ALICE
Selencia City is not that far. Just one and a half hour drive from Greater Regina City. And the driver did as I told. Probably for the sake of earning a hundred dollars.
I glance at my watch and it’s already 2 pm. I still haven’t had my lunch yet.
Food - cold chocolate drink, chicken. Without it, I’m a pile of skin and bones. Bloody headaches. Aliens invading my stomach. I can’t think straight.
When we reach the city border, I stuck my nose to the window and searched the street names with my eyes. I’m sure it’s close.
“Don’t worry Miss, we’re close.” the driver said with a grin. I raised a brow.
I did not expect he’s this excited for the hundred dollars... or maybe there’s something else? He veered to the left and my eyes caught the ‘A 4th St’ and ‘Broadway’.
“Hey, stop here. I want to get off.” I said and delve for my wallet.
