Pov.Asteria
As I dragged the bag behind me, I kicked some rocks in the way. I knew I was dragging out the time to see the hydras, but at the same time, I knew my mate was waiting there for me as well.
As I was hiding in the trees, I could see my mate's broad shoulders as he gave me his back. I took a step back and cursed myself as a twig broke under my heel.
He snapped his head to a side but didn't completely turn this body. I took a deep breath in and walked forward. I dropped my bag at a reasonable distance from him and took out my sword to put it in my hostler.
I picked up my bag once again and walked inside the cave. I looked from the corner of my eye at his surprised expression. What? Did he expect me to apologize? I grinned and chuckled inside my head, expecting at least a reaction from Cahya.
I sighed and walked inside the cave with my head held high and a perfect posture. I walked directly to their office.
I respectfully knocked and waited patiently for an answer. A few seconds later, I heard them whisper, "come in."
I opened the door, and all of their heads snapped my way. I nodded at their attention and locked the door, knowing my mate would come in.
They raised their eyebrows at my actions.
"I said we would talk once there weren't any 'bugs in the way,'" I remembered them. "And I have a feeling there will be one coming in a few seconds."
We all smirked once we heard someone trying to open the door.
"Asteria open the door," he warned.
"I'm sorry, but this is a private meeting," I joked while chuckling slightly.
"I won't tell you again, open this damn door," he growled.
"I'm sorry, but as I said previously, this is a private meeting," I said, coming closer to the door.
"Asteria, open this damn door, or I'll kick it down," he screamed.
"I dare you," I snapped.
I pressed my hand against the door, and the door started shining. I retracted my hand in a snap, surprised by my power's actions.
At the same time, I retracted my hand, he kicked it as well, but nothing happened. Somehow or some way, I did that.
I hear him groan from the other side of the door. I nodded and was thankful that now we had time to talk without worrying about him trying to knock down the door.
I turned my back on the door and gave a bright smile to them.
"Shall we now?" I asked and pointed to the couch.
They nodded and moved simultaneously. I moved and dropped my bag in front of me.
"Tea?" The hydra asked.
I nodded and crossed my legs, dropping my hands in my lap. One of them got up and served tea to each one and lastly me. I smirked at those actions. Royalty is always supposed to be the first one to need to be entertained or accommodated. It clearly showed everyone was an equal here.
Although I liked it, it would be disrespectful to others. I reached for my tea and cautiously smelled it. No matter what, I will always be cautious.
I took a sip out of it and kept it inside my mouth for a few seconds tasting for any venom or paralyzer. Once I didn't taste anything, I drank it.
"We are leaving tomorrow," I announced, not asking for permission. "We have to get everyone ready."
"Do you have a plan?" They asked.
"Yes," I shortly answered. "Although, are your soldiers ready for battle?"
"Of course, always are," they sipped on their tea and seemed to be almost offended.
"Perfect," I reached for my map and unfolded it over the table.
"We will cross the Tucana star, is one of the closest to theirs Ankka," I spat out. "Their star is one of the brightest ones. It was a gift from us. I thought they deserved it until a month ago."
They raised their eyebrows at my words.
"I know, they were my ancestors, but it's not my fault," I snapped. "Believe me. They don't deserve it.
They nodded my way in a signal for me to continue. "We will separate into seven groups, and we will name each group by the name of the star they will have to go to."
"Tomorrow, our main base will be Tucana. The main base that's where we will go," I said, signaling to each other. "Group B will be Sculptor, Group C Fornax, Group D Eridanus, Group E Grus, Group F Horologium, Group G Reticulum, and Group J Hydrus."
"Once we are all settled there, we will attack, NO compassion for the royals," I snapped. "The civilians and kids are innocent. If the guards attack, you kill them but let them try first."
They stared at me, not moving in the slightest, but I didn't lose eye contact, daring them to say something.
"It's almost perfect, but what about the resources," I smiled a genuine smile at their question. They were testing me, and that made me proud somehow.
"They are desolated islands nature has taken over them, meaning there are enough fauna and flora to feed you for a thousand years, all of you," I explained. "As for the weapons, they were abandoned by my people underground. Nothing, I mean nothing, can cross those vaults. Made by death stars."
They nodded in appreciation of my explanation. "We will leave the first time in the morning."
I got up and put my map back into my bag. I finished by shaking each pair of hands. I picked up my bag and walked towards the door. I stared at the handle for a few seconds imagining a thousand different ways as to what my mate would do.
I sighed and opened the door with a slam, and there he was, standing against one of the cave walls. He glared at me and glared at the hydra over my shoulder. I rolled my eyes and started walking out, not giving him a second glance.
