CHAPTER TWELVE: HYOKIN LANCASTER

I passed the training room and I saw a Lancaster sitting there like he already lost everything. This man is really strong but for those old jerks, this one is just nothing and has no value for them so they are ready to dispose of him. Pweh, I’m used to it though. They’re really the one who acts dirty in the clan. Compared to the Lancaster clan, this man does not yet have the strength to defend himself. He also came out of the clan’s territory and went here instead of the clan’s owned university. It means that he was not in their palm, which also added to the reason why they wanted him dead.

I just walked past the training room and stopped when I felt something.

“They’re here again,” I said to myself.

I went back to the training room where I saw Hyokin. I know he is the one that those old jerks want. Just because they can’t use me then they are going to punish those they can punish. They can’t do something to me because, in fact, I have a higher status than them. Apart from me and Hyokin, there is no one in our kin who’s studying outside the clan’s university. Most of them are in Lancaster University also known as L.U.

The training at the Lancaster University is much harder than in this academy. The teaching here is much more friendly than at the L.U.

“Hey,” I called Hyokin and leaned against the wall. He looked at me and his eyes were lifeless. Is this man ready to die? “They’re going to kill you and you won't even give them a hard time?” I asked him and then I raised my right eyebrow.

I saw that his fist clenched for a while before looking at me and then he bowed at me. I could feel his anger for no apparent reason. I can’t blame him because it is not his fault and, in this situation, he can just blame those in a higher position.

“What do you know? You don’t even care about the people around you. You only care for yourself.” He said and I was stunned for a moment. Still, he’s right.

I really just have to think of myself and I have no intention of being on good terms with everyone here.

“I may not care for everyone one but I am not stupid. You’re the real stupid one.” I said and he looked at me with madness in his eyes. “What? I’m just telling the truth. You’re stupid. You can’t even think of how to defend yourself against the Elders of our clan and just wait for them to do the honor to execute you.”

I would want to console him and comfort him but this damn mouth of mine does not want to cooperate with me. So, in the end, I say too many hurtful words to him.

“What do you know?! I’m not like you! I am not like you that can disobey their orders, I am not you! They are too strong for me! I’m weak like what you said, right?!” he shouted angrily. I adjust my position and walked towards him.

When I am already in front of him, I immediately slapped him and he looked at me in surprise. Still, I did not give him a single emotion. He had to wake up to his dream and that is the reason why I slapped him. That is what he needs right now.

“Pathetic loss. Not because you are in the lower part of the family hierarchy meaning that you can belittle yourself. Whatever you do, whatever you want, it still matters. You still have your taika with you. You are still a Lancaster and not an ordinary person in this world. What do you think of me? Do you think that I am not afraid of those old jerks? Of course, I am, but I won’t let them control me. That is the reason why I can fight with them.” I told him without any emotion and I immediately kicked his left side and he blocked it and throw him some dagger and he dodges it. “If you want to live then go with the flow. Don’t disappoint me now, Hyokin.” I said to him.

I punched him very quickly after I gave him a quick kicked and he’s so flexible. He immediately able to blocked and fight with me. But he just got too many kicks and punch from me. Although in a short time I can feel his improvements, that was a quick one. I was ready to release some low-type taika when we immediately looked at the person who blew up the door.

Here they are.

“What do you want?” I said rudely and they just looked at me in surprise but then they looked at Hyokin, the low-level Lancaster.

“Get him.” Elder Uno ordered but I immediately blocked the knight that old jerk Uno ordered with my taika.

They did not have the ability to hit me so the knight who was just following the order immediately stopped.

“Don’t interfere in this mess, Abia. We allowed you to do whatever you want, we did not force you to come with us, but we will not allow you to defend that loser.” Said Elder Dos so my brow furrowed.

“He was not a good influence on the Lancaster young generation. He was a loser and a traitor!” Elder Tres exclaimed and looked at Hyokin.

A traitor? As if, he just wants to get the hell away from your grasp. That is why he is struggling. I guess I have no choice.

I crossed my arms and said, “What are you going to do with him?” I lazily said and I saw the annoyance on the knight’s face. Maybe because I had no respect for the person he respected the most. One of the knights was about to stab me from the back but before he points his weapon at me my sword is already in his neck. “Don’t you dare, mister? If you still love your life then behave. If not, I can end your life right here, right now.” I threaten him and I guess it’s effective. “I ask you again, three Elders. What will you do if you get him? I want an honest answer, don’t ever lie to me.” I said with a smirk on my face.

“Kill.” The three of them answered in unison.

As expected, they won’t let him get away from their grasp.

“Really?” I give them a sinister smile, “For what reason, then?” I asked once again.

“You don’t need to know and you have no rights to get involved in this mess.” Elder Tres said.

He really had guts on his sleeves eh.

“Then I guess I won’t give him to you,” I said and stand firm on my spot. “You have to leave this place now before anything will happen to you all,” I said with a wicked smile on my face.

They seem to flinched and afraid for a moment but it was gone that it makes anyone not notice it. they seem to master the art of hiding the emotion. They’re not as good as me though.

