaginary dust all the while having an adorable pout on her face.

"Playing the victim are we now?" My morning voice sounding deeper than usual.

She rolls her eyes and her face immediately brightens.

"Oh no, I know that face, what are you up to this early in the morning? I think I deserve an explanation after you ruined my sleep."

"Yes actually you do. Did you forget what day today is?" She asks casually.

"No, what's happening today?"

She shakes her head in disappointment. "You're unbelievable Raph! Your project's launching is today and we have a luncheon to attend. Now get up from your bed before I drag you out of it myself."

My head falls back and I groan. "How did I forget that? Must be the jet-lag."

"I don't care about your stupid jet-lag. It's been three days since we flew. Now hurry and get ready. Everyone's waiting at the lounge and don't make me come back here because If I have to shower you myself, I will." Steph says as she heads out my suite.

"You wish you could babygirl!" I hear a loud 'ew', showing me her middle finger before shutting my door on her way out. Letting out a chuckle, I get up from bed and head to the shower.

I was looking forward to the launch but the luncheon, not so much. Despising public events, I wasn't planning on going but my friends convinced me otherwise, saying it will only be a small group of unknown people. I sure hope it is otherwise I'll wring their necks as soon as we leave.

Fifteen minutes later I was on my way to the lounge.

"There he is. Finally the King has decided to grace our presence!" Brian opens his big mouth.

"Fuck off Brian." I growl.

A series of 'good morning' are heard and I greet them back, settling down next to Gabriel. Emily passes me the waffles basket and syrup.

Getting ready to break my fast, I ask, "What time should we be there?"

"Thirty minutes tops, but no rush, enjoy your breakfast. The site isn't far from here." Emily assures me.

Passing the next ten minutes with business chatters and constant mindless bickering between Brian and Steph, we're done with breakfast and heading to the launching site.

Two hours later.

"Well the launch was a success. The land is perfectly accommodating and has the best view in town." Alexander says in content sitting beside me in the car. We were riding to the luncheon and it was clear my moods had dampened.

He's been trying to engage me in a conversation but he finally got the hint and kept quiet.

I just wanted to get done and over with this bullshit luncheon.

We rode in silence the rest of the ride there.

"Sir, we're here." The chauffer called from the front seat.

"Bloody hell!" Taking in the scene of the luncheon being in full swing with a large number of people, I clench my jaw and turn to face Alex, a murderous glint in my eyes.

"You're all fucking dead!"

The pompous motherfucker just shrugged apologetically and got out of the car donning a smirk on his face. They were all dead men walking, wait till we were out of this place.

Cursing inwardly, I stepped out the car. Joining my friends, people started looking our way. "Well, fuck this."

Bracing myself for a dreadful afternoon, we walk towards the crowd.

JASMINE'S POV

I was already exhausted half an hour into the work. A lot of wealthy people showed up, even some town folks.

As if I wasn't having a tiring day, Cole and Brenda showed up. Makes sense though because Brenda's dad was the mayor, she probably invited Cole as her date.

She looked beautiful in her purple long dress, her slit was high up showing her long slender leg. It hurt to admit but they looked good together.

When they spotted me serving drinks on the next table, Cole had an apologetic look on his face whereas Brenda was devilishly smirking, the nerve the girl had.

So to say, I quickly served the drinks and got the hell out of there. Feeling a head-ache coming up, I went and sat down in the workers section.

"Jasmine, you okay?" Mary asked me once she spotted me.

"Yeah, just a minor headache but I'll survive." I say giving her a warm look.

"Okay, anyway, Patricia is planning to make a move on one of those hot guys."

"What hot guys? I've only seen old people here and the young ones are either here with someone or married."

She rolls her eyes and gestures me to follow her head movement.

Oh, I definitely see Patricia carrying a tray of drinks towards a table that wasn't occupied before.

I would definitely remember that because Brenda and her group were occupying one close to it. I couldn't see their faces clearly but there were four men clad in suits and two women.

"Well they look young but we're too far to tell if they are good looking." I state out my observation.

Before Mary got the chance to answer me I was called by our supervisor.

Rushing to where she was standing, she gave me two small paper slips that had the number of the tables I was supposed to serve next.

"Table 11 and table 6," I muttered under my breathe. Oh no! Table 11 was the one with the new guys, next to BRENDA'S!

Aargh! Let's get this over with.

Grabbing my tray of drinks, I went towards the table where Patricia still was apparently. Finally able to see their faces, I almost dropped the tray I was holding.

These people were breathtaking, a sore sight to my eyes. I just stood there awkwardly staring at them in awe and disbelief.

Someone cleared his/her throat and I broke out of my shocked daze.

It was actually weird because they were staring at me too. Did I have something on my face? I consciously asked myself.

"Uh, I'm sorry." I said lowering my head and started serving their drinks.

"You have beautiful eyes. Are they yours or contact lenses?" The female with red hair asked.

"Uhm, yes they're mine and thank you, yours are beautiful too." I compliment her bright green eyes my cheeks reddening.

I stood there yet again unsure of what to do next until Patricia spoke reminding me she was still there.

"Jasmine, you can go now, serve appetizers or something." She brushes me off, donning a sweet fake smile as if she was the boss.

Before I could retort back, a voice so deep came from Patricia's side of the table, making me tremble to my core. "I think you're the one who should leave."

Looking behind Patricia, I was so glad I was holding the table because the man responsible almost made me pass out.

He was so handsome! So sexy, in fact none of his friends were as beautiful as him. His brown eyes were intense, looking straight at me, my throat went dry and my knees almost buckled over.

We stared at each other caught in a trance that felt like eternity.

"Jeez! Cut it out people." A guy who had shoulder-length blonde hair said while rolling his eyes.

"I'm sorry." I quickly turn away from the table and headed straight back to the workers tent.

What the hell was that! I've never felt so strongly about someone and it scared me, a lot.

RAPHAEL'S POV

"What the hell was going on Raph?" Brian asks once both girls left.

"What? She was annoying the hell out of me with her shitty flirting." I merely shrug.

"Not the blonde one bro, the other hot one!" He continues nagging me.

"I don't know what you're talking about now bug off."

"We felt the sexual tension all the way from here man, right guys?" Brian asks the others. I hear replies of 'yeahs' 'definitely' and 'hell yeah' last one coming from Steph.

"You're lucky she was enticed by you man! If she wasn't, I'd totally do her." Brian adds dreamingly. I don't know why but when he said that, I felt like snapping his neck there and then.

It was strange but for some reason my mind couldn't stop thinking about the waitress girl. I noticed her as soon as she walked up top our table and my breathe caught in my throat. I've never laid eyes on someone as enticing as her.

It came as a surprise to me too because I knew many beautiful women but hers was on a whole unearthly level.

I had the instinct to claim her as mine and that shit scared me. Snapping out on my thoughts I focused back to my friends.

"We don't even know her name though and I haven't seen her since she walked away. Probably got scared off and left." Emily says.

"Too bad." Brian adds.

The next half an hour, we eat, exchange pleasantries with people in the event, including the mayor and his daughter who was eye-fucking me shamelessly in front of everyone. What a turn off!

When we left the event, my moods were even worse than before and what annoyed me the most was that I couldn't stop thinking about the violet-eyed waitress.
