Movie night

She wondered around the back of the house as death called upon her,

Howling her name so passionately, she looked up at the stars,

Hearing him whisper into her ear, "It is here where your adventure should end."

Standing beside her grave staring 6 feet below, if only the rules she could bend,

When it's time to go is when you look back in time,

And see, you could have given the poor a dime.

When you're the last one on earth,

Is when you come to appreciate your loved ones as you weep in the dirt.

DNA streaming beyond her abdominal causing hemorrhagic shock,

Skin that was once named "beauty" turned pale and grey,

Going in and out of consciousness in a pool of her own blood,

Now unaware of her condition as she felt no pain.

Internal organs gradually shutting down as her life flashed before her in a blink of an eye,

She then made her way towards the sparkling light ahead of her,

Suddenly her phobia of the precious thing called "Death" diminished,

As she laid at bay.

If you couldn't tell, the movie I went to see with Afyre was a horror film. Like any typical scary movie, it started jolly and finished bloody. That's what inspired me to write this poem.

As Afyre and Spectacles were enjoying the movie, I took this time to observe them casually. Afyre would often bite her lips when someone was about to be killed or, more likely, when a bloody scene would occur, which made me very skeptical. On the other hand, Eliizabeth would either shriek or cover her face . It was truly amusing.

We proceeded to wander around the mall. I bought a couple of things for Mother. We went to an ice cream parlor then Spectacles came up with the idea that we should all go our separate ways to buy each other a gift.

Now, I never really bought someone a gift before, so I wanted it to be good. I've noticed that Eliizabeth loves to read, so I made my way down to the book store and picked up "Les liaisons dangereuses" (Dangerous Liaisons) by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. It's a very entertaining book if you ask me.

And for Afyre, I've noticed that she's ever so often late for class, so I went to the jewelry store and bought her a wristwatch.

I was beyond excited to see my presents. It was like Secret Santa all over again, but instead of Mother and Grandma, it was actual acquaintances. I am unable to call them my friends as yet because I only just met them today.

We all agreed to meet each other back at the theaters. Apparently, I was the first one to arrive and shortly after Spectacles . This aura surrounded us, and I could tell that she felt the same way about me. She gave me a dirty glance just like her glasses. I couldn't stand her, and we haven't even exchanged a single word. She then proceeded to say, "Afyre isn't here."

"No shit, after 5 minutes of waiting, it's now that she realizes," I blurted out, speaking my mind. I was now mentally facepalming myself as her eyes squinted. She was holding something in; I didn't know what. Finally, Afyre arrived with a broad smile from ear to ear upon her face; she has a way of lightening up the mood.

As we reached outside of the mall, we began exchanging gifs; they suggested that I start.

First, I gave Spectacles her gift; I could tell she liked it because she did a quick but small smile, noticing that I wasn't going to get a word out of her, I noted,

" You'll love it. It has just about everything from the 18th century. From romance to mistresses, I'm not going to spoil it. What's the fun in that."

She then scoffed, "Yeah, whatever, it's not like I'm going to read it anyway."

I shook my head and gave Afyre hers,

" I see you have been observing me well, just like I have you! It's alright though, not really my color, but who cares!" Afyre suddenly says at the top of her lungs, bringing me and Spectacles to a fright. We then both began to laugh, us too at the top of our lungs with all eyes on us.

Spectacles got me gym shorts and a tank top. I replied with, " Just my type of style; I'm glad those hideous leggings didn't tempt you. Thank you."

And Afyre for me ... wait for it , a curtain and a new bed set. She hissed that it was so I could get a good night's sleep so that I can be prepared to see Mr. Pion's, and I quote, "ugly face in the morning." I couldn't help but giggle.

As we made our way back to the school, I spotted an odd car in the lot; it seemed like they wanted to go unnoticed, they weren't winning at that, though.

Who brings a black tented car to a stakeout ? What a Cliché.

Soon after, we walked on the sidewalk when an unknown small white car drove up next to us to ask if we needed a lift. We politely declined, but he was persistent. Afyre then yelled,

"WE SAID NO! WE DO NOT WANT A RIDE IN YOUR BEAT UP CAR, NOW CAN YOU PLEASE, NAY! YOU MUST LEAVE US ALONE."

She then took us by the wrist, and we proceeded to speed up.

As I reached home, I thought,

'Today was one weird day.'
