CHAPTER IV “ I’M NOT HER, TRUTH AND LIES “

Nyx’s P.O.V.

Lolita suddenly came home walking towards her room without even looking at us and making me more curious about what happened to her so instead of following her I headed back to our father to know everything if ever he tells me everything.

When I arrive father is talking to the palace wizard so instead of showing I listen to their conversation first, I know it’s inappropriate to listen to others' conversation but if it’s the only way to know then so be it.

“You need to help me with my daughter, your magic has already worn out and it can be super dangerous if it fully vanish“ Father said to the wizard who kept turning pages of the book.

“My lord, how is it possible to vanish at this time? It's too early, I'm afraid I can't do it. I can put the spell back when the old magic disappears, my Lord" The wizard said, making my father slump down to his throne, rubbing his temples.

I decided to finally show up and pretend I didn't hear anything.

"Father" I called, making them startled and make the wizard leave and ask me to follow him to the terrace.

"How's your sister?" He asked while walking.

"As soon as she arrives I immediately go here but I'll check her when I arrive back and also Luca's there to watch her" I said and he just nodded.

"I will tell you about something because I'm afraid your sister might be in danger" I decided not to speak and let father continue what's gonna say.

"Your sister was cursed the moment she's born making her dangerous, at that time her powers hasn't fully developed that's why me and your mother tried to train her but it won't work, when she turn 10 her powers got stronger and more dangerous so I decide to separate you and your mother from us sending you to the human world as soon as possible" That was when I'm 14 I didn't know the whole reason on why we leave but we did without bidding goodbye to Lolita.

"When she turns 12 she goes rampage destroying everything so we need to lock her powers completely making me called the strongest wizard in our realm and until now her power is locked“ So why is he worried if it’s locked?

“What does it mean father? Are her eyes turning pink as a part of it?“ I asked and he faced me.

“Your sister’s curse makes her uncontrollable and it include her eyes being peculiar, she may have the demon’s eyes but as soon as her power is unlocked her eyes would turn into different hue and I think that would be what happen now, in short, her power is coming out but the thing is it’s too early for the spell to break apart that’s why we need to found out why, if someone’s doing it or your sister’s subconscious is doing it to be free“ That’s why I felt different when I tried to calm her down, it doesn’t feel like my sister.

“What are we going to do? If her powers fully come out we won’t be able to control her if you're that worried “He stays silent thinking of what to do.

“If I find a solution I’ll call you over here the faster the better so in the meantime take good care of her if possible train her as I do to you and if she loses control do what you did if it didn’t work I’m afraid she can get hurt“ He said while I listen and nodded at what he said.

“I wouldn’t let her get hurt or let her lose control. I'll ask for help with the others“ I said bowing before leaving.

“But don’t let them know the whole truth we can’t risk your sister’s life“ I recall before I leave and as I arrive at our dorm I called them immediately to let them know and told some white lies.

“Did you find out what happened?“ Luca said as he sat down beside Adam.

“First please promise me no one of you would let this information out, I won’t hold back if you do” They nod slowly.

“My sister’s power is locked because it’s too dangerous as my father said but I don’t know fully why, but what I want to ask you is to help me train her so if her powers show she could control it. And also I need one of us to always stay with her so if she loses control someone would stop her from getting violent, I’m saying this because I trust the four of you. I know you're capable of overpowering her if ever, can you help me?“ I asked, I waited for them to speak but they seemed to be in doubt of what would happen.

“We'll talk for a while if it's alright with you, Nyx?" I nod and leave them for a while and head towards Lolita's room.

Lolita's P.O.V.

I woke up feeling someone was watching me. I open my eyes slowly and stare in the direction where I felt something and I saw my brother sitting on the couch in my room.

"What are you doing here?" I asked slowly, getting up to sit.

"I already know what happen" So father told him all of it, now I felt bad.

"Father said you we're cursed since you were born" He tells me everything our father told him and surprisingly it's different from mine, why did father lie to him? Or is it also the truth he never told me?.

