A Little Help Goes a Long Way

The torrential downpours from the afternoon had slowed down to heavy rain by the evening. The dark clouds had shifted and were more of a light grey now as they swirled and moved around.

"Wait, who are these people?" Grey asked after looking at the two new strangers accompanying Jin.

"Oh, they're Mohammad and Nate, two of my closest friends!" Jin explained pointing each one as he said their names, "They're here because I thought that it would be easier for you to understand things if I showed them to you and these guys work as excellent dummies!"

"HEY!" They shouted in unison.

"Oh, thanks guys, it really means a lot to me that you're taking the time out of your day to help me!" Grey said bashfully.

The two looked at each other and let out a breath of relief and smiled. Grey wasn't the type of person they were expecting to meet and they were glad he wasn't, but something still bothered them. "Yeah… No Problem!" The two replied remembering their conversation with Jin earlier where he had told them Grey's situation along with his own.

(Though, we're only here to figure out why this idiot's doing this…) The two thought to themselves as they turned to look at Jin who placed his backpack along a pillar.

After coming back Jin began his crash course on body language again, this time focusing on the shoulders and micro expressions, using Nate and Mohammad whenever he could. After explaining how one can see whether someone is truly paying attention to them by seeing where the shoulder's are facing and that everyone has split second micro reactions that show their true feelings he saw that Grey was understanding everything a lot better than last time. After an hour and a half of this they stopped. Jin was satisfied by the amount of information that was well received by Grey.

"Alright, now it's up to you to practice this, tomorrow we'll talk about pacifying behaviors and hands!" Jin finished up the session.

Grey thanked them all and then headed back towards the football lockers to grab his belongings.

Jin watched him run through the far hallway that he had come out of. "Honestly... I didn't think this would go this well." Jin said after Grey left.

Nate walked next to Jin, joining him in watching Grey. "What do you mean? Grey's pretty smart!" Nate commented.

Jin twitched and winced after hearing that.

He turned to Mohammad and Nate. "Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate it, I mean it!" Jin said, lowering his head a little.

Nate grabbed the top of his head. "Oi! Don't just go talking like we're strangers after all this time!" Nate shouted angrily.

Mohammad walked up to Jin. "But the real question is why are you helping the girl you like get into a relationship with another guy?" Mohammad asked.

"Well, of course it's because she-" Jin was cut off by Nate.

"It's not because of any potential rumor, because you don't care about the public opinion of you, that's why you ask all these weird questions!" Nate said.

Jin let out a slow sigh, as if his secret had been exposed. "It's to help Grey… man's got girls crawling all over him but they're all terrible people who would leave him in a moment's notice… that's why his relationships don't last long… but he doesn't realize it yet so I'm teaching him how to detect whether someone truly likes him or not, because the body never lies." Jin said looking at the ceiling, "And I think Chandler is a good fit for him, she'll keep him in line while he'll prevent the gossipy side of her coming out..."

"Is that really your reason?" Mohammad asked, there was a serious look on his face.

Jin stared at him for a little bit before answering. "Yeah… though I'll be honest, my chest hurts a lot everytime I see Chandler now!" Jin said with a faint smile.

Nate relaxed a little bit."That's what you call a broken heart pal..." Nate said gently as he put his hand on Jin's shoulder.

The three guys stood together in silence for a few moments. Jin clenched his teeth, preventing any emotion from escaping him as Mohammad and Nate gently patted his shoulder, letting him know they were there for him.

"I have a favor to ask you guys, don't tell anyone about this… I want to keep this a secret." Jin finally asked.

The two looked hesitant, looking at each other multiple times before giving a small nod in agreement.
