The 2nd quarter was much more uneventful but as the Chiefs were at exactly the 50 a bubble screen would lead to a 38 yards gain and the Chiefs would score off of it and get a kick. Later in the quarter however, the gap would widen once again with a drive dominated by DJ's short runs in a war of attrition. On that drive would be the biggest run for Logan in the quarter which stood at 18 yards.
Half Time
Warriors 28-8 Chiefs
The atmosphere was very hyped in the Warrior locker room as Logan went around dapping everyone up while DJ being the center of the room as usual was jumping up and down screaming shouts of joy. But as always the head coach dampened the mood and brought them back down to Earth.
"I know many of you were here last year when this team came within one point of beating us." He paced back and forth looking each player in the eye "They're daring you to count them out, they want you to think they've given up. But if you for one second let them believe they have a chance we will lose before you know it."
In the other locker room

The coach of the Dade County Chiefs did not seem sad at all. A young coach only around 26 stood in front of the team with a grin.
"With all these cameras out here, playing like this is pretty embarrassing" he then stared at Trey, staring daggers that hit Trey in his soul "It's time to turn up."
Saying no more they walked back into the field to warm up

Trey handed it off to the running back with a draw up the middle for 6 yards before he was wrapped up. Then Trey would run a read option where he kept the ball and sped to the left for 7 yards. And when everyone thought they would finally pass, while under center, Malik got a jet sweep to the right and after running 12 yards he gave Logan an obnoxious stiff arm and if Logan didn't grab onto a shoe and trip Malik it would have been the most embarrassing moment of his life but he was stopped for a 14 yard gain after falling forward. So after 3 plays they were in Warriors territory.

Now they ran the same play that they had run when Logan picked it off thinking he wouldn't notice but he played it the same as before but this time it was a fake and right in the middle of the field where Logan should be was Andre chugging down the field on a post and Trey threw it right in the bed basket before a corner would make a diving tackle on him.

The next play would leave Amari demoralized as Malik and him went up for a 50/50 ball…and the Chiefs had 6 more points afterward to say the least. The kicker would once again shoot the ball right up through the uprights
3rd quarter
7:38
Warriors 28-16 Chiefs
Logan would pick up the return and after running to the left and seeing no space he would spin around and go back to the right and as he made it to the opposing 20 he started to jog but was hawked down by a Chief and fumbled at the 10. The ball being recovered by the chiefs who would March down the field and then score from 3 yards out with a quarterback sneak.
3rd quarter
2:12
Warriors 28-24 Chiefs
Now this was a game the people could get into. The Warriors would get 2 fist downs with a couple more runs and on the last play of the 3rd quarter they stood at the opposite 43
Logan "activate god speed"
As they ran a fake to Amari and Logan would come back around on his own. Right now there was nobody on the field that could touch him. He sped past the corner who was moving almost in slow motion and with the momentum of speed he couldn't stop himself and barreled towards the Safety. Who was much stronger than Logan but with the new momentum he pretty much steamrolled the safety. As Andre was close to catching up he thought his safety could slow Logan a little but as Logan was at the 37 now and Andre was within 4 yards; 4 yards turned into 7; 7 turned into 10; Logan was long gone and out of sight and nobody could believe how fast the kid had gone. He was showing speed that could keep up with high schoolers at just 12 years old barely starting puberty.

Warriors 34-24 Chiefs
Logan was out the next drive on defense as he was so tired and his stamina wouldn't recover for the next 3 drives when he would finally catch his breath. But the team had been unable to score and the Chiefs had steadily driven down the field with curls, slants, outs, and run plays up the middle it was truly a wear and tear offense. But the defense did not break the drive after that.
4th quarter
3:41
Warriors 34-32 Chiefs
All they had to do was close the game out and waste time as they ran to DJ up the middle 6 times in a row gettin 2 first downs and landing on a 4th & 3 at their own 42. And with no punter the coach faked the ball to DJ and as the qb slid back unnoticed amidst the chaos and the tight end ran straight out it was wide open. But as the ball landed in the tight ends hand maybe the pressure was too much as it slipped right through and it seemed as though the whole world sighed in disappointment.
4th quarter

Warriors 34-32 Chiefs
1st & 10 on 42
Enough time for around 4 plays as they only had one timeout left.
The first play they ran flood as 1 receiver on the left ran a go. The rb stayed in the backfield to block. The inside receiver(Andre) ran an arrow straight to the sideline, the middle receiver (Malik) ran a deep 12 yard out, and the outside receiver ran a post instead of a streak and ran it right under where Malik broke off for his route setting almost a pick for Malik. Helping Malik catch the ball for a gain of 13.

The next play there was nothing open on the sidelines as the Warriors forced everything in bounds so Trey dumped the ball off to the running back for 7 yards and they hurried to the line and ran a quick play where Andre caught a quick slant for 4 yards before the Chiefs called their last time out.

Enough for 2 plays if they hurried the first play was a 5 yard out to a receiver for 5 yards.

The Chiefs kicker came jogging on to the field and he booted it right through without so much as a struggle.

Warriors 34-35 Chiefs
The Chiefs attempted a squib kick to erase all time off the clock and get it to somebody easy to take down but the tight-end who caught the ball pitched it back to Logan with full force. Time had expired and this was their last chance. Logan couldn't find any room in the middle so be turned to the left sideline and tried to make something happen. He juked one man out, spun past another but he was just going sideways and not forward so he tried to turn it up Field but there were just too many Chiefs blocking his way so he turned and ran to his right there he ran into Malik who grabbed his leg and held him. Then a Chiefs linebacker came flying in for the kill which Logan ducked under and proceeding to Malik letting go and with Logan assuming nobody would be to his left since he was just running right turned again to the left but as soon as he turned around. Andre covered his vision and laid a hit on him which Logan would never forget… the hit that nearly kept him out for the rest of that season. Andre would never forget it either as he had even cried on the field when Logan didn't get up thinking the injury had been insanely severe to his own close friend. After Logan remained unconscious for a day Andre sat in his room in the dark up until the moment Logan woke up and he heard the news.
But Logan's only thought before he passed out that day were: I guess god isn't on my side and the happiness couldn't last forever…
