The Hidden Chronicles [I]

Annie knew that the fact that she had gone back in time, that she had been reborn, was not a coincidence but something planned. Or rather something that was inevitable.

But why did it only happen to her and not to her mother when she was kidnapped and suffered until she gave birth to her captor's baby... couldn't she do it? Change her future...

Her conclusion at the end is that the gift was something that was inherited or was something innate to herself, because of the special blood of her father's side, but all that will remain a mystery.

To the present...

The studio was filled with an overwhelming silence, Eliza, Vincent and the Old Master were each lost in their own thoughts.

"But I didn't awaken that kind of ability..." asked the girl with confusion evident on her face.

"It could be your eyes, when you were going to awaken the ability something happened that changed your life and your relationship with some of us..."

Nervous Eliza "Eh!... that's because..."

"Yes, I know, you felt guilty about what happened with your Master, and the fact of that red eye you possess..."

Grandfather wanted to comfort his granddaughter, but couldn't find the right words to do so. Throwing a piercing glance at Vincent, wanting to make him intervene, but not a second passed when he was already in action.

"Love, everything will be fine, you don't need to feel guilty, in any way, the one who helped me after what happened to you, was your Master..."

"Eh!?"

"..."

"Wasn't he missing?"

"Yes, he was indeed missing, but when you were kidnapped, he came back the same day, nervous and afraid that something bad had happened to you, apparently he was aware of your situation... he didn't blame you."

If someone who knows Vincent very well, sees him stating so many words in the last couple of minutes they would be very surprised because just one word out of his mouth is worth gold, let alone three or four sentences, let alone comforting a woman, anyone would feel that they are in a parallel world a supernatural one or something like that.

**

Hearing how Vince tried to comfort her, she felt better, she knew that she had to change many things regarding her Master, although at the moment she did not know how, and she had to take care of two other people, to avoid what happens in a year from now on.

But after thinking about it for a while, with determination in her eyes and a fervor of anticipation deep inside her, "In a month's time, I will go to see my Master."

"Do you want me to come with you?" asked Vince with concern, and love.

"No, that's not necessary, this is something I have to deal with on my own."

"..."

"..."

After a while Eliza spoke again "But there's something I don't understand..."

"Tell me my dear granddaughter..."

"If it is hereditary, Annie awakened it at rebirth when she was 18 years old, at that time did she awakened more abilities? More gifts?"

"Yes, she awakened them, but there are no records of them, that is why our Golden Royal has tried to decipher certain scriptures that date back centuries, scriptures whose language has been lost with time... But perhaps, your master knows all that. For he is one of the descendants of the historians, capable of writing history, as well as the knowledge of the scriptures... But for you to have the right to know and inherit history you must be able to bear it and accept it."

After a pause he continued "There are many things that I as head of one of the Royals do not know, but he is in charge to keep the chronicle of the history from back then."

Eliza didn't want to bother her Master, because she knew that although he doesn't blame her, she blame herself, for what happen the day she turned 15 years old.

But It was not used to run from her past, neither run from the future.

Vincent was listening to what Grandfather and granddaughter were talking about, but he was immersed in his thoughts, until he finally spoke "There is a part of history that I am authorized to read about, but it is not complete, it is the chronicles that a Clan, with heterochromia, and the red-eyed woman who was the wife of the Clan Patriarch, the Matriarch, as well as Annie's biological mother, apparently Annie was the only one of the Patriarch's children who survived the passage of time and her descendants were to be the head of the families, but..."

"..."

"..."

Eliza and her grandfather were silent, paying attention to what Vince was saying.

"When her mother was kidnapped and the captor kept her locked up, with the purpose that she should bear a son for him, because those with red eyes are pure blood, just like the captor who has pure eyes too... but all that happened when Annie was only 8 years old."

"That is part of the forgotten and forbidden chronicles of our ancestors, forbidden for being a stain on history." Eliza commented.

"Yes, another part of the incomplete chronicles is that when Annie was 28 years old, she met her mother's captor, Silver Eyes, he had several nicknames, but no one knew his real name..."

"Silver Eyes!?" somewhat surprised Eliza couldn't help but have a strange feeling in her chest, like nerves, fear and many other kinds of emotions, but she lower down her head to keep them from seeing her expressions.

Noticing her mood Vince wanted to stop talking about it, because there was something telling him to stop, but he shouldn't, she should listen to him, because he knew the reason why she felt that way "Yes, that person has been a lifelong enemy of the Clan with heterochromia, but the exact reason why he kidnapped the matriarch of said Clan to bear him a child is unknown..."

"But when Annie found herself face to face with him, she wanted to eliminate him, and she did, she managed to do it, but at the cost of a permanent wound in her body, the wound that lasted for years and could not heal and that in the end caused her death."
