Chapter 30 - Tools Solved

Chapter 30 – Tools Solved

"My tamed animal," Adrian introduced Whitey as his tamed animal but then, he remembered that Future said that tamed and pet creatures were different from each other.

"My mistake. This is my pet, Whitey," Adrian reintroduced Whitey the white rabbit to his friends.

"Pet? You can get a pet?" Keith asked, surprised.

"This is a game. Obviously, there will be people who can tame monsters and so on. Tamer is one of the more popular jobs or professions in RPG games. More so when we have a popular monster taming game, Rokemon which is still popular even to this day. How many generations of them at the moment? 100 gen?" Ceylon spoke.

In Rizend, there was a super popular monster taming game that started from a game without any color to a full immersion VR. The popularity of Rokemon had always been steady and after it entered the VR market, it exploded with unprecedented popularity.

The popularity happened because that was the childhood dream of many gamers to catch and tame Rokemon. That feeling became real although it happened in the VR world it was better than nothing at all.

"It is not hard for people to become a tamer. With the right special stat and tame skill, you can tame the creature. Since my special stat is animals, I can only tame animals. However, Future and Valiant said that we can evolve the animal if we find the special material," Adrian spoke.

"Can I learn tame too?" Keith asked.

"How can a sword special stat learn a tame skill? Make some sense a bit. You are a college student and asks a more intellectual question," Ceylon scoffed at Keith.

"Why must a college student ask a smart question? Anyone can ask whatever question they want no matter their status!" Keith fought back and the duo started to fight again.

A few seconds later, Keith asked, "Since the Rokemon Company participated in the movie three years ago, do they participate in creating Progress? If they did, will we see Rokemon as monsters in this game?"

When the World Government announced their first move to counter the addiction to VR, the Rokemon Company supported the government. Once Future was launched, all Rokemon games were deleted too.

Although the World Government spoke that Future was the one creating Progress, the other gaming company might have taken some part in this game too and Rokemon Company might be one of those companies.

"Not a fan of Rokemon. So, I don't care," Ceylon replied.

"I am not a fan either but meeting that Rokemon mascot sounds exciting. Since this is not a Rokemon game, meeting one of the Rokemon in this game will be quite fun," Keith spoke.

"Are we going to continue talking about that game? Don't you guys want to train your skills?" Adrian asked. Similar to Ceylon, he was not a fan of Rokemon either. Not that he hated it or anything like that. It was just that he was not interested.

"Hehe, sorry, brother," Keith smiled sheepishly.

"By the way, he is Whitey and is just a normal white rabbit. He will live with us here," Adrian spoke about Whitey again. "And, the three of you will train Energy Control and Energy Manipulation together."

"Huh? Whitey too?" Keith asked. Since Whitey was an animal, he did not need to train the skill. So, Keith was confused.

"Whitey is not a real animal and if it can evolve, that means it can learn skills too. The only way it can start learning skills is by learning the most basic of the basic skill, Energy Control, and Manipulation. With these two skills, he can create a skill by himself," Adrian spoke.

"This is a game after all," Ceylon agreed with Adrian.

"Let's start," Adrian channeled his energy to Keith and Ceylon again. The duo wanted to have that feeling again to help with their training and he did not mind helping them. They were comrades in the game and helping them was the same as helping himself.

After that, Adrian did the same to Whitey. Not surprisingly, Whitey took it normally and after getting Adrian's command, it sat beside Keith and Ceylon and started practicing too.

'Rabbit skill is easy to have but white skill? I wonder if Whitey can learn any of that?' Adrian thought. He could fully abandon the White special stat but since Whitey had it, it would be a waste to not use it.

"What should I do now?" Adrian had nothing else to do and he remembered something that he could do. However, before he wanted to do that, someone was coming.

"Adrian!" a bulky middle-aged man walked towards Adrian.

"Sir Valiant," Adrian got up from the ground and greeted Valiant. "Why are you here?"

"I want to tell you about the tools you ask," Valiant spoke and he looked at Keith, Ceylon, and Whitey who were busy with their training. "Hmm? I don't recognize these two."

"Since I already learn Energy Control and Manipulation, I help them with this training. They are supposed to meet you for the skills but since I can do it too, they just ask for my help," Adrian spoke.

"Ah~ That is why two names are missing on the list of my mission," Valiant nodded and he looked at Adrian again, "That blacksmith said he can work with the river stone but the most he can do with the stones is making tools, not weapons or armors."

"The river stone is just a normal stone and thus, making a weapon with them will not be good. He can make a knife out of them but the sword and so on is not possible. Making other weapons with the stone will put a negative effect on them such as using more energy, lower speed, and so on," Valiant explained to Adrian.

Adrian nodded as he understood what Valiant spoke off. If the blacksmith made a sword out of that normal stone, it would be heavy and not an exaggeration to say the user's speed would decrease due to the weight.

"It is the same with armors. They will be too heavy but tools like farming tools are possible to make but they will have a negative effect too. Even so, using them in everyday things is fine. So, this is good news for you. He will make some farming tools with the stones and I told them about our plan to dig the drain, lake, and well and he supports it."

"He will make the tools as fast as he could," Valiant spoke excitedly. "Ah, he also said that he could make bricks with the river stone and we can use it to fortify the well and drain."

"Really!" Adrian was excited to hear that and if they could produce cement or something similar to cement, that would be the best.

Adrian and Valiant spoke for a few more minutes before Valiant left. Since it was almost night, he needed to prepare for the incoming attack from some beasts.

Adrian inspected the trio for a bit and then, he started doing something else. "I should level up."
