chapter 18 : Library

I was standing in front of the big door made from wooden material of the stone building, it was almost like a castle when I entered thought stone gate big hall came into my view, various types of books present in the wooden cabinets

The atmosphere was dark but if one wanted to read something they could easily able to read in this darkness due to fain light bulbs around each table

" Can I check your identity?"

I turn in the direction of the voice and saw an old man around age 60 or more with white hair and a short white beard, This old man was strange enough but the vibe am I getting from him was more stranger than that.

I don't know what he was expecting from me but I showed my Hero profile, the hero could use his hero profile as his identity card around the world according to the internet and if you are a hero then local libraries let you in free without taking money...

he looked at my profile and smiled

he chuckled and started walking in front of me

" young man as you can see ... nobody likes to visit the library because of modern technology, you can find everything on the internet nowadays, so the government wanted to destroy this old building and create a shopping mall but I purchase it from them."

I noticed that he didn't regret his decision even a bit, I like people who do what they believed was right... while walking past bookshelves I noticed there were thousands of books presented in it, almost untouched

I went toward a big wooden table and chair placed in the corner, I settle all of the books on the table with a sign and leans on a chair.

before I open my first book my mobile tune rang and when I brought out the name flashes on the screen, its Maggy. I used silent mode on my mobile phone and kept it in a pocket.

she was calling me since yesterday night but I don't want to face her...I am still trying to figure out what to say after I behaved like a stupid...

I opened a book named " Hope " but before I read further I wondered in my mind about this was going to be the first book I am going to read written by mortal

Until ancient war arrived The battle that almost wipe out our human race... along with others

Dragons, demons, vampires, and some of the humans most likely Worshiper of Death, necromancers fought fiercely for capturing all territories of the earth but they failed in that mission like others .. this War wiped their existences Demons and dragons both races wiped out from the planet completely, Vampires and Necromancers team up against them in that battle but they were similarly parish in the flames of the battle

Lots of mighty Dragons and Demon lords got killed by unknown peoples or some of us called them gods...

Some people believe, Necromancer's and vampires were still hiding as if they never survive that battle but some of the humans realized that they just blended with the humans for their survival.. after that war only humans left on this planet for hundreds of year's peacefully, we developed step by step to counter-attack any possible threat in near future, we developed Weapons that can kill millions of peoples in the blink of eyes to defend ourselves... until the strange portals appeared

At first, We failed to get any potential knowledge of what was those portals were capable of so we just observed them until creatures from that portals came out... we fought against them. we were successfully killed all of them in few days but it cost us thousands of lives however that was not the most terrifying Thing humanity faced ever since

After that day One by one all over the world Portals kept appearing, we were unable to defend ourselves with modern weapons at some point we weren't able to hurt them again we faced the deaths of a million people until one day few humans fought back with monsters using their powers...

first, we thought they were gods but when one by one lot of humans started gaining ability in some sorta mysterious ways. we again raised, we conquered back our lands, we established our 26 cities... And started controlling from that point

We realized that we don't want any help from others, even now we could Kill dragons, demons, or even Gods if they existed...

this is our planet and nobody has a right to invade us, we are the real Gods, if anyone dared to attack us then they will face consequences... They have to face the Wrath of Humans...

I managed to read all of the four books in 10 days, But after I completed the books...I was shocked and speechless... but why I am felt after reading this that these mortals became arrogant when they only able to get a small portion of powers.

but still, these books didn't describe how they got powers though, I walked out of the library after saying goodbye to that old man...

When I kept reading books even without eating food, this guy had always been sharing his food with me... And even he was the one that always sends me home with caring words

" Boy gets out, it's already 2 am. I want to sleep come tomorrow if you want ... "

I booked a cab while walking in the empty streets at the night, it was become my daily routine now coming early and going out late home... but I forgot one important thing in these days. This internet was a lot more useful, it's like the God of knowledge, because of this I managed to grasp everything related to humans, I become one of them in a small amount of time ...
