Chapter 60: Breached!

Third Person

Let us visit the Empire of Dawn, who is now having the festival of Legendary Elites. It is always held in the middle of the months, and only celebrated, when someone is about to be a part of the said team. Or if the king says so.

Now, they are celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Legendary Elites. Everyone is excited to know who the lucky Dawnian will be part of the group.

They are all ready to listen, and when they saw the king up the stage with the queen and princess, they all greeted and payed their respect. Putting their hands on the left chest and bowing slightly.

"Arise my subjects." He said and everyone followed. "As you all know, today is a very special day. For a lucky man will be hailed as one of the most powerful guards of the empire!" With this, everyone shouted in unison as they cheer for the person who is about to be honored.

"Light Zandre Frost, Sky Frost, Marc Gabriel, Jade Aadila, please come up on stage to help me." He continued and upon hearing the names, they walked up. "Now, let us welcome, our new legendary elite... Let us give our respect to... Granger Sonata!" Everyone was louder than earlier as Granger's name was called.

He walked up the stage with a proud expression on his face. He was also wearing a white cloth, more like a white suit with a black belt, and attached to it, was a holster with his gun on it.

Upon arriving in front of the king, he bowed and also did the same towards the queen and the princess, he also bowed to the other elites who bowed back to him.

"Granger Sonata, I, King Merci, hereby give you the right to be part of Dawn Empire's greatest imperial group. Legendary Elites." With this, he put a small badge at Granger's cloth, left chest part. It was the sign of Dawn Empire, it was a phoenix, an orange phoenix.

"I am honored to serve the empire with my life." He proudly said and everyone cheered while the choir was heard singing.

After the promotion, they celebrated the entire day. They were all drinking and dancing as though nothing was about to happen. They didn't think of negative things and just let the day pass.

But even if everyone was happy, Granger didn't feel the same. He just felt something incomplete in him.

He just remembered someone who'm he really know. So he went to Oracle Ban to ask about it.

"Hi! Congratulations about your promotion! Look how far you've now reached! I am so proud of you." Oracle Ban greeted him, and he smiled at what she said. "So why did you visit me at this time? You're suppose to hang out with your new team."

"I am here to update about Daisy. It was, I don't know... How many years since she was away from me. I don't even know what she looks like now. She must have been matured and beautiful." He smiled at the thought and Oracle Ban smirk teasingly at him.

"I guess someone is missing a friend. Or should I say, love one?" She laughed and teased him more. "Come here." She said and went towards the cauldron that is in the middle of the room.

"Grand cauldron, I request upon thee...

Here I am, the oracle, telling my plea...

Let us see Daisy, the Phoenix Bearer." She said and the cauldron started to swirl inside and a mixture of green and blue emitted from it, while Ban continued to do her ritual. It almost took ten minutes, when the cauldron started to go crazy and the water inside waved like it was disagreeing with what she's doing. Then after that, the cauldron stopped and the color faded. Nothing happened after that.

"What happened? Are you ok?" Granger asked worriedly as he help Ban sat straight on a chair behind her.

"Her power has evolved into something more powerful than I expected. I can't see her anymore, she hid herself from others sight." Ban explained, making Granger surprised but at the same time, disappointed.

"It's ok oracle, I get it... Please rest a bit, you've done all you can. Thank you for that." Granger said and left after making sure that oracle is asleep.

But soon after he arrived at the palace, he was more than shocked to see that everyone was slaughtered to death. Blood everywhere, and he also witnessed how someone just cutted someone's throat in front of him.

He then held his gun and pointed it at that person and.

Bang!

A loud noise was heard. Everyone shouted in fear as the commotion grew. Even the people inside the palace were alerted.

"What happened?" The queen asked worriedly.

"That's the sound of Granger's gun!" Imea said and stand up to look outside. "No! We've been breached! Mom! A war had started outside!" She hysterically said and her mother hurriedly went to her aid.

"Thank Aurora you're both here!" They heard the voice of the king, so they both ran towards him and embraced each other. "Don't worry, because we will stop this war as soon as we can, and until this commotion ends, don't come out." He said and the other two was hesitant at first, but agreed after.

They were both left at the throne room with ten guards, while the king and the general, with the others have gone out to fight.

Little did they know, that the throne room had already been breached. Someone is now inside the room.

"How annoying!" They were all surprised to see a girl same age as Imea, to walk in front of them. The guards sorrounded the royal family to protect them. "Greetings, your highnesses." She said and bowed.

"Who are you? And why are you here? You're not suppose to be here." The princess said while trying to hide her mother behind her.

"I am just here to guide you." She said playfully, and showed her hand with black magic. "Guide you to your deaths!" She said and all the guards pointed their spears at her, which, made her chuckle. "What a waste of time... Just die!" She said and before anyone could even make a move to attack, all of them fell down not breathing.

"You! How dare you kill in our empire?!" Imea said and with just a flick of her hand, her spear came towards her with sped force. "You will pay for what you've done!" She said and covered her mother.

"Let's see if you'll be able to say that after I do this!" She grinned evilly, making the two curious. "Come out Arhin!" She said and in just a split second, the queen was surprised to feel something pierced through her chest.

"Mother!!!" Imea shouted as loud as she could, and let go of the spear. She then held her mother as tight as she could. "Mother! Please stay with me! Please don't die! Mother! Keep your eyes open." She panickly said while holding her mother.

"Imea... P-Promise me... P-Protect t-t-the e-empire at all costs." The queen said before she died.

"Motheeer!!!" She cried while embracing her mother tightly.

"Aw~ look at them... So cute. Don't worry your highness, you'll be next in line." Arhin said while holding Imea's spear. To both Arhin and Alice's surprise, they saw Imea's eyes glowing powerful white while gritting her teeth.

"I won't let you get away with this! You embiciles!" She angrily shouted and casted her hand, making the spear escape from Arhin's grasp and fly back towards her. "I will make you pay for this." She said and turned the spear in clockwise until it looked like a propeller about to fly. "Spear's wrath!" She shouted and in just a second, rains of spear like shapes came down from up above, and piercing through things that it hits upon.

The two was caught off guard with this, making their bodies have bruises, and what's worse, is that they both got a fatal blow at their shoulders and legs.

"Furies Pierce!" Imea shouted and pointed the end of the spear right at the siblings, and from it, white light emitted and shot like a laser.
