Her scent started to grow stronger the closer we got to the main road, once there, it ended abruptly and I let out a growl of frustration. They must have travelled by car from here, which means there's no trail to follow. "She's gone." I said, looking down the empty road, trying to think about possible hideout locations.

"Now what? We can't just let her go! Can't you sense which way they went?" Haden said, his eyes wild as he ran his fingers through his blonde hair.

"Do I look like a witch to you?" I snapped once I'd shifted back, not caring about my lack of clothing as I turned around and walked back towards the house. Just before I shifted back I turned to Haden, "We need to speak to Mom. Now."
