Third person POV
As they ran for their lives people were slowly dying. Everest was not holding Kate's hand anymore as she ran slightly behind him. He had pulled both Kate and Jude behind a shack at the front of the village.
"We need to get to the mounts" Everest says quickly, looking at them. Kate looked at him like he was crazy. "We can't just leave while are village is getting demolished!" she whisper yelled. "What choice do we have" Jude joined in.
"Who are you again" she snapped at Jude. He just rolled his eyes at her annoyed and frustrated. "What choice do we have Kate" Everest explained with desperation in his voice. "What happens when my farther comes back and there are still more drones here" she said with tear filled eyes.
He shook his head frustrated. He looked back and saw the damage become worse and more drones come from the trees. He turned back to her with desperation in his eyes. "Kate please" he pleaded. She shook her head "I'm sorry I can't leave my village" she said.
He closed his eye and took a shaky breath before opening them again. "Find have it your way" he spat harshly before running to the direction of the east forest with Jude instantly following him. It would have been fine if it wasn't for the two drones that followed them.
They both ran fast but the drones were fast to as they weaved threw trees easily. Everest got behind a big tree pulling out a arrow and pulling back the bow. He turned around, aimed and quickly released the arrow hitting it at the camera causing it to malfunction then drop.
Jude was ahead of him as he started running again. He jumped over a log, landing on his feet then kept running. He pulled out another arrow pulling back the bow while running. He looked forward making sure nothing was in his way before looking back and aiming, he released the arrow and ..... bullseye.
They were walking for sometime now side by side. Everest looked up and noticed the sky getting dark. "Hey, we should set up camp and call it a night soon" he told Jude breaking the silence. Jude looked up at the sky and also noticed it getting dark so they decided to set up camp here.
They set up a fire in between two trees so they could both lean on one. Jude looked at Everest with a curious look. "Why did you leave" he suddenly asked. Everest looked at him confused. "What do you mean" he asked back.
"Back there with Kate, I for sure thought you were going to drag her with us but you didn't, why?" He asked with a curious look. "I can't stop her if she wanted that" he said simply. He just rolled his eyes. "It's not about if you can stop her it's about if you'll try to stop her" he said obviously.
"She was going to get us killed" Everest spoke with a little hostility in his voice. Jude was about to say something before Everest cut him off. "Don't you want to save your people?" He asked. Jude just looked at him with a plain look. "And you have a dream" he said back.
"Which is more important to you" he countered. Everest's eyes widened an inch. Everest didn't have a response to that. When Jude didn't get an answer he simply leaned back and closed his eyes. Everest pondered.
Which was more important to him
