Branded Hope: Mountain View

The Sar’ren watched from a distance a large group of people. The darkness did not hinder their vision. It seemed to be a line so long it extended beyond the mountain range. Their mouths watered, and thick drool seeped down, plopping onto the ground. Harshly made spears were their companions.

The group had a strange, familiar feeling. Tender flesh teamed up with their so-called brethren. The ones who threw away their greatness. Who regressed and tried to end them slowly. The jokes on them, they became more an evolved form. Rage overtook the lead Sar’ren. They will regret the day, the lead, Sar’ren thought.

A delightful, unfamiliar smell intermingled with the large group. Oh, how joyful the winged ones are there too. A mountain pass, with them having the higher ground. How delightful. As the group entered the pass, spears reigned down in a neat line before the thick mass of individuals.

Loud whistles from the air startled Loyal and the other Casalyians leading the front.
