Chapter 33: That's for trapping my son into marrying you

Amara was zipping up her dress when she heard Aiden call her name.

She looked up and saw him extend his arm to her. She looked at what he was holding and recognized her phone. She had completely forgotten about it.

Without saying anything else he went downstairs. Aiden looked at his wrist watch and saw it was 7:30 already. He sat down to quickly eat his breakfast.

Amara saw her phone was switched off. She turned it on but the after the low battery warning, it switched off again.

She knew it was no use taking this, so she plugged her phone on its charger and went downstairs.

By the time she came down she saw Aiden was leaving the house.

“Find your own ride. And make sure you’re at work by 8,” He called out and slammed the door shut on his way out.

Amara cussed him in her mind and saw the time on the wall clock. She had less than 25 minutes.

She quickly cleared the table and placed the dishes in the dishwasher. She knew she’ll be in trouble if she didn’t do it.
