CHAPTER 22

Y/N

I checked my phone the next day, he didn't read my messages. I decided last night not to call him because I didn't want to bother him, maybe he was actually mad, but I couldn't find the 'why'.

I checked my phone one last time before I went to the café with Jungkook and Hoseok. I would have told Taehyung to come with us, too, but he didn't know I liked Seokjin more than friends, I didn't know how to tell him, even though he's my best friend. He was always so protective over me when we were little, even though we didn't see each other in person so much. On the other hand, Ashley is busy today, she went with her family to the beach.

I entered the café, they were sitting at a round table, away from the few clients.

"Good morning flower." Hoseok said, when I sat up next to them.

"How did you sleep?" Jungkook asked me.

"Horrible." I said. "I spent all night thinking about him, maybe I'm exaggerating about all this situation?" I asked, leaning my head towards the table. Hoseok caressed my hair.

"I tried to talk to him when I woke up, but he said he was okay." Jungkook explained.

I raised my head quickly. "You asked him about me?" I said, alarmed.

"More or less. I asked him if he's having problems and he said no. But he was busy because today he's going to the cinema with S-" He couldn't finish because Hoseok hit his arm.

"He's going where?" I asked, curious.

"Nothing sweetheart. What do you want to drink?" Hoseok asked me, smiling. I gave him a death stare before answering, I thought I could talk about it later.

***

We had just finished our drinks when I asked it again.

"It's not important, Y/n-ah." Jungkook said.

"If it's about him going out with that bottle blonde again, I-." I didn't finish, I let out a sigh, in frustration. It was frustrating me so much the way Jin was acting with me. He always wanted to talk and now he was ignoring me, as if I was a wall. "Can you please tell me what's going on?"

"Well," Jungkook started. "He's going to the cinema with her, they both love the film so they decided the other day to go and watch it together."

I sighed, again. "I don't understand. Let's say they like each other, what it has to do with me? Nothing!" I said, frustrated. "Jin is not the type of person to put the 'crush' in the first place, before a friend, a good friend, is it?" I asked.

"No, I don't think so." Jungkook said. "Besides, one moth ago, they didn't know each other, it can't happen that quickly."

"Less if it's Jin-hyung." Hoseok added.

"Then, what's wrong with him?" I asked, holding my head with my hands.

"I don't know flower, but will figure out what to do." Hoseok said, hoping for the best. I really appreciated him.

"Wait." A smile was appearing on my face. "I've an idea. A great one." I said, smirking.

***

"This is your great idea? Follow them to the cinema?" Jungkook asked me, in disbelieve.

"I need to know what's going on." I said, watching as they bought the tickets.

"You see Y/n-ah, I'm not the stalker guy type." Hoseok said. He was feeling uncomfortable, I could tell that.

"Please, just this time. Besides, we're all friends, right? We're not following a stranger." I said, trying to convince them.

"Okay, come on." Hoseok said.

We walked towards the girl. "Hello, can you give me three tickets for the same film the couple asked for?" I said, putting my angel smile.

"Yes, but you know each other?" She asked me, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, we're his friends. Actually, we're here to support him. It's his first date and he likes that girl a lot, he's scared he's going to do something wrong, so we're here to make sure everything will end well for them." I said, trying to put my best smile. It really hurt me, though.

She chuckled before giving us our tickets. We walk away, before Jungkook grabbed my waist. "'It's his first date, he's scared, he needs our help'. Really?" He asked me, looking me in disbelieve, again.

"Hey, it was the first thing that came up to my mind. Next time put you the excuse." I said, before crossing my arms, turning my body around, so he could talk with my back.

"Hey, don't get mad." He said cutely, hugging me from behind.

We went to the guy who was in charge to sell popcorn and other type of foods, like drinks. We all bought popcorn, a few minutes later we entered to the room.

We were sitting two rows behind them, but their seats were in front of ours. That man really believed my lie. I lost energies when I realized it was a romance.

"At least they aren't sharing popcorn." I whispered to myself. I noticed Jungkook and Hoseok looked at me, but they said nothing.

