Immora

The last way to get the cure for Jason was to travel to a realm called "Immora" where they would get a flower called the "Wonder Flower".

"Immora" was a realm that was exactly like earth; at least 500 years ago. The only difference was that, Immora didn't have supernaturals at first. The humans there were the same as the humans that were on earth. They did everything humans did but lived a little bit more peaceful than humans on earth. But like every good thing, the peace had to end.

500 years, mysterious portals opened everywhere and wraiths – supernatural undead creatures that are created when necromancers witches fail at trying to prolong their lifespan or fail to raise the dead – poured out of them like flies to shit. The wraiths are creature with a lot of anger and resentment. They brutally killed any living thing they saw with their super sharp and deadly claws.

More than seventy percent of the humans were killed, leaving the rest to retreat and live in "Sanctuaries" behind massive wall. Ever since humans started living in sanctuaries, every year, an event would happen. On the twentieth day of the seventh month, a wave of energy would roam around the whole realm, turning thirty percent of the remaining humans into different supernatural creatures. The event was named "The Turning". But it still wasn't enough to fight off the wraiths.

Along with "the turning", mysterious flowers would grow in specific places, completely isolated from the humans and even supernaturals. The mysterious flowers were called, "The Wonder Flower". The wonder flowers would die and be replaced by a different one during every event of the turning.

To anyone that has encountered the flower before, it was a very powerful herb that could cure every known disease and illnesses and could even heal a person on their death beds. The flower would even enhance the people it cured. Another wonderful thing about the wonder flower was that it could also repel the wraiths.

After explaining everything to the kids, Charles wanted to show them something. He lead everyone to the basement where he taught Bryce, Kevin and Daniel magic. Jason, Cashel and Kyra who had never been there before looked around, observing.

Charles walked towards one of the shelves which was fully stacked. He went through the shelves as if he was looking for a particular book which he easily found because it was the odd one out of all the stacked on that particulars shelf. Charles slightly pulled the book and in turn, the shelf let out a grumbling sound as it slowly shifted to the side, revealing a secret room.

Bryce's was surprised. He'd been coming in here frequently, ever since he and his brothers came here a few week ago and didn't know that there was a secret room. The three other teenagers were also surprised.

"Cool!", Carter explained.

The room was actually an armoury. On the walls were several row of perfectly arranged long swords, short swords, Katanas, knives, daggers, bows and arrows and even crossbows and wooden stakes and etcetera. Some of the weapons seemed to be made of a metal that Bryce didn't know of. Looking at them, the weapons seemed to be made out of charcoal but touching one, it didn't feel like he was touching charcoal but metal instead.

Apart from those, there were also four glass shelves which contained several kinds of fire arms and guns like riffles, pistols, shotguns, revolver, carbine etc and many kinds and sizes of bullets. Apart from the normal bullets, there were also wooden bullets, silver bullets and other special bullets suitable for hunting various Supernatural creatures.

Seeing this, the kids opened their eyes and mouth as they tried to take in the view. They didn't know whether to feel amazed or frightened when they were surrounded by so many lethal weapons.

"Woah!", Cashel exclaimed.

"This is sick", Jason said.

"Yeah! Cool right?", Charles said with a smile.

"Do you even use any of these?", Kyra asked.

"Well, not all of them are mine. I only own the firearms", Charles said. He only collected them for fun. You know? Rich people stuff.

"Then who owns the rest?", Carter asked.

"The blades are mine. Most of them belonged your grandfather, Luis De León. Then, they were passed down to me. I also bought some myself", Ivan said. He couldn't keep all these weapons since he didn't have a cool hidden room in his villa like this one.

"Huh!", Carter said.

Carter was actually not surprised. He had found out that his dead grandfather and many of his ancestors had these supernatural powers that they used to hunt down and kill supernatural creatures which was passed down to his father and then onto him. Finding out that his father owns a room full of weapons wasn't really a surprise.

"The crossbows, bows and arrows are also mine", Wilson added.

"Why would you need them?", Jason asked his uncle.

"I'm a hunter", Wilson answered as if answering the most obvious question.

