It was time for the matchup of the year and DJ, Amari, Logan, and Devonte all came out as captains DJ sporting #0, Amari #1, Logan #22, and Devonte #6

On the other side in white and gold, and a shameless rip off of the Kansas City Chiefs NFL team, were Trey as #1 in a spitting image of Lamar Jackson, Malik as #2 standing at 5'8, and the edge rusher as #3 Andreas.

There was no longer a hint of friendship in any of their eyes. This game determined the playoffs for their league and being #1 was the easiest route to a championship.

The ref then begun "Purple, your the away team." He faced them "heads or tails"

"Tails never fails" DJ stated back in a gruff voice

The ref turned back to Trey and talked to him "he called tails"

Then the coin was flipped into the air and as it came down it landed on heads. "Gold it landed on heads, would you like to receive or defer til the second half?"

"We want to defer"

After the rest of the coin toss had proceeded the 7 shook hands and wished each other a good game. It was now game time…

1st quarter
10:00
Warriors 0-0 Chiefs

As Amari and Logan stood back deep to return the ball was booted to Logan and as he fielded it at the 20 he was only able to run it back to the 35 before being tripped up by a diving player.

The Warriors came out in their usual formation with 7 lineman and the only 2 mobile lineman were the tight ends on each side. While the qb stayed under center with DJ directly 4 yards behind him and Logan and Amari on either side just 3 yards back further than DJ.

The first play on offense was given up the middle as DJ ran right between the center and the right guard while Amari and Logan gave a push from behind. DJ dragged Chiefs players trying to arm tackle and even when one of his legs was grabbed he still pushed forward for a 14 yard gain.

The next play they went right back to it but to the left side this time. However DJ was chopped down like a tree from his legs and got 6 yards this time

From nearly the middle of the field this time it would be a stretch run to Amari and with the tight end sealing the defensive end, DJ getting the linebacker, and Logan occupying Malik it looked like it would be a big gain. But the safety came down quick and forced Amari to try to make a move which gave Malik time to come back and tackle Amari after a nice 15 yard gain

The next play would be right back to DJ for 7 yards. Then a play to Amari between the right guard and tackle this time with Logan as a lead blocker however he was blown up leaving Amari with nowhere to go but down. But it was still enough for a first down after he barely got the 3 yards needed.

This was when Logan got his first carry it was a toss with DJ and Amari leading the way. Andre came down off the edge ready to blow up the play. But, DJ wasn't having it as he laid Andre out. After that Amari was able to block the corner just enough for Logan to slip by. And as he raced down the sideline with the safety in range to tackle him. Logan at the 8 yard line hit a fatal dead-leg juke as the safety slid by on the ground trying to reach back and trip up Logan. But, nobody would catch him as he scored the first points of the game. With DJ completing the drive with an easy conversion. Trey and the rest of the offense would step onto the field for the Chiefs at their own 39.

They came out immediately in an empty set with 5 lineman, Trey in shotgun, 4 receivers out to the left, and Malik by his lonesome on the right. The 4 on the left from outside inward ran a fly, corner, out, and curl. While Malik on his side ran a stop and go lined up against Amari with Logan overtop as a Safety but creeping toward all the players on the left. But that was bait because when Amari lost a step and Logan saw Trey's eyes float over to Malik he made a break for him. No longer even looking at Trey until he got within 5 yards of Malik. Then when Malik's eyes got big he looked back for the ball launched 40+ yards by Trey and it landed right in his stomach and he turned to run it back. After stumbling from Malik tripping him he regained his balance and as everyone was on the opposite side he was able to run into the endzone without trouble.

1st quarter

Warriors 14-0 Chiefs

On the next drive the Chiefs we're driving but weren't able to finish as the Warriors got the ball on their own 11

1st quarter

1st & 10 on 11

Logan got the ball on a stretch but this time he was blown up for a 3 yard loss by Andre. Then he got the ball on a toss and only made up for the lost 3 yards. Until, Amari got the ball and he made a 9 yard run.

1st quarter
0:55
4th & 1 on 20

The coach was gutsy and went for it and as DJ pushed forward he fumbled it but it popped backwards right into Logan's arms and as everyone was trying to push back DJ. Nobody was left to protect the outside and as Logan picked the ball up and ran to the outside the foot race was never a competition as Logan scored on an 80 yard run.

2nd quarter
10:00
Warriors 21-0 Chiefs

It looked like the gods were on Logan's side, but how much longer would it stay that way? For the whole game, the whole season, or maybe this was all a twisted joke that would come back as poison much faster.
