ch.11 I think I love you

Finn's P.O.V.

"did you really had a dream of a strange white wolf?" an old man interrogated me for almost an hour now, Red was very convincing, she told me that I am fated to her or should I say her soul mate, and I believed her since she was telling me what I saw in my dreams and I have never told anyone about my dream thinking it was just a random one, but it didn't occur once, but twice and it was the exact same wolf.

She said that her wolf named Devon told her, since she explained to me that her wolf was the one responsible for those dreams just to let me know that we are somewhat called 'fated mates'.

"yes" I said in a nervous tone, "can you please tell me what the wolf looked like so we could confirm that you weren't lying" Ronan pleaded, Red introduced him to me earlier telling me that he is an elder of the pack. He was hard to me at first, but later he slowly went from stern to calm.

"it was a 5ft tall white wolf and the eyes were glowing in red" I said honestly and it was the simplest way to describe the wolf in my dreams.

"how many times have you dreamed of that wolf?" he walked around the table and to my back.

"twice" I said, he nodded and smiled "I guess that would be all," Ronan said and I nodded, "so am I free to go now?"

"you may leave this room, but not this pack" A man came from the the door snorted in a stern voice.

"Hugh" Mr. Blackwood mumbled, the elder told me earlier that he is the alpha of this pack and Red's father.

"Alpha, please excuse my intrusion, but alpha Granger is back looking for you" He announced and Mr. Blackwood just sighed.

"Finn, you may go, I already have told Red to meet you down the stairs to the 2nd floor" I nodded and left the room.

I have never seen a house this big, I say this is a castle, but they call it the pack house, I guess that's a werewolf thing, it has 4 floors and hundreds of doors.

I walked down to the stairs and saw Red with two other guys I don't know of.

Red smiled at me, for some reason I felt something between me and Red, like I'm being pulled whenever she's close to me.

"Finn, this is Keane and Keaton, they are Hugh's twin sons and are the next in line of our pack's beta." Red introduced them and they both shook my hand. "nice to finally meet our future alpha" Keane mumbled and smiled.

"wait, alpha?" I furrowed my brows and I remembered Jason saying the same thing to me when he gave me a ride home.

"Red is the daughter of this pack's alpha, therefore whoever takes her hand will make her the luna of his pack if her mate happens to be an alpha, , but since you're not an alpha or a werewolf and don't belong to a pack, you will automatically become the next in line for this pack's alpha and Red as your luna" Keaton explained and I nodded.

This is so not my place, I can't be an alpha, I don't even how know what it takes to be a leader. I'm not a leader material.

"come on Finn, I'll show you to your room" Red mumbled and held my hand. "what if I refuse?" I mumbled and looked down.

"Finn, ...that would mean you reject me as your mate" I looked at her and she frowned.

Red led me to the room where I was going to stay, for a while, I don't know how long I would be here, mom would be worried about me, I didn't even remember to contact her since last night I left the house. Where is my phone tho, I don't remember having it around me when I woke up.

I sat on a queen sized bed, this room looks like someone already lived in here. I checked the closet and all these clothes are feminine. This must be Red's.

I made her sad and I felt bad for blurting out such things that would make her sad, I liked her since the day she comforted me, I even asked her out, oh wait, "fcuk!" I snorted.

I asked her out the other day, and our date is supposed to be after school today, I sighed deeply.

I doubt that our date is ever going to take place today, not with all this situation I'm in.

I should tell her that I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt her feelings, she didn't even talked to me after that.

She told me that it was her birthday yesterday while we were still in her car and I don't think she celebrated her birthday.

Red has been very gentle and nice to me, but I was an idiot and refused to listen, I let myself get consumed by my fear and panicked.

I ran my fingers to my hair and sighed, I can't believe I end up in this situations. I don't belong here... but I love her and she makes me happy.

All of my days were empty, I tried to put myself out, but it wasn't enough to fill me in.

Then I met her, she made me feel like I have butterflies in my stomach.

What the hell am I even standing here, I wasn't even waiting for anyone, but the permission from mr. Blackwood to allow me to go home.

I decided to leave this room and find Ruby when suddenly a familiar face showed up to my face when I opened the door.

"Finn, I came here to escort you" Hugh snorted and smirked. "where to?" I asked.

"stop asking and just move ahead" he said in a stern voice and I just listened, "just go straight down the stairs." he pointed and I listened.

