"That's it~ keep going, you can do it~ one more step~ and... There! You did it! Wow! You're a fast learner!" Instructor Eurie said as I finish walking in ten circular chairs while holding two books at each hand, and a book in my head. It didn't go well in the first one. This is like... My 30th try, and it's a good thing to work. I thought I wouldn't make it, again. But this teacher is just very persistent, and she told me the dos and don'ts in this kind of things, making it a bit easier for me to do what is needed.
"Ok~ since were done with the first basic move, let's try to do this next." She walked towards me and the chairs disappeared. Then the tiles changed its appearance. But pure gray to a colorful one. "Remember to always keep in mind the different colors of the rainbow, for if you step on the wrong stone..." She tossed a pen on the blue stone first, making it covered in ice.
"I-I see." I said nervously.
"Oh? Before I forgot to tell you, every three seconds, the tiles changes its colors, so you need to move on the next color before the tiles changes in where you step, or you know what the consequences will be." I thought the first one was worse, but I think as this practice moves? The worser it gets.
"Ok, I'll keep that in mind. HEHE~" I laughed nervously and looked at the tiles. It changes colors so fast. And I hate it. Well, she didn't forgot to show me how, but how could I even move?! I can't even recite the colors in ten seconds only. And she just went pass through all of it easily?!
SHE! She wouldn't be a teacher if she's not this good.
"Your turn dear. Just be calm and focus, it'll help you get pass through this. Just, believe in yourself." She assured me and smiled, making my nervousness fade away a little bit.
I nodded as an answer and looked in front of me. The tiles changed its colors, so I focused on it and followed the pattern of the color. "Don't overthink dear. Just jump like you're playing, I know it'll help." She said and that made me think...
Easy for you to say!
Anyway, I did what she said and with a little bit of hesitation, I was about to hop unto the first red stone on the left, when we heard the bell ring. Indicating that our time is up.
"Aw~ our time is done, for now. Goodluck with your next training dear... I know you can do it!" She said and raised her right arms up like she is cheering for me. "Anyway, for you to get use to hopping on these stones, you need to practice your agility and speed." She explained.
"I understand professor. Thank's for the advice." I smiled and took my leave after that.
I went straight to the canteen to buy some foods. That training made me hungry and that was the first thing that went inside my mind after practice. Eating. Anyway, the next part will be about fighting. I don't know what it's like to practice with him, but I really am thinking that this will not go smoothly.
It's not like I hate him at first sight. The thing is, he just gives me this strict and cool vibes, like... If you don't do what he wants you to do, you'll face a consequence. So as I was eating. I started to plan out how I could do things the way I want this training to be.
"Daisy! Glad we saw you." I heard Guinevere called out. "Mind if we join you?" She asked and I waved my head no. So they sat at the vacant chairs within the table I was seating on.
"How did your training go? Was it hard? Did they punished you?" Rose asked while stuffing her mouth with the chocolate cake she bought.
"What kind of question is that even, Rose? You're kinda weird sometimes, did you know that?" Mye said and giggled.
"Everyone of us is weird, Mye... There are just people who cannot hide their weirdness, like me." Rose explained. "So~ what happened?" She asked me again.
"Nothing much. They didn't even shouted at me. They were more like... Come on! I know you can do it! Keep going! And the likes." I explained, making them look at each other.
"Maybe she hasn't trained with him yet." Guinevere said, making my eyebrows crunch. "Have you trained with Professor Greg yet?" She asked and I waved my head no.
"Ooh??? That cold blooded statue?! If only he's not one of the best professors here, I should've made a way for him to be banished here!" Rose said, making me worry a bit.
"But don't worry. He's just strict in that kind of things because he wants us to learn and not just to play around." Mye explained and smiled. I felt assured at that, but still, I can't wash away this feeling of dread.
After eating, we heard the bell ringing again. So we bid our goodbyes and parted ways. They walked left, I walked right, back to the place where I was at earlier. But instead of seeing a woman, I saw a man with his back facing me. Must be professor Greg.
"Ughm~ Good morning Professo- whoa!" I was surprised to see a sudden attack out of nowhere, and good thing I saw what he did and scaped my death!
What the hell is this teacher thinking?! Is he planning to kill me in this instant?!
He kept on attacking me while I just kept on scaping or blocking him when ever the chance is up. No words were heard between us two, and the only sound that can be heard is the sound of fighting.
He backed off from me, so I thought he was already finished, but then... He raised his palm and I saw how blue smoke started to form from his hands.
Oh shit! What?!
He then quickly pointed his hands at me and the smoke gushed towards me. It felt like slow motion to be honest, and all I could do was hold a breath, until my mind snapped back to reality and tried to think of a way.
The wand!
I remembered the wand that I always hide in my arms, so I quickly grabbed unto it and pointed it at the smoke while thinking of only letting me live. That did happen, but it made me flew a meter away from where I was standing.
"You surprised me with what you did, young lad. I didn't expected you to use such thing." He said, and I was just like.
"That was dangerous! You didn't even gave a cignal! What if I didn't scaped the first attack?! What if your magic hit me?! I could have died!" I don't care if he gets mad. Just because he's a professor doesn't mean I can't tell him things like this.
"That could have been the case... But did you?" The only thing he said before turning his back on me. I was silenced by what he said. "Your first training will be this." He said and again, used his magic to summon something. It was a man with a sword in his hand, more like a katana made from wood, but colored blue. Ice is his magic, so what else would be the color? "Try to fight and defeat this soldier." He said and walked out of the door.
What is he thinking?! Leaving me behind like that-?!
"Oh, and by the way... Don't ever think of going out in this door, unless you're done with your errand there." After that, I heard none.
I guess I have no choice then.
