Gilded Age: A Long Contention

Vincent left the meeting feeling worse for wear. Crystal strode past him and down a flight of steps, her wolves teetering behind her. They cast him a glance and hurried after her.

Once the remaining council was sure the wolves were gone, the loud mouths rushed into a rage.

Vincent sighed. Was he about to get more paperwork? Speaking of which, did they remember to pick up the files? He should go check. Wasn't that the aide's job? Where did Xion go? Wasn't he with his twin behind them?

Vincent's attention drifted back to the glass door. Both the queen's aide and his aide were talking, as the glass door opened. The nearly-quiet four council members exited, slowly pushing passed both his Xion, and her Dion.

Xion glanced over to his boss, observing a mild troubling look on his tired face.
