Storage Rings

Shanna explained everything that was there to explain to Alfin, there were three main professions to chose from. First one was knight who use mana to enhance there physical abilities to fight and it was the most chosen profession and Clifford was one of them. The second one was a mage who have one or two or maybe three elemental affinities, having three elemental affinities was very rare, mage were not physically strong but they use there mana to control a element to fight.

The third and the last one was a mage knight who use both elemental affinities and enhanced physical abilities to fight but they were rare as this profession required large amount of mana reserve, which was not a thing that everybody could have because having an elemental affinity was also a rare case.

There were also many auxiliary professions such as healer, potion maker, weapon smith etc. but some of these also requires elemental affinities so they were also sought after by many, and they also have very high reputation in the society.

And the ranks were as followed; there were nine ranks in each level, first level was the profession itself like mage, knight. The second level was master knight, master mage and the third level was called grand master but the kingdom of Altamont was very low level so they only had level three rank nine knights and one rank nine mage. There were no mage knights in this kingdom and this shows this was a very low level kingdom.

While talking about these things princess Shanna showed him a room where he would live from now on in the palace, she told him to take bath and afterwards they will go and buy an attire for Alfin so that he looks like a normal person. Taking a proper bath after a long time made him come back to his original skin tone.

Alfin looked very handsome if you remove his wild attire which gave him the vibe of an violent person as his clothes were made of monster skins and furs, his pupil were of purple color which attracted most of the attention. Even the princess was shocked after seeing the changes, she did not ask him that for how long he had not taken a bath.

Now he was wearing a coat made out of tiger monster's fur which looked beautiful even the princess was shocked not because of his clothes, because where he got another set of clothes as he was not carrying any baggage with him.

"Where did you get these clothes from as you are not carrying any baggage." Shanna asked.

"Oh, I have a storage treasure, isn't that very common here." Alfin replied casually.

"You should not tell anyone that you have a storage treasure as these things are very hard to come by, even if you have money you won't be able to get it. Even my father doesn't have one." Shanna warned him because if the word goes out Alfin has a storage treasure it will create a bloodbath even the neighboring kingdoms would get involved.

"I will not tell anyone about this so, don't worry. And I can give you one as a gift, I have one extra. You have helped me a lot this is my way of saying thank you to you." Alfin threw one storage ring towards Shanna, which she catches hesitantly.

Shanna was shocked that Alfin who looked like a person who doesn't have a penny has two storage treasures which could even cause the second level kingdoms to go mad about it. And when she checked the ring out with her mana her soul almost flew out of her body, the ring has the space of hundred cubic meters.

A storage treasure of 1 cubic meter was enough to cause fight between kingdoms, but this ring was enough to cause the massacre in the whole continent. And Alfin gave her the ring like that was nothing to him and he has another. Now she was doubting his identity who was he, he was able to defeat Clifford with only his physical strength, even he had not used his full strength.

Alfin had also been weakened because of the summoning seal and also she was much weaker than Clifford, this means he doesn't even had physical strength which could make him par to a rank three knight. "Wh-who are you. How strong are you to have treasures like these rings." Shanna asked, as these were the only things that came to her mind.

"Hmm what to say, I m just a human strong enough to destroy this whole kingdom in one strike." Alfin said but after seeing Shanna's face full of fear and terror he regretted saying that. " I am just joking don't take it seriously and I would never do something like that." He said to calm her down.

"Are you really that strong." Shanna asked with fear still filled in her eyes, she really believed in what he said as these rings backed up what he said.

"You don't have to worry about that as of now as my strength is sealed at your level and will progress along with your strength and you should not tell anyone about that okay. And I will help you get stronger as this will also help me." Alfin said that to reassure her.

Shanna nodded and it still took a while for her to become calm again. She made a mental note to not tell anyone about Alfin's strength and the storage rings. Now Alfin was also a weakling and could be easily killed by anyone stronger here, and he doesn't looked like anyone who would kill randomly and she felt that he was a nice person, even their fate was joined as a summoner and summoned.
