Aria unconsciously had fallen asleep in Qin Lixin's arms .

For the first time ever , she had a companion to sleep with without having any worries that she will get beaten by the person beside her .

Unbeknownst to the kids that had fallen asleep beautifully together , Qin Lijun actually had woken up when his little brother sneaked out from his bedroom .

Their parents deliberately put him close to Qin Lixin's bedroom in case something happen . Even so , their bedroom also was not too far from their parents for their safety .

Because of that , from his bedroom , he could hear Qin Lixin coming out . From Little bao birth up until today , he has always being protective towards him . He would never let someone hurt his little brother especially a stranger who suddenly comes into their life today .

It's not that he want to pick on a little girl . He also doesn't have a hobby of bullying someone younger and weaker than him . He obviously saw that girl was hurt when he saw her in the hospital with his mom .

She even cowered in fear when he only wanted to talk to her a little bit . He doesn't have any intention to make her afraid of him or cry . He too was shocked when he saw her reaction earlier .

But ...

He had to protect his little bao . Little bao is still a little child . He doesn't know anything about this world . About this cruel world . He doesn't want him to be hurt .

..... Just like him .

He clenched his fist and walked to the room that Qin Lixin went . The guest room that the girl live in was right in front of the stairs . It only take several steps for him to reach there . He purposely waited for a few minutes outside after little bao went in before he slowly open the door making sure that the room is quiet with no sound now .

He walked quietly just like a thief trying to rob a house . He stood frozenly infront of the bed looking at the picture with his eyes wide .

Little bao's height was not short enough for people to mistake him as a five year old instead of seven nor his height tall enough to overpowered kids his age .

Meanwhile he , an eleven years old with 150 cm tall , overpowered his kids in height as he inherited his father's tall genes . Therefore , whenever he carried little bao , he always felt that he's such a small baby in his arms .

But now ..

This is the only time he realize that his little bao is not a baby in his eyes . At least , with what he see now , his little bao really looks like a sturdy brother trying to protect a little girl .

Not just that , he finally realize how small the girl is . She barely can be seen in little bao's arms . Her body was so skinny that even the clothes she wear looks baggy on her . Her face was whitely pale as if any minute she could be broken like a porcelain doll .

And also ..

What makes him shocked the most is he saw a lot of old and new scars on her arm . It's not like he really wanted to see it but the blanket didn't sit well on top of them making the girl moved a little due to the coldness and he can saw the scars when her sleeves loosen down .

He ... doesn't know what to say nor how to react . He already make his mind to force little bao to not be friendly towards her . His mom only said that she was there for a little while . He doesn't want a mere stranger destroyed their peaceful live .

However , now ...

Sigh ...

A sigh can be heard from his breath . He moved closer and take the blanket to wrap it properly on both of them . He comes here to see what his little bao wanted by coming here . He didn't expect him to sleep with the girl and even hugging her . He thought he should carry little bao to his own room .

He thought that they even look cute like that . A little boy who he thought as a baby now acting like a big brother .

He touched little bao's hair and moved his hand to the little girl hesitantly . He froze for a while before he makes his mind and gently patted her head before he leave the room .

" Just for this time ... Just for this night , I'll let you two be .. "

He whispered by himself and make his way to his bedroom for a lovely sweet dream too .
