Chapter 12

"Why is a d*mn human here!" shouted a Lizardman at the manager. Lucius, who was the manager, only starred at the lizardman.

"If you have a problem with him, leave and don't come back." he said.

Ash just watched them. Since he came to the capital city, two years had passed. At the moment, he is working as a bartender. The king, even thought he didn't want him to work in a bar, had recommanded him to the owner.

While the lizardman and the manager went on with thier little argument, a fox entered the bar.

"Hey bartender, i want a 'celestial-cherry-cocktail', oh and can you give me that smile?" Ash locked at the fox with a confused expresion.

"Sylvia is not here today, she took a free day." Ash answered, while a little smile appearing on his face. 'Those teens never change.' he thought.

"I know. I wanted to see YOUR smile." the fox muttered.

Ash did hear him and he smiled awkwardly. "Anyway, let me give you what you want." he responded.

A few seconds passed while Ash mixed the cocktail and after he had finished it, he gave it to this little cute fox with a smile.

The fox gasped. 'So cu..., i don't even know what to think. How can he smile so brightly!'

After he had served the fox, he turned somewhere else and listened to a bear, who told him the story how he had ended up as a warrior. Ash listened and nodded at the right moments. After the bear finished, it seemed like a weight was lifted from his shoulders.

Someone ran into the bar. "Which one of you is Ash?!" he yelled. Suprised that the rabitt searched him, Ash was astonished. "That's me." he said and left his position. The rabitt looked at him. He was obviously confused.

'Why should his majesty invite this human at a party in the palace. It's obvious that this guy is neighter a noble, nor an adventurer.'

"His majesty invoted you to a party in the palace, here is your invitation and don't forget to dress properly." said the rabitt and gave Ash the invitation. Then, after a little while, Ash noticed that everyone was quiet. 'They probebly are staring at me. Gosh, can't they just act like they didn't hear it?' A glas fell to the floor.

Ash turned around and looked at the manager, "I think i should go now, it seems like i have to appear at a royal party." said Ash with an apologetic smile. The manager only responded with a nodd.

After he left the bar, Ash went to his appartment. It was a small one, with only a bedroom, a change room, even thought it doesn't have that much clothes, a kitchen and a rest room. Normaly Ash didn't stay inside his appartment for long, but today, he had things to do.

First: Read the invitation

Second: Finde a fitting set of clothes.

This didn't seem to take long, but Ash knew the problem. Reading the invitation didn't take long, it mainly said that the party is going to take place today and he had to be at the palace at sunset. And even thought it was a party, everone had to wear masks. Then Ash had to seek for a set of party clothes. He didn't try on the clothes he already owned, because he knew that they weren't made for a party at the palace. He decided to go shopping and he bought some material. Since he was blessed by the god of design, he could design a set of clothes within minutes. Right after he entered his appartment again, he went to his changeroom and started to designed.

Somewhere in the city, while Ash was designing his set, there were three man standing in a room. All of them wore masks but they still didn't hide the fact that everyone of them was human.

"Good afternoon Mr. Henk and Mr. Done, shall we continue our preperations?" asked one of them. He wore a maske that had carved strange patterns around its eyes. His name was Bastio Smith and the reason why he was here was quite obvious. He and his two companions were suposed to kill the king of this country.

"Since there is a party today, his majesty isn't going to be as much as protected as usually." the man called Mr. Done mentioned.

"You seem to forget the guardians and invitations, if someone without a invitation enters the palace, they well evacuate the kings family without hesitation. We need to find a into the palace without being noticed." said Mr. Henk. Now it was Bastios turn to talk. "I heared the rumor that another human is going to appear at the party, maybe he is here for the same reason as we are." he smiled. "And even if he isn't, we're simply going to steal his invitation." Mr. Done smirked, but Mr. Henk slaped both of them in the face. "Why would a human life in this place? It's quite obvious that he is strong or he simply doesn't like humans. If we are going to steal his invitation, only one of us can infiltrate the palace. Get that idea out of your head. We need another plan, this isn't going to work."

Bastio and Mr. Done realized that Mr. Henk was right. They simply couldn't kill the king in the middle of those Beastman or whatever they were. If they made one wrong move, they would be dead within seconds. "Even if this plan seems to be a good one, you've forgotten something important. These beastman, especialy the adventurer Arkron, have a better nose then humans and i doubt that this human is a stranger to him." said Mr. Henk.

"Then how are we going to get in there?" asked Mr. Done. It was silent while the three of them thought about possible ways to enter the palace.

"How about we go there before the party starts and then we kill him. The only question is, how are we going to remain hidden till the party starts?" Bastio said with a little smile on his face. The other three started to smile as well, it was a good plan and after thinking it through, the palace wasn't guarded that heavily. They only needed to find a way to hide. The disscusion went ahead, and the three hitman started their operation.
