It Starts With Just A Spark

Silence never felt as heavy and awkward as it did now as I await his reply. My eyes were downcast in worry as I stared at my clenched fists which knotted in my pants.

As Orion shifted his position and hugged his knees on the sofa, my eyes inevitably followed. I had thought he was merely trying to get comfortable on his seat, but before I noticed, his eyes were already on me.

"Heh, why do you look so troubled?" He smirks as he presses his index finger against the space between my furrowed brows.

"Uh… N-no, I don't." I lied through my teeth as I swallowed the nervous lump forming in my throat.

"I've spent more than enough time with you to say I can see right through you easily. But it's unlikely my reason is similar to whatever it is that's on your mind." He smiles and rests his arm on the back of the sofa while staring at me.
