Chapter 78 Three vessels

In a world where once life existed, abundant of flora and fauna is now but covered by only ice and snow.

Just a single skill made all this.

[Control weather]

A skill which is from the one who caused all this and is one of the two who is still on this frozen and dead world.

She is, however, right now not in her right mind, always muttering only and a only a word. The name of her beloved.

"Deva."

"Deva."

"Deva."

"Deva."

"Deva."...

And the other one who is still alive in this world is a man which can be said is the vessel of righteousness, his burning justice and integrity that can conjure an aura of fire is part of the reason he was able to survive this harsh enviroment, another part is because his body is partially that of a spirit.

He, who is the opposite of the vessel in front of him, after eons of the last war between Evil(faction of Angra Mainyu) and Good(faction of Ahura Mazda) and wandering for many and unknown years he finally managed to find his archenemy that however does not retain any resemblance of the true vessel of Rage.

Saddened by this fact, he forcefully showed part of his memories showing to Ira what she was originally and casted a spell to awaken her true nature with the cost of her current memories.

Unfortunately he was once more disappointed that the current vessel of Rage does not want to return to her original form, he was in fact greeted by the sight of Ira persistently trying to not give in to her true nature and refusing to let go of her memories. No, Ira was more worried that by giving in to her nature she would lose the memories of Deva. In fact Ira was able to resist for months to her desire to intentionally freeze everything by only thinking of Deva, however she still ended up inadvertently freeze the people who saved her and their home and world.

The vessel of righteousness stood a far, watching patiently his archenemy, waiting for the vessel of Rage to finally return to her peak and fight to death like the old times.

Then.

"Umm?"

From a far he could see the figure of another person, they too were withstanding the extreme cold released by the weather. Like him the woman's body was wrapped by a thin layer of aura but he could feel that most likely her aura's fuel is not the same as his, in fact he could feel from afar the rage and resenment from the woman despite not showing a single ounce of emotion on her face.

"What...?"

The vessel of righteousness became more confused and alerted as he could feel four familiar presences inside the woman yet at the same time unknown to him.It was like...four Daeva fused with each other to create a single entity.

"Impossible...that woman wouldn't do that kind of things to her daughters..."

The woman continued to run towards Ira ignoring the vessel of righteousness, he then felt the emotions of rage and resentment disappear as if they were only an illusion and also the thin layer of aura surrounding the woman disappeared taking their place to another one.

Then constant and incessant shockwaves appeared and removed all the snow and ice around the woman as she continued to run towards Ira.

Rejection and denial those are the emotions Deva is using to not only remove the snow and ice on her way but also to keep away even if it is for a second, from her and Ira the man whose level is extremely higher than her.

"To say to find the others, this is truly fate!" The man immediately appeared in front of her unperturbed of her shockwaves and without hesitetion conjured a hammer made of crimson fire and swung it down to Deva's head.

Deva also reacted as she conjured several purple tendrils made from resentment and rage, the tendrils didn't directly face the hammer but wrapped themselves on the man's wrists and limbs temporarily slowing him down.

But nontheless the man's strength was of a higher caliber as the course of the hammer was stopped for a brief moment before continuing to fall towards Deva's head but that brief moment was enough for Deva to conjure under her feet a pillar to spring her backwards and barely able to avoid the hammer.

"Oho?You can use your aura well, in fact you can control it very well." Said the man while grinning.

"..." Deva didn't respond back as she conjured different thin layers of different emotions around her body.

Anger.Dread.Insanity filled the area around Deva.

Spears who were made of a fire with a darker shade of crimson that seemed to be unstable and to the verge of exploding appeared and were launched towards the man.

In response, he conjured several shields made of white fire to block the spears but the moment they collided the spears would explode tearing apart the shields.

As shields and spears costantly appeared and launched to each other, the two didn't remain still as the man reappeared instantly in front of Deva and this time he succeded in bringing down his hammer to Deva without being binded.

But, the layers surrounding Deva instead of being hit, like a jelly they slipped at the touch of the hammer of fire and so Deva, like a slime being hit by a blunt weapon she avoided all the strikes from the man.

As if the two have forgotten all about Ira, they fought with all they have against the other, conjuring different weapons and objects as they continued to fight.

If a hammer doesn't work then the man would conjure a sword or a dagger. In response Deva would counterattack by conjuring a spear.

The spears and shields colliding on top of their heads would change shape to spikes, arrows, small or darts.

The man would always be in advantage despite Deva creating and conjuring all kind of things with different effects.

The weapons and objects made of fire and conjured by the man were able to shallow and melt everything Deva launched, to compensate this Deva had to use small tricks to avoid or restrain the man, yet it is because of this that she managed to survive against this powerful opponent.

The feeling of being just a step from death made Deva extremely exhilarated and intoxicated to the point of smiling to ear to ear and she wasn't the only one, the man was also grinning as he savoured and enjoyed this fight, it reminded him of the old times.

He, along with his brothers would fight for days or weeks against six crazed Daeva, there wasn't the concept of permanently winning or losing as they represented the battle between good and evil.

Good cannot exist without evil as they are the same therefore they cannot prevail on the other, if one gets stronger then the other would also get strong to match the other. Balance existed between the two.

They can only clash and clash against each other bringing peace and chaos around them.

The eternal war between the two sides is meaningless, but it is this very meaningless war that they found a meaning in their eternal lives.

They were not the only 'Concepts' fighthing with each other.

Gods against Devils.

Heroes against Villains.

Commoners against Nobles.

So many concepts are fighting and will perpetually fight against with each other.

Death for them exist in the form of their bodies and memories, and Life for them consist to the purpose of living as they pleased and let their natures run wild.

A benevolent saint to desire to save everyone and make the world better.

A lustful man to desire to own and have sex with countless beauties.

A lazy woman to live her days as peaceful and lazy as possible.

An insane girl to let her insanity control her.

"Ah.Ah.Deva.Deva...Deva!" Ira whose mind was in turmoil began to clear once more at the sight of Deva yet at the same time a feeling of uselessness started to arose inside her.

She glanced at her hands,"Aura...aura...I used a skill like what Deva is doing right now...like in those memories..."

As she muttered those words she couldn't help but recall that she had a skill called [Cold Aura] that she thought had the power to only make her surroundings to a certain degree cold.

Does her skill have the same powers that Deva's title hold?
