Chapter 20

"Can I help you?" I let go of Mr K and walked towards the one leading the group.

"We are a coven of witches that wish to help you with the food chains around the world."

"R-really? I thought I'd be doing it all on my own." I stepped back a little surprised.

"We wish to help normalize this world so we can go back to our families. Some of us had human families that you took us away from." She glared at me.

"I already explained, if there is anyone who wishes to become mortal and re-join earth you'd just have to make a plea."

"We do not desire to give up our magic. We simply wish to return to earth quickly."

"I can also bring humans here. Everyone has a protection spell placed all over the world so humans are safe here, they just may not react well knowing that vampires and wolves and all mythological creatures really do exsist. It would be up to you personally to control their reactions if you wish to bring people here."

"Shouldn't I be apart of this topic?" Helios walked up next to me making the witches kneel down in front of him.

"Uhm.. I'm a goddess too, that felt like pure disrespect." I whispered to myself.

"I apologize. We mean no disrespect. We are servants of the sun and Helios is the god of the sun so we owe him everything."

"Oh, are you the Hellions?" Helios smiled and lightly blushed.

"We are sir. We are your humble servants."

"Humble my ass. Helios, they're all yours. Have fun." I tried to step back before he grabbed my arm. "You know the next person who grabs my arm is going to get sucker punched." I sighed.

"They are here to help with the restaurant so you need to be the one to work with them. I've heard of them but I haven't been the one to help them when they need it, you have. Don't you remember?" He thought to me.

"Wait what?" I scanned my memories but any time I had on Olympus or any god status place was nothing but fog.

"Nevermind. You can't remember anything in this state. Regardless, you need to be the one to work with them. If they want to bring humans here though, they need to speak to both of us. I think it's only fair."

"You have a point. Deal." I looked to the witches and sighed a little less irritated. "So, how can I help you fine witches?"

"For those of us who wish to bring our human families, where do we go, what do we say?" One of the witches in the back spoke up. She was young about my age.

"You can come up to the front and state your concerns. Write down on a sheet of paper who you wish for us to bring. We'll only be able to bring family members, if you wish to bring friends it will require serious attention since the protection spell can only protect so many. We have room for about a billion before we risk it not working. So please be considerate." Helios said.

"We don't have a protection limit." I thought to him.

"Do you want to bring all humans here? Think smarter, not harder." He shook his head.

"And for those of you who wish to help with the restaurants please follow me. Helios, you can handle the families right? Just call me when you need me." I winked at him. He nodded his head and I began walking to the back side of the building in front of my dads home. About half of the crowd of witches followed me while the other half remained to speak to Helios.

"First, I want to thank you for participating and being so accepting. I understand this is a real inconvenience but you have no idea how much it means to me that you're all willing to help. I'm sure Helios is happy your all helping too."

"What do we need to do?" The leader that originally approached me asked.

"Have any of you had any experience in construction magic? We need to build restaurants all over the world where witches can easily travel in between. In each store there will be a portal to travel from one location to the next. This will be just like any other restaurant, if you are unhappy with a customer for treating you poorly, you have the right to refuse them service. In these stores, you can practice all your magic and even work on growing as a witch since I have some gods asking to help with this world and I feel witches should get first hand acceptance since you've gone through more then anyone being the first beings of earth."

"So if I don't want to help a vampire because they just want blood I don't have to help them?" One of the witches scoffed causing laughter to break out.

"Silence please. That is not what I said. If the vampire has verbally or physically threatened you, you do not have to help them and they will be banned, same goes for every other creature. I'm asking that all of you, and even all of our future customers to have an open mind and think with kindness before anything else. We all need to focus on being the best possible versions of ourselves and not be selfish."

"Easy for you to say, miss goddess of empathy." I heard a male voice say. I turned and saw Danny standing there crossing his arms.

"What are you doing here?"

"I want to go home. This place is crap. If I have to return home a mortal then fine but don't force me to stay here." He flipped his long dirty blonde hair and glared at me.