"Okay! Grab your weapons and let's get going", Charles said.

Ivan and Wilson started stuffing themselves with weapons. Ivan chose two black short swords and hid some daggers under the sleeves if his jacket and in his boots. Wilson took a crossbow and quiver full of black tipped arrows. They seemed to be made out of the same metal as some of Ivan's weapons. He also picked some daggers and hid them like Ivan.

After they were done, Charles made Bryce open a portal to Immora. He could have casted the spell to open the portal himself but he wanted to preserve his magic. They might need every but of it in Immora.

The spell was similar to the one Janet used to open a portal to the Mandrake Realm so Bryce was a bit familiar with it.

Bryce closed his eyes and when he reopened them, they were glowing bright blue as he was channelling the gem's magic power. Charles wasn't surprised since Bryce had already told him about it. But Bryce didn't tell Charles that he actually died last night and was brought back by the gem.

"𝑎𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑡𝑎 𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑜 𝑖𝑚𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑎"

Bryce casted the spell once without needing to repeat it like Janet did and immediately a bright light spread through the whole room, making everyone cover their eyes. When they reopened them, the light was gone and there was only a portal left behind. The portal looked like swirling lights.

"Ooh! I almost forgot something", Charles said as he went to one of the shelces and soon came back with a small wooden box with golden accents on it in his hands.

He opened it in front of Jason and said, "Choose one!".

Jason looked inside the box and saw that it contained a number of jewelleries. There was an expensive looking watch, five necklaces and five rings; they all looked expensive. Aside from that, all of them had a small blue stone in them.

Jason picked a ring of his choice.

"Excellent!", Charles said as he took the ring back from Jason. He handed it to Bryce along with the box.

"You see those blue stones?", Charles said.

Bryce looked at the dark blue stones and nodded.

Charles continued, "They are called lapis lazuli or for short, lapis. They are semi-precious stone that can be used to make jewelleries and ornaments. But for a witch from a long and powerful bloodline like us, it is known for being the key material for making a daylight ornaments which could let a vampire walk freely during the day when enhanced by magic".

The eyes Bryce, Jason, Carter and the twins went wide when they heard the latter part of Charles' words. Daywalking vampires were a possibility? The kids were astounded when they heard this.

"You'll probably find a page in one of the grimoires and then you're gonna make a daylight ring for Jason. That's the task for you", Charles said.

Jason's brows furrowed as he thought of something. When he saw, Alvin, his brother, at the school yesterday, he didn't seem to be avoiding the sun. Did he perhaps have a daylight ornament? The answer was actually yes. Charles had personally made a daylight ornament for Alvin some time ago.

"Okay, let's go", Charles said as he walked through the portal without hesitation. Wilson and Ivan followed him. The kids watched as the three disappeared.

"Okay, let's go back upstairs", Bryce said. He wanted to start with the daylight ornaments.

The others started to leave but Carter started to check out the different kind of blades on the wall. He looked around and his eyes landed on one particular short sword. It was 30 inches long with four edges instead of two. It looked like two blades put together in an X style and had one pointed tip. The sword was completely black in colour like some of the other weapons made from an unknown metal ore.

The longer Carter looked at the short sword, the more he felt drawn to it. He slowly walked towards the short sword and slowly raised his hand to touch it and felt it on his fingertips. He held onto it and took it from the wall.

"You good?", Cashel asked. He came back when he noticed that Carter had stayed behind. Surprised, Carter jumped slightly, dropping the short sword. The sword fell to the ground with a clank.

"...yeah", Carter answered. He had been too focused on the short sword that he was surprised by Cashel's voice.

"You sure?", Cashel asked again just to be sure.

"Yeah" Carter answered.

"Then let's go", Cashel said. Carter picked up the short sword and smile. It was going to be his from now on. He had taken a liking to it.

He placed it back on the wall and walked towards Cashel. As he was walking towards Cashel, he suddenly felt a chill down his spine and stopped.

"Dude! What's wrong?", Cashel asked. He was about to leave when he saw Carter stop.

"Nothing. I just suddenly felt cold for a second", Carter said. He didn't think much of it and neither did Cashel.
