She had one final night in Neul before having to ride towards the institute. She held her obsidian in her hands. It had been collecting dust on her bedside table for a while now. She wanted to meet the Dreamer, but he hadn't answered her calls.

Once she fell asleep, she found herself on the Ruby Hills, near the manor that had once belonged to her worst enemy.

Serenica stepped inside the manor. She knew it was but a dream, but she was still amazed by what she saw. Everything had changed.

Where there had been minimal decorations and dull paintings, there were now elaborate, colorful tapestries and little sparkling objects that took geometrically complex forms – she had never seen such shapes before. Music was playing in the hall. A violinist and a percussionist were having a good time, coordinating their playing together and smiling as they played.