Ruby said that his sons are the next in line for the beta title, I guess he is the beta of this pack and will soon pass his title to his sons who happens to be twins.

As soon as I reach the stairs a hand grabbed my shoulder forcing me to turn around, in mere seconds I went rolling down the stairs, the pain radiates in my left cheek the most and then my back.

I looked up and it was non other than Hugh who was on top of the stairs, he sucker punched the hell out of me, I didn't have the chance to notice his fist making contact to my face.

My lower lip was bleeding and I felt my back was hurting due to falling from the stairs, "you don't belong here Finn" he mumbled with a grin on his face.

He came down the stairs and luckily Jason came just in time, "what the fcuk happened to you? wait, you're bleeding" he mumbled and quickly supported me to stand on my feet.

He glanced up to the stairs and saw Hugh standing, "did you do this to him?" he shouted in anger.

"no, I tripped" I said and I can see his expression telling me he that he doesn't believed me. "yeah, he was just clumsy and fell off the stairs" Hugh said and smirked.

"like hell I'd believe that!" Jason shouted "know you place omega, you dare raise your voice again and I will slit your throat" he threatens him and walked down the stairs.

"you wouldn't want me as your enemy" he glared at me and left.

"just wait until the alpha knows about this, you'll regret this" he said.

"let it go Jason, I'm fine, I just tripped" I explained. "yeah, and the floor just decided to punch your face," he scoffed.

"come on let's get you to the pack hospital to check you for injuries" he mumbled and took me inside his car.

"don't tell anyone about this" I mumbled resting my head. "like hell I won't" he said sarcastically.

"please" I pleaded, "what the fcuk is wrong with you Finn?! you could've been seriously injured, he won't get away with this" he raised his voiced and he is angry.

"Jason I'm fine, just let it go!" I yelled at him.

"I don't see any severe injuries, just bruises, if you were a werewolf this would've healed faster, but since you're not I suggests you to... just rest, it'll heal in a few days." the doctor said and I just nodded.

"thank you, Dr. Andrews" Jason said and she nodded.

"where's Red?" I asked and he glanced at me, "she went to her room looking for you... don't worry I didn't tell her anything." I was going to asked him that, but he beat me to it.

"thank you" I mumbled and sigh.

"Red told me to meet her on her cabin" he said and I nodded.

Jason dropped me off to Red's cabin and I thanked him.

I knocked on the door and she didn't respond so I opened the door, it wasn't locked.

I saw Red, sketching something, it wasn't clear to me since I lost my eye glasses last night. My eyes weren't very bad at all, but it's slightly blurry so I wear eye glasses for perfect sight.

Red glanced at me and a shocked expression appeared on her face when she saw me.

"are you okay? what happened?" she ran to me and cupped the cheek that has a bruise on my face.

"I tripped and fell off the stairs, but I'm okay" I mumbled and forced a smile. I held her hand cupping my cheek, I know this is not okay after what I just discovered, but I don't want to let her go and I decided to hold on to this even if it hurts me.

She pulled my hand and told me to sit on the couch as she went to grab an ice pack.

I laid my head on her lap as she was holding the ice pack and placed it still on my bruise. We remained in that position for a few minutes without saying a word.

"Red?" I mumbled and looked in her eyes, it was a little swollen. "..." she didn't say a word.

"I'm sorry" I mumbled "this isn't your fault Finn," she mumbled and frowned, "I dragged you into this, I should be the one to say that". she mumbled and a tear escaped her eyes and fell on my forehead.

I sat up and wiped her tears with my hand. "I'm sorry, Finn, I will ask my father and the elder to send you home." she stood up and went to her room.

I followed her immediately, "Red, wait" I grabbed her hand and she glanced at me.

I pulled her closer and held both of her hand, I looked into her blue eyes and it was the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen.

She doesn't give me a chance to speak, so I didn't hold back and leaned to kissed her, she didn't fight it and just kissed me back.

Our kiss was passionate, I pulled away and looked into her eyes again. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said those things earlier and I didn't mean it, I was just... scared" I mumbled.

I realize I wasn't the only one suffering, I am her fated mate and I'm sure it was hard for her to see me rejecting her, "I don't want to reject you, because... I think I love you, Ruby Dayne Blackwood" I said to her in a sincere tone.

I guess it's a werewolf thing and I don't see that, but I'm starting to understand her.