I had to say that the film was really interesting, for a moment I forgot why I was there, but Jungkook patting my leg poked the little fluffy cloud I had in my mind.

"Okay, don't freak out, but look at them." Jungkook said, pointing our victims. I let out a deaf gasp when I saw Samantha with her head laid on Seokjin's shoulder.

"How could she?" I whispered, in disbelieve.

"I don't know." Jungkook said. I looked at him, I hit his arm afterward. He pouted at me, making me laugh a little.

Suddenly I felt a heavy thing pressuring my body, I supposed Jungkook too, because he was trying to pull it off. Oh, after a few seconds, we saw that it was just Hoseok.

"Why did you do that? You're kinda heavy hyung." Jungkook asked. "I know the film is boring, but-." I cut him.

"Hey, it's not boring." Jungkook gave me a look.

"Guys, focus." Hoseok whispered. "Seokjin looked up here because of your laugh Y/n, he almost sees us. Behave yourself if you don't want to get caught." Jungkook and I only nodded as an answer. Hobba could be scary if he wanted to.

"Wait." I said, my eyes lighting up. "He recognized my laugh?" I said, happier than what I should have to be.

I spent the rest of the film daydreaming about Seokjin, I really felt something for him.

After the film, we wait until everyone left before we left as well. We saw Seokjin saying goodbye to Samantha. They were laughing, I thought Seokjin had a great time with her, I was feeling bad for what I had done. But for some reason, when I thought Samantha have already left, he got in the taxi as well.

"I guess they will eat dinner together." Hoseok said.

"We could do that, too. Or we can try to find the restaurant and go there, too. Righ Y/n?" I shook my head.

"No, don't worry Kookie, it doesn't matter anymore. I'm sorry I drag you into this. I'll just try to talk to him by calling or texting him. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it." I said. I started walking home, missing Seokjin, whishing I was her.

***

I called Seokjin already three times and he wasn't answering. I sent him more messages, that of course he wasn't replying either. I was getting tired of it.

I decided I would talk to him after lunch.

When I was in front of the door, I felt terrified. What if he screamed at me? Or he was mad? I didn't want to argue with him. I was feeling sick only with the thought of it.

"Hey there, why are you staring at the door as if it was me?" It was Yoongi.

"Ha, ha, you're so funny." I said, not bothering to look back.

"You're moody today, what's wrong?" He asked, opening the door.

"Nothing, I just needed to talk to him." I said, sighing. I was feeling scared. What if he told me he loves Samantha? It would hurt as much as I thought it would be?

"Him?" Yoongi asked.

"Huh?" I asked, I was lost in my thoughts as always.

Seconds later, I heard Jin's voice upstairs, I mumbled a quick 'good bye' to him before running towards the voice. I didn't know what to do nor what to say, so when he stood in front of me I went mute.

"H-hi." I stuttered. Well done Y/n. "H-how a-are you?" I said, playing with my fingers. My heart was beating so fast, I thought they could hear it as well. They, because Namjoon was there.

His stare was cold, heartless, he never looked at me like that. His black outfit wasn't helping either. It sent shivers to all my body. "Do you need something? I'm busy." He said. I didn't expect that answer, I needed a few seconds to formulate my words.

"W-well, I wanted to talk to you." I said, trying to calm myself. It was only Jin, just that he was being his moody version, I said to myself.

"I can't right now, I told you I'm busy." We heard a car horn. "Told ya."

"Soekjin-hyung, Samantha's here." Yoongi yelled from downstairs.

He gave me a last cold stare, my eyes already filled with water.

I saw him going downstairs. After the door got closed, I let out my tears, sobbing loudly in the middle of the hallway. Namjoon put his hands on my shoulder, trying to comfort me.

"Don't mind him." He whispered, before he gave me a tissue.

"How do you know it?" I asked, crying.

"Because I know him Y/n-ah." He pulled me into a hug, I hugged him back. After a few seconds I opened my eyes, Taehyung and Jungkook were looking at me furrowing his eyebrows. Mostly Taehyung, Jungkook knew almost all the story, so he could imagine what happened.

I closed them again, letting my tears roll down my cheeks.
