Third person POV
They woke up early and decided to look for a river for water. They took down camp and and started walking to the direction that leads out of the forest. There was a short nude colored path way so they followed that.
"Why do you want to be a forest carrier In the first place" Jude suddenly asked. Everest smiled just thinking about it. "I love nature" he stated. "I love the feeling of swinging through the trees, with my bow and arrow" he continued.
"Where did you discover your love for it" Jude asked. Everest smiled faltered a little bit after hearing the question. "My mom, she loved doing it and decided to show me" Everest explained. "I loved doing it ever since" he ended.
The tension in the air got thicker so Jude decided to stop with questions for now. As they were walking they heard a bird call. Everest turned around and smiled when he saw his red crow flying to him. He landed on his shoulder with a flap.
"Hi red" Everest cooed as he petted his head. "How the hell did that bird survive" Jude asked surprised. Everest just smiled at him. "Red can fly Jude, it's quit obvious how he survived" Everest countered.
Jude just nodded. Everest looked back at the bird until an idea popped into his head. "Do you think we can get a message to Kate" he asked. Jude just crossed his arms. "If she's still alive" he countered. "Don't say stuff like that" Everest said to him annoyed.
Jude just put his hands in a sign of submission. Everest turned back to his bird and smiled. "Yea buddy can you do that" he asked with a cute voice. "What are you even gonna write with" Jude asked. Everest put his hair into a pony tail and hesitantly pulled up red,s wing taking out a feather.
He sighed in relief. "Ok but why did you have to put up your hair" Jude asked. "Cause he usually makes a fuss when I do that" Everest said taking out his pony tail allowing it to fall over his shoulders and into his face.
He took out the piece of paper Kate gave to him and ripped off a small piece. He wrote 'Kate if your alive we are heading to the higher ups' and put it in the tiny box hooked to his back before sending him off. The bird flew off looking for Kate.
They kept walking until they were out of the woods and instantly found a lake write in front of them. Since they didn't any bottles to pack any water they would have to drink as many as they could take. When Everest was done he brought the back of his hand to his mouth and wiped off the water.
He made his way back over to Jude. "We need a coordinator" he suddenly said. "A what?" He asked. "A coordinator" he repeated. "Why" Jude asked. "We need someone to translate this" he said holding up the coordinates to the higher ups "to an actual place" he finished.
"So where can we find one" Jude asked.
"I have no idea"