"I asked a favor of mine to help me guide you so you can control your powers" He said standing up from the couch and heading towards me.

"Why? I can do it by myself or with you but why ask them? I don't want to be a burden to anyone" He said sitting beside me hugging me by my shoulders.

"Lolita, I may not grow up with you or have a strong bond with you, or I may be cold sometimes but I want to protect you from everyone who wants to hurt you" If you would know the truth you would hate me and I wouldn't be able to take it.

We were talking when someone knocked on the door.

"It's me Hendrix and Aden can we come in?" He asked, and my brother stood up and opened the door for them.

"We already decided to help, if it means protecting her" Hendrix said to my brother but he was looking straight at me, making me shift from my position.

"But we can't assure that our help would make something different, I mean you're both a demon and some things are different from your system than us but we'll try our best" He continued to say and my brother sigh in relief.

"Can I accompany her later on at the academy?" Aden suddenly asked and I just nodded, smiling a little so as not to seem rude.

"Alright, I'll see you at the gates later" He said before skipping away, he was a bit adorable for a vampire.

"Right we have to attend the academy later I almost forgot, See you later sis" Nyx came out dragging Hendrix with him.

"Academy? School? Is there any difference?" I mumbled as I lay on my bed again when a book fell from my bookshelf.

I pick it up placing it back where it came and suppose to walk back to my bed when another one falls then again another one and I keep putting it back and to my annoyance, I stop putting it back until there's nothing left. I walk closer to see if there's something wrong with the bookshelf and when I did it was nothing.

I sigh already feeling tired so I decide to let it go when something falls on my head and when I look up there's a tiny goblin playing with my hair. I get it out of my head then put the goblin on my bed.

"Hey tiny one, why are you here?" I said as the goblin held my finger that I used to poke its belly making it giggle.

"I fell from a hole then landed here in your room" The goblin said in a female voice and continued to hold my fingers with her hands.

"I'll keep you for now but if your parents find you, you'll go alright tiny one" I said and continued to tickle her and for the first time this day, I smiled widely.

After some time I prepare myself and wore my uniform which I find perfectly fine as it doesn't show much skin and it's not too bright, I decided to tie my hair in a ponytail, after checking if everything is done I get my things and was about to go when Loli the goblin held my legs.

"I want to go with you please" She looked at me, looking like she's about to cry so I couldn't do anything, and just carry her down the hall to the dining room to see everyone already eating.

"Hi Lolita, come sit and eat" Luca greeted me with a smile and I just nodded heading towards the Nyx side and sat putting Loli on the table.

"Oh, what do we have here" Adam suddenly said, making Loli grip my sleeve.

"It's a goblin that suddenly appears in my room and also her name is Loli" I said, getting some food for her.

"You name her great, Hi Loli I'm Aden" Aden said warmly that making Loli smile and walk towards Aden.

"Look, Adam, she likes me, not you" Aden said, giggling a bit as Loli climbed on his hand to his shoulder.

We continue to eat while Aden plays with Loli. After eating we head out and walk as the dorm is inside the academy.

After arriving at the gate we split direction but Aden stays to help me around the Academy while Loli's eyes sparkle from excitement.

"Hey have you got your schedule ready?" I nod so he asks for it and scans it.

"Cool we get to have classes together and also Loli" He said, grabbing Loli away from me and walking faster but I don't mind as I can keep up.

When we arrive at our class it's like in the human world a little introduction and then done and I'm glad they allowed Loli to be in the class as long as she isn't trouble and I would make sure of that.

As the class goes by, switching class to another but it's too different from the human world, nothing about what in the human world teaches here, it's too different from the activities to the lesson and the class time as it's at night.

When the class finished I decided to go back to the dorm while Aden said he'll go somewhere. I headed towards my room putting Loli on the bed as she fell asleep while I'm in class. I change into my sleepwear and then lay carefully not to squish Loli.

"I don't know what to believe anymore" I said looking at the ceiling and slowly slumber hugged me.
