Two Weeks Later~
"Ouch! Gah! Why does my head hurt?" Daisy groaned as she held her head feeling a bit hazy.
"Oh? I can see that you're already awake." A female voice said. But it wasn't familiar to her at all. So she looked around, only to find herself in a place she is not really familiar with.
"Where... Where am I?" She asked confused while still holding her head. Then she felt a throb in the head, making her hold it again, and this time... She has a faint memory of something.
It was the scenery where her family was slaughtered in their own home. And because of this, her breath went uneven, making her sweat. She felt scared and at the same time, nervous.
"Is there something wrong sweety?" The nurse asked worriedly.
"My family... My sisters, where are they? I need to talk to them." She said and tried to stand, but failed when she felt a pain in the chest. She was brought back to her bed to lay down.
"You don't have a family, sweety... You're just a beggar who we found around the empire and brought you hear to grow." The nurse explained, but she waved her head no.
"No... That's not true. I know that I have a family, where am I really? I live at Northern Dawn, so where the heck is this part of the Dawn Empire?!" She asked and even if the nurse tried to calm her down. Her anxiety just kept on building more.
"You have been in a coma for two weeks sweety, you must've just had a bad dream." The nurse again said, trying to convince her.
"You can't fool me about that... I remember everything, my family, my friends... Everything, and I know that you're just lying, so please... Tell me the truth. Where is my family?" She asked and tears started to fall from her eyes, making the nurse sigh in sadness.
"To be honest with you... They're all de-"
"Nurse Oh! We need you here! One of the patients is making a fuss!" A nurse came and told her while having a frustrated face.
"What's going on?" She asked.
"I think the vaccine didn't work on him and he still remembers everything. He knows what happened and we can't convince him otherwise." The nurse explained, making Nurse Oh look at Daisy for a moment, then back at the other nurse.
"Could you please accompany this little fella here? I'll just go check what's happening there." She requested and the nurse nodded as an answer. She said thank you before leaving the two behind to go see what is happening.
"Let me go! I need to see my family! I need to see my friends! I need to go back at Northern Dawn! Please!Let me go!" The young boy said and although he is being held by some of the nurse boys, he is kind of strong for a young one.
"Hey sweety? May I know what the problem is?" She asked with her sweet voice.
"Please let me go back to Northern Dawn. I need to see my family and friends again, they must've missed me. And don't tell me I was just a beggar in this freaking town, because I don't. I know my past and I still remember everything!" He explained, making the nurse sigh.
"If you really do remember everything, then why do you want to go back to that ghost town?" She asked directly, making the boy silent. "Don't you understand why the king brought you here? It's because you are not safe there anymore. The terrorists might go back there and seize what they have left." She explained. "And everyone else is dead, right? So why go back if you don't even have someone to return to?" She continued, the boy still silent. But this time, the young man started to cry silently. His tears continued to fall and he felt a stab in the chest, knowing that what he really saw in his daydream was a true scenery and not just some old nightmare.
"So they really are dead? All of them?" He asked and tried to wipe his tears, but it keeps on falling back, so he just looked down.
"Not all of them if I may say. There is a total of ten children who survived the ambush, but I don't think they remember anything at all." She explained, making the boy look at her.
"Is it because of the vaccine that you put in us?" All of the people inside the room, were surprised to hear a young girl's voice asking. And when they all look back, they saw Daisy standing weakly while holding into one of the bars at the door.
Well to be honest, the hospital where they lies doesn't have doors in every room. It's just like one of those places where the divisor of the beds are like curtains, get my point?
The young man looked ahead only to be shocked to see Daisy. The young girl also met his gaze, making her have the same expression.
"Granger?/Daisy?" They called
simultaneously, making everyone look at them both. Granger on the one hand, got up to his feet and ran to Daisy to hug her.
"Goodness your ok!" He said and hugged her as tight as he could.
"You too, I thought I wouldn't be able to see you again." Daisy also hugged him back and cried.
They both hugged for like, almost one minute then looked around. They also look at the nurses in front of them.
"Please tell us where we are and what happened after the incident." Daisy said, and even if Nurse Oh wanted to keep the truth, she just couldn't handle the fact that she is feeling guilty about lying.
"You two sit here so we can tell you everything." She said and motioned the two back at Granger's bed. The two didn't go against this and just followed what was told.
