Awakening

As the sun rose across his town and stirred the sleeping residence from sleep Dorima was already awake. He was laying in a small room with one bed a few pictures from his achievements a dusty old closet. He watched the sun slowly crawl around his room denying the shadows which plagued his nights. Dorima thought back through his life as his hallucinations started to happen.

Well not hallucinations exactly all his life he has been able to see extraordinary things at daytime. Animals with more colours, small balls of light that Wizz around the house, Giant bubbles that don't pop no matter what you do, huge structures and robots just sitting there forgotten and so much more. The rush of his experiences breathily broke a smile on Dorima's cold face. However, with pleasant memories comes the darkness threatening him. It started when his was just passed one year old, he still thought that everyone could see the beauties of the day, the creatures of the night came.

Twisted, malformed creatures with almost thick soup like bodies of darkness would hide in the shadows of his room. The fear that these creatures brought forced him to be awake as an almost torture for him.

"Oi where are you" The loud obnoxious voice invaded and erased all train of thought. Dorima's mother who was waiting on the other side of his rooms door suddenly burst though surprising Dorima and making him jump up from bed. His mum ran to the window a yelled" The sleepy head will be down in a minute would you like to come in for toast Marco?" the owner of the previous invasion of Dorimas thoughts responded with a yes. His mother turned a clam but assertive stare at Dorima "Get dressed, please son", then turned around to leave.

A few moments later Dorima had thrown some clothes and crashed down the stars due to a trixe beasts which changes shape to pull pranks on Dorima, he wished he could change the name, but he named the creatures when he was one. It pretended to be the stars a few centimetres from the actual stars causing Dorima to fall and created a crimson streak along his forehead. The trixe laughed a playful childlike laugh before disappearing.

His mum rushed over and helped Dorima up with Marco supporting him from the side lines with toast in his mouth. "Don't rush to my rescue or anything" Dorima annoyingly grunted at Marco who playfully replied with I won't and chomped down on his toast. After his mother got the first aid kit out from under the sink of the kitchen and had stitched Dorima back together, He took in his surroundings, the kitchen has changed much since he first saw it, he thought, gone wear the bronze diner style stools, the old worn out oven even the wall separating it from the dining room was gone. Tears welled up in Dorima's eyes. "Oh, not again", His mum exhaled and dabbed his eyes dry "this happens almost every day now, listen Dorima I know change can seem scary but it's okay please don't cry", Dorima nodded in agreement and he and Marco set off to school.

On the way to school Marco and Dorima talked about the hallucinations that Dorima sees. "So, you see creatures everywhere, man that's still weird every time you tell me" Marco replied

"Yeah, but don't worry they can't interact with people physically and kinda seem lonely which causes their misbehaviour" assured Dorima, while they were deep in chat, they almost missed the entrance to school.

As the day went on Dorima hung out with Marco all day. Crude jokes and hurtful comments were thrown their way all day as the butt of a joke. Dorima noticed throughout the day the chain in Marco he was quieter almost angry, and all the creatures couldn't stand being near him as if he gave of a the most putrid scent which right down to there animal instincts told the to avoid. Numerous times throughout the day Dorima tried to talk to Marco however this led to nowhere as Marco just didn't respond. To try to find out what was wrong Dorima suggested that he and Marco have a sleep over under the false present of it being their last term at school.

-Later that night

"Man, maths today was brutal they kept introducing all those new letters and numbers it was rough" complained Dorima, Marco silently nodded in agreement. Just then a Howl tore through the awkward silence, the wind blasted cold air in their faces, Dorima noticed that for the first time in his entire life there were no creatures around him or Marco or even just in the room. A cold sweat broke out on Dorimas faces as the sense of uneasiness just wouldn't go away.

"Throb" "throb" He heard a sound like a heart-beat, while shaking all over he looked at Marco the in the corner of the room the dark, grotesque, oozing thick black soup like substance from every orifice had embedded itself in Marcos head. A silent scream left Dorimas mouth as the dark pool of shadows swirled violently and vigorously around Marco and the creature.

Suddenly, Marco spoke the first words he'd spoken all day since the kids at school picked on us "I HATE YOU". In that moment it felt as though his souls had shattered to a thousand pieces. The one child in the whole world who he looked up to and accepted him; Dorima physically and violently collapsed on his bed in sheer terror not of the creature but words of his friend.

Dorima looked up trying to put pieces of himself back together realised Marco was gone. And then he heard it, the only sound worse than his friend's rejection, his mother's screams. Dorima rushed to into the hallway and down the stars and saw it Marco his once friend had his mother bent over by the hair with a knife to the neck. "Oh Dorima ,"Marco sang "All my life I wanted to be popular I wanted to be loved by everyone they were supposed to praise the ground I walk but no, I'm mocked bullied because I sat next to you and tried to comfort you when your Dad died, You say there are creatures everywhere but you're lying, you're delusional, a freak I hate since all I wanted was to be loved by everyone, I take away the only person who actually cares about you". While Marco monologued, the creature attached to his head bit off the back half of his skull, rich dark red blood ran down the crevices of Marcos contrasted with the bright prink of the exposed brain matter, which quickly turned a dull grey. Marco let a cruel spine-chilling laugh as his body started to physically deform. His arm's twisted and contorted to long horrific claws slits opened across the circumference of his skin it looked as if he was cut by an invisible blade until the cuts oozed the rich deep, thick soup like darkness until each cut spring open revealing eyes of people, he wanted to admire him.

Then everything went quite as the head of Dorimas mother rolled and rested his knees. Unable to take the pain and terror of it Dorima collapsed cradling his mother's head eerily muttering it's not real it's only a dream.

"Police chief logan", A police officer said "We found the boy cradling his mothers severed head he appeared to be unconscious"

"Did he sustain any injuries "replied Logan,

"It appears he has sustained critical injuries gashes and chunks of his flesh are missing " the police officer stated, "the person who called it in said two boys were supposed to be here however only one was recovered it is now theorized that a kidnapper came into the house and tried to take one of the boys and when the mother defended them, she was killed."

"That would match the eyewitness report saying they saw a tall dark man leaving out the window with a burlap sack "Logan replied "However, why only take one eye off the other boy it doesn't make sense, hopefully when he wakes, we can get more of the story" He put down the police report and dismissed the police officer from his office. Logan sighed a long tired sigh before his office was invaded by headmaster of Rukworth institute Zaogzox "Logan you know why I'm here; we have another one",

"There has been more and more lately poor kid didn't even stand a chance" replied Logan "Well he is yours god knows I don't want to deal with it" with that Logan slid over the police report to Zaogzox a wide crooked smile appeared on Zoagoxs face "excellent that is a good decision tell me when the boy wakes up" with that Zaogzox left the office.

After some time had passed and everyone but Logan had gone home he sat at his desk tears streaming down his face for he knew that the pain and suffering that this child had gone though was only the beginning through his tears he muttered "I wonder if you'll eventually come to wish you had passed on to the next life with your mother".