“What?” Elder Dos said with an annoying voice.

“Do I have to repeat myself, Elder Dos?” and I let them feel my aura and it suppresses their aura and by that, it makes them weak, “Killing him without a proper trial? Do you think that you can do that? Do you not see me in your eyes? Am I nothing to the three of you? Not because you’re an Elder of the clan then you have the right to decide who shall live and who shall die. It’s my work to decide who shall live and who shall die, I may not in the clan now but still, it’s my work. Now, you’re weaker than me, shall I give you three a death sentence?” and I gave them a very heavy pressure.

This is an advantage of being part of a powerful family, you can oppress those you hate.

“Why are you doing this?” Elder Uno asked with the difficulty of breathing.

“What I said is, planning to kill my student is like insulting me. Do you three not want to live more? I can count your days from this moment. When you want to harm this person, you have to go through me.” I said firmly with elegance and knowledge.

I felt that Hyokin looked at my side and since I am not looking at him, I can’t see his expression, but those Elders? I wanted to laugh so hard when I saw their surprised expression and I even wanted to tease them more but I feel like I have to go now. I chuckled though.

When they heard me chuckled, they looked at me like they wanted to kill me, and anytime soon they will jump right in front of me and take my heart away from me. too bad they can’t even lay their hands on the strand of my hair.

“Student?” A question from one of the knights.

“Yep, student. Now, leave this place. You’re disturbing my lesson.” I coldly said and continued, “Shall I kill you all for disobeying me?” I added and they flinched. “Go and leave this place and never come back. You are all not welcome here; this is not a Lancaster territory to do something that against the rule. You know, once you broke one of the rules here you may not be able to go back to the Lancaster territory, worst, you may not be able to see the sunrise tomorrow.” I said and even though they still want to lay their hands on Hyokin they did not do it rashly.

First of all, I was there. Secondly, they have no chance of getting passed through me. Third, they will just lose their life if they did jump in front of me trying to lay their hands on Hyokin.

I sighed when they left and looked at the man behind me- it was Hyokin. I saw hem that he is nearly crying and his eyes were shining in tears and it shock the hell out of me. What the hell? He immediately bends on his knees and thank me then he suddenly swore his loyalty to me. I scratched my head at the sudden event that happed and then sighs, I can’t do something about this. He already swore his loyalty to me, meaning, he won’t be able to betray me no matter what he does. It’s my first-time encounter this and it feels so good.

“Tomorrow morning, I want to see you running in the oval field. One hundred laps are enough for the foundation on the first day of your training.” I said and his eyes widened for what I just said. “You want me to teach you right?” and then he nodded his head, “Then obey me. No matter what I ask you to do, do it right. No complain.” I added to him and then spoke again, “And one more thing.” He then looked at me seriously, “I don’t want to teach the others so I want you to stay quiet about this setup. I will only teach you. You and only you and no one else. When I found out that you told them that I am giving you training pointers and guide then don’t blame me for not giving you the mercy that you wanted to.” I threatened said and then he nodded his head. Even though he’s happy I still can see the guilt in his eyes.

“Why?” I looked at him when he suddenly asked why. “Why did you change so much? Why are you like that?” he added.

I was stunned but then recovered quickly, “They changed me, Hyokin.” I told them and then went to the nearest window and looked at the scenery outside, “They tortured and killed the old me and that is why I became like this. Don’t expect me to go back to the old me,” and I turned my back on him. “It’s impossible.” And walks away. Before I left, I said, “By the way, I may not be able to remember you now but it seems like you cared a lot about me in my dreams and that is way younger than we are now. I guess we have that kind of friendship before.”

Friend? Ew! Why did I call him a friend? Do I still consider him as my friend after what happened in the past?

“Then why you don’t want to train the others?” he asked again.

“Why do you have so many questions?”

“Just answer if you want to,”

I looked at him and then think of an answer. Why? Because I don’t want to? Or maybe because they’re weak?

“Because I don’t want to. They don’t deserve it and also, I hate them. Is my reason valid?” I said with a bored expression on my face.

“Why?”

“Because they ruin the class S. Class S should be a group of powerful students, the top among the top. But your group? It is the opposite.” And then I looked at him. “One hundred laps tomorrow in the oval field, don’t forget that. After that please do at least five hundred push up.”

“What?!” He exclaimed, “Are you going to kill me?”

“You want to be strong, right? Then he nods. “Then do what I just said.” And he still looks not convince. “Any problem?” I asked with my right eyebrow raised and then he immediately shook his head.

“No, no. No problem at all.”

I ignored him and then left the training room. When I went downstairs, I saw many students gathered and when they saw me, they came to an idea that I am the reason why the Elders of the clan left without Hyokin’s head. They give me away and then watched me leaving the vicinity.

The Elders looked at me like I am an ant so I did the same to them. I looked at them like they’re the dirtiest person in this world. I will not lose to this kind of people. My family fought for freedom and they just killed them. My mother, my dad, my grandparents, and my brother. They will soon get the medicine they made. They just have to wait for it.
