Chapter 193 Saving Deva

"So? Care to explain?"

"Uh..."

In a room where six women where coldly watching Deva.

"That. That thing has the same traits as you." Ira pointed at the bloody corpse in the floor. A bit further from them there was also the unconscious Lucia who was thrown like trash in the floor.

"T-that child," Deva paused for a moment to find the right words before opening her mouth. "...I-I really don't know..."

Deva really had no idea how in the first place the child was born nor wasn't that concerned about it, but now that her wives were so persistent in knowing how and with whom...Deva knew she was in a precarious situation but she couldn't even lie to them since they would immediately sense it.

The stares hardened as even Core was glaring at her.

"Core sighs."

However, it was Core herself who took a step forward to defend Deva.

"Core has been analyzing the child since it has been brought here and from the various magic devices this child does not seem to be human nor shares any DNA with Deva but only mimicked her appearance. Core pauses before continuing."

"..."

"Well?"

"Core states that the child is not human but a being of emotion like Violetta but unlike her she does not necessarily need to follow Deva's commands."

"Wait a minute! If what you said is true then-"

"Mmm...eh?" Before Deva could finish her words, a voice resounded in the room from an unexpected person.

The person that was presumed dead with a missing chunk of her flesh on her neck rose and gazed around her in confusion.

"Core states that the child was still incomplete when Deva attacked her so she couldn't kill her since she did not destroy her core but instead assumed temporarily a state of death to focus in creating a core inside her body."

"Eh? Where am I? Who are you?" The little girl looked around as if not aware that a miraculous but disgusting sight was taking place in her neck. Flesh, veins and blood seemed to appear from nothing.

"Core clarifies that we classify beings of emotions those beings that share two common things: the first one being with them only having emotions as food and the second in having a core inside them. The bodies of Violetta and this child might be different but they both can be considered as beings of emotions."

A bunch of 'wow' echoed in the room as they ignored the child. The question whether Deva had a child with someone else other than them was more important than the child itself.

"In conclusion, Deva did not gave birth to an illegitimate child but instead created a being of emotion herself and is not strange for these beings to call their creator 'mother'. As for her appearance...Core assumes that Deva was not consciously creating the child herself but a consequence of her as she was fighting Lucia." Core already knew all the details as she saw a glimpse of Deva's memories and in no time she came with an explanation to pull out swiftly Deva from her situation. The child being a being of emotion was true but she has omitted that Lucia also took part in creating the child. Deva and Lucia can be considered to be the parents of the child since they were both involved in creating the child but Core concealed such thing and remained silent otherwise the women near her might cause something that she would rather not deal with.

Core shifted her eyes to Deva and saw the gratitude and helplessness in her eyes. From Core's explanation Deva understood many things and with that she played along and prayed that her wives will not continue to suspect her.

"Mmm...Lucia cannot do the same, I mean creating beings of emotion so I guess this seems to be reasonable."

"Haaa...I was so worried that Deva might have done something really unforgivable."

"Right? Hmph! Deva, next time use better words or we might strike you before we even know." As the wives talked with each other and sighed in relief, Deva was sweating bullets inside her while making sure to seem fine.

"Then...the next issue is...what should we do with them?" Theresa pointed at the child and at the unconscious Lucia.

Deva prayed in her mind that Lucia better remained unconscious to ensure her survival.

"The child can be integrated in the dungeon, slowly grow there and be attached to it over time..." Deva thanked the fact that the child seemed to not remember anything for whatever the reason for it.

Deva did not suspect that the child was faking her loss of memories otherwise Core might have already told Deva if that was the case.

"...as for Lucia...we better delete some of her memories, atleast her memories about me revealing my true nature to her."

"Eh? Really? After everything you just endured?"

"Well...in the first place I wanted to play with her a bit before she breaks herself but interestingly enough she has great potential in aura, so I really do not want to end her life especially with the situation Intris is in."

"Are we really not going to intervene?"

"No, we won't. Facing a big crisis like this should develop some people and maybe we might even see the birth of a hero in this crisis."

"You just killed a hero yourself so you really look like a villain..."

"Well...aren't I one already?"

"You are absolutely one."

As Deva, Theresa, Ira, Theresa, Edea and Era conversed with each other, several golems were already moving to follow Core's instructions.

A golem held the child's hand and brought her inside the dungeon. Another chanted a spell to the unconcious Lucia before teleporting herself, Lucia and some dwarves to where the house of Lucia was located to rebuilt it since the aftermath of their battle reduced it to dust.

As this happened quickly, Deva was already walking with her wives away from Core who continued to monitor the situation around Intris.

Deva sighed a sigh of relief in her mind as she evaded a catastrophe.
