Making preparations

While Abem was sleeping, three diffrent groups were observing him!

Garret arrived first. He was waiting for both Chosen of Sky Fall to come, as he knew that if he killed one the other would flee thanks to someone Spirit Net message from the Elders. He had to make sure that both of them were in the same place! And historicaly there was always a confilct about who had the right to fight the trial most powerful Beast, as it gave the best reward!

His group wasnt there. In fact, they were all already dead! Two days ago, there was huge confilct between Core disciples of the Sect. More than 10 of them gathered in one place with their groups on both sides and fought over spiritual weapon, that was one of the main prizes in this trial. He was unlucky to be swept in and as he had to pretend to be weak, he simply made some moves and then left!

This fight was a bloodbath, but only for the cannon food the Core disciples took, they didnt suffer much as only 2 of them died and 1 was crippled! It wasnt much, as nearly all the other disciples died. Sky Fall was the winner in the end, so his group wasnt lucky to escape as he was their main target! After all, with his status as a Chosen his threat was supposed to be really high... Yet he showed only a normal power cultivator of his rank could have which was far from enough to match most of the Core disciples...

Another one was Aran. He and his group were preparing an ambush in the possible escape places of the Chosen. But so far they could see only Lin Ke, Lili Scarletblood wasnt anywhere close to be seen.

As for Lin Ke group, while MaoMao was a decent scout she had no way to find out either of them. Even Aran group was made out of stealth experts! So as far as they aware, they made it first to this place.

"Its at the same good and bad for us to be first" Lin Ke frowned again.

"While it gives us an advantage, if someone will show during the battle... Then we would be in a really bad spot. They would just attack us after the battle and steal the reward!" They had to present the Wolf core to get the reward! It was made it way so robbing and stealing between trial takers was common tactic. It was one thing to beat another Chosen after battling this stupid wolf, as their strenght would be consumed by a lot!

"Senior Sister Lin, we should do as planned and wait for miss Scarletblood to show up first..." Mai Linh made a remark. They agreed to wait for the other chosen and make a deal with her, before taking this battle. As otherwise they could be easly ambushed by 3 sides!

"Mhmmm, lets do it then. Luo, Mao and Long. Your three will be resposible for the watch now" After saying so, she choose a quiet spot under tree shade and started meditating to adjust her state to the peak. Looking at her, those who didnt have to stay on the watch followed her action.

Only Ren was diffrent! He didnt have to fight, to him medidation to adjust his Qi, blood. physical and spiritual energies was useless as his combat power would be stronger by no more than few % which in turn wouldnt make any diffrence. Upon reaching this conculsion, he took out his jade containing information about Mountain Wolf and started studying it in case, something he forgot may be useful.

Still far away Lili Scarletblood and her group were making slowly their way to the other three Chosen as well! After her vision she was injured and it wasnt anything light. Only just the day before thanks to all the medicine she consumed and the rest she had her spiritual energies settled down. That was mostly the reason why she wasnt there yet, she had to rest a lot each day and meditate to slowly recover.

While she still had mixed feelings about that night 'dream' it was pointless to think about it. She didnt really learn anything useful and didnt know who that man was either. Whats more, if in the dream 'she' was herself in the future, it means that she survived this trial and there was no point worrying much. It was just a feeling, more like instinct, but she was sure that the body she taken over was her own. Thats what let her calm down, even though her feelings of uneasy and danger were still present!

The closer she got to the supposed place that Mountain Wolf was residing, the stronger her senses were screaming of danger! Yet these feelings were being supressed by the certanity that she lived through this trial so she still decided to go there. The other reason for her to go there being that, she was curious about whats this all about! She was still a very young maiden that didnt really expierence any danger at all. It made her feel like she was a young hero that was about to start the adventure!