"If you want to return to earth, you can make a plea at the designated location like I have told everyone else. If you don't mind I have work to do. Oh, and you can call me Mrs Jones. If you wish to go back then maybe show a little kindness, or even maybe some respect." I rolled my eyes and turned back to the witches.

"Whatever." I heard him mumble before he walked away.

"Now, if anyone wishes to help with the construction, just join in whenever. If at any point in time we need to build more then we can but for now we only need one in every city and two in every major city. Ready?" I sighed before I closed my eyes and stared humming remembering the spell Kronos gave me to create all the locations with everything needed inside.

I focused on one being built near the school here so it'd be easy for us to travel easier. At first I could only hear myself humming but after the one in front of me began to form, I heard more and it just continued to grow, the power had poured out of me but it was building within me as well. I felt like I could tackle down a mountain if I could keep this energy but I knew it was only for this spell.

Slowly but surely I felt the energy wash away and when I opened my eyes I realized all the witches were holding hands, even with me. The two witches holding my hands released them and smiled as they looked towards the entrance to see a large dark purple and black building. It had about four levels and a blank sign.

"Let's go check it out!" I smiled as I began running towards it.

---Adams POV---

I watched as Renae ran with the witches towards the building they had just created. I held onto Owen and Eve and felt my heart sink.

"You okay?" Eros took Owen from me.

"Huh? Yeah why wouldn't I be?"

"Because your face says otherwise."

"I just.. I'm overjoyed that she's back but.. nothings going to be the same since she's practically running the world. How is she going to be able to have a life with me? That's why I never wanted to run the council because I knew I wouldn't be able to have a life of my own. Owen and Eve are going to grow up and she won't be able to be apart of it. Am I just being selfish because I want her home like it used to be? I just don't know how I feel about this."

"I understand. Nothing will be the same again but you can't help it. She did everything she could in order to come back to you. Sure she's busy now but she'll always be able to come home to you now. I don't think you're being selfish, you're thinking for her sake because she's not going to be apart of her kids life like she wants. It's all just going to need adjusting. This new world was just created so it needs some attention at first but things will calm down soon. Just relax and be patient."

"I'll try. It's just a bit hard."

-

Hours had passed, I hadn't seen Rae since she ran into that building. After Helios helped all the remaining witches, he joined us in the house to wait for her but we're still sitting around waiting.

"So Adam, how's it feel to be married to a goddess?" Helios tried to fill the silence outside of the children doing tummy time.

"I always kinda knew.. since the first moment I saw her. It's just kinda weird now."

"Yeah, this is really different. I'm sorry to take her away so often. I don't mean to overstep or anything but you know how this works, she's the main ruler of this domain, I'm just here to help where she needs it."

"Well I guess I just expected her to be home, not out and about with a bunch of witches. I'm happy she's back but I feel like I didn't really get her back." I sat on the couch and slumped still feeling as broken as I had felt when she was first taken.

"Adam, can you hear me?" I heard Raes voice.

"Rae?" I looked around but couldn't find her.

"In your head smart guy." Helios chuckled.

"Uh, Rae?" I closed my eyes and just thought about her.

"Hi babe. I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am. I'm just trying to finish up everything with the witches, I'm in Russia trying to add more buildings so it's more spaced out since it's population is extremely widened now. I'll be home soon I promise. Can you give the twins kisses for me if you put them to bed before I get home?"

"Yeah.. that's fine. I'll see you soon."

"Are you okay? You don't sound like yourself."

"I'm fine. I'm just trying to adjust to this, all of this. It's going to need some getting used to."

"I can help with that. I'll be home soon, I promise."

"It's okay, just get home whenever you can. I love you."

"I love you Adam."

I sat up and sighed as I watched the twins grab onto each other trying to get stability on one another.

"So, she okay?" Tyler sighed as he plopped on the couch next to me.

"Yeah.. If you want to talk to her just do the mind thing."

"I have, she's not responding to me. Maybe she can't hear me-"

"Trust me, she can totally hear you. You're just annoying." Helios laughed making the room except Tyler break into laughter.

"Screw all of you. I'm going outside." Tyler stood up and walked outside slamming the door shut behind him.

"Can I help you?" I let go of Mr K and walked towards the one leading the group.
