Chapter 12.

I found the next day went by quickly, although I was completely exhausted from last night - where I was way too busy overthinking what that hag meant. I felt myself shudder at the thought, I still had no idea what she meant-

Unless..

She's after Kai?!

I stopped in the middle of the hall, tears pricking my eyes at the thought. I quickly shaked my head, getting rid of that absurd belief. I couldn't believe she's after him. No, I won't.

I speed walked to the café that I still work out, although my hours had been dimmed down to 20 hours a week. I sigh, is it really even worth going in for that little?

Oh well. Money's money. I shrug it off and continue on.

Once I had got home, I collapsed into my chair. I spun around in it for a little while, before I cracked on with the work I was set. As soon as I logged in, I found a message from the username;

👑𝕭𝕵 𝕯𝖗𝖆𝖐𝖊🗝.

How strange..

I click on it, such an unusual email address. Perhaps a bot or something. I quickly clicked on the email that read;

To @Y/N

I have found you to be quite distant. Watching you, I think you might be thinking about me still. Is that true?

Perhaps you miss me already.

I'll see you soon.

Your admirer,

Me.

I stare at the email, completely dumbfounded. Kai? No, this username is too distraught and unusual. I sat there, with a perplexed expression. That girl? No.. This person seems like a man. Acts like it, to the very least.

Plus, that girl is after Kai.

My subconcious hissed to me, which sent a tingle up my spine. I felt scared and jealous at the same time, I had to warn him at the very least.

I quickly dialed his number and he picked up on the second ring.

"What is it now, Y/N?" He mumbled, sounding rather exasperated. As if he's bored of me.

"What do you mean?" I frown lightly.

"I already saw you a couple of hours ago, stop playing dumb. Do you want another round, or did you butt dial me?" Overhaul continued on, and my skin tingled.

"What are you talking about? I haven't seen you for at least a week." I hiss into the phone, completely outraged. How could he mistake me for someone else? Dumbass.

"You clearly came to me, all dolled-up, wanting to use my sofa for something more than a little explicit." He sounded slightly amused now, and I felt my breath catch.

"Kai, I never doll-myself-up when I meet up with you." I whisper, fear scathed across me.

He remained quiet on the other line for a moment, before he mumbled.

"Then, who was it?"
