Chapter 13.

I peered up at the large gate that loomed over me, before I punched in the code, strode to the door and unlocked it. How anyone other than me and the Yakuza members got in is beyond me.

I was still pretty hung up on how Kai could even mistake someone for me, perhaps a shape-shifter, though I've never heard of nor seen anyone with that kind of quirk.

Sounds bad, when in the wrong hands, which it must be if they're pretending to be me.

I strode across the concrete, my heels clicking as I did. I walked past a room, of which holds most of the Yakuza, eating and laughing about something. I shake my head in disapproval, *how immature*.

I knocked on Kai's office door, though didn't wait for a response, and stepped inside. He was sat waiting on his usual sofa, clasped hands and slightly hunched over. He nodded towards the opposite sofa, where I sat down.

It was only yesterday that I had called him and found out he had fallen for a dolled-up shape-shifter.

I was wearing a checkered dress with a white collar, that went down to my lower thighs. I smoothed it over my knees, my boots were as high as my upper shins. I didn't wear make-up, or perhaps, nothing extravagant and mostly natural. Though, today, I had made sure he could recognise me for my usual look.

"So," He leaned back, placing his gloved hands on his knees and got straight to the point. "You said you weren't here yesterday?" An eyebrow of his quirked up, clearly to clarify I wasn't just pissed.

"That's right, I wasn't here. How you mistook me for someone else is ridiculous." I snorted, and he responded with a short sigh.

"I know, but now we need to find the culprit and thoroughly eradicate them." His gaze hardened as he said this.

"Killing them would only put a further target on your head. I suggest we find them and lock them up with the heroes until further notice." I lean slightly forwards, my exasperation seething through my words.

"Hm.. I'll think about the offer, though I assure you, fooling the Yakuza boss isn't exactly something you get off from so lightly." He said as he stood up, peering down at me. "That's all, right?"

I frown lightly, before I pushed myself up. "What's gotten you to be so distant?" My frown turned into a glare.

"I feel like someone fooling me into believing they're my girlfriend is something I should be wary about. Right now, I'm still contemplating whether you're actually F/N L/N." He moved to the door, leaving me gaping.  The door clicked as he opened it. "I'll see you soon, I'm sure."

My mouth set into a grim line as I shoved past him and through the door, my heels clicked as I walked straight to the exit. The door of Overhaul's office slammed as he shut it.

"Dipshit." I mumbled as I walked.
