The Elven Crusade (Final)

{Earlier...}

In the evening sky, one of the knights saw a light flickering in the sky and squints to see it clearly. Moments later, it was soon a fireball barreling towards them.

*BOOOM!!*

"Enemy attack!" one knight yelled. Many other knights repeated the two words to quickly go into defensive positions.

"Where did the fireball come from!?" one knight yelled. Some of the other knights began walking back with fear on their faces.

In the distance, there lies a Felexian army fully clad in yellow and white armor, coming to the church walls. Their numbers go above 100 men...all of which are elite.

"Oh god...it's the Felexian army!" one of the mages said.

*THOOM!*

The Felexian army began breaking through the door with their mages and archers began firing their arrows. They shout for their total demise for committing a crime not against the kingdom, but the world.

And yet, they face a fraction of the enemies. But they fight as if the world's fate depends on this battle.

"Traitors of humanity, you shall walk the earth no longer!"

"Death to the heretics!"

"Inform Priest Arkaon! He must escape!"

"Over there!"

Another knight points in the direction, parallel to the walls and see a dark figure walking towards them.

Suddenly, a flash of red light glimmered and flew past them.

*Vzoom!*

*BOOM!*

A crash was heard and the knights were knocked back from the blast. Except three of them.

They looked down and saw that their chest cavity was missing, dripping blood and what's left of the organs that soon fell out. Shortly after, they dropped to the ground below.

"It's a vampire! Use your Holy and Light Magic!"

The mages fire the specific elements at the mysterious vampire. The vampire swiftly dodges while

The dark figure looks up into the sky and sees a large group of flying creatures approaching in the distance.

The knights look upwards and notices that the certain army that they wish they never cross.

"It's the Virdana army!"

*Shoom!*

The vampire jumps down and is met with more enemies.

"Protect Arkaon! Slay the vampire!"

The vampire smiled and his eye began to glow.

*Swurrrr...*

The vampire summons streams of thick red liquid and shaped them into a pair of dagger-like claws.

"Lowly bugs..." the vampire said and became a shadowy blur.

*Slash!*

*Slice!*

*CRUNCH!*

*SPLURCH!!*

"AAAAAAGH!!"

The sounds of flesh being torn and bones being broken rang in the evening sky. The screams also rang out in an uncontrolled orchestra, leaving echos behind only to fade into the wind.

"Arkaon, I will make you regret you've ever been born." the vampire said. "No one screws me over and lives to tell the tale."

{Now...}

The green knight, the Archangel, and the paladins surround Arkaon's group with their weapons ready.

"Hear me, heretics! Your days of corruption ends here!" the green knight announced.

"That voice...the elven emperor of Virdana, Gravius Eldcrown?" Arkaon gasped.

"That is correct." Gravius said. "And I am here to deliver justice onto you in the name of Arukatha."

One of the Virdana's knights climbs on the rubble and gives him a paper scroll.

Gravius unravels it and began speaking again.

"Arkaon, you are charged for Extreme Treason, Mass Murder, Summoning Hellkins, Harboring Hellkins, Forgery, attempting to summon a Demon Empress, and the murder of Erzibolt Fairwind, the Hero!" Gravius said.

"Wait, a hero named Erzibolt has been murdered!? By whom!?" Arkaon said, surprised.

"By the Archdemons you've summoned in attempt to silence Lucius Eldfern. He is also an elf." Gravius said.

"I've never met an elf named Lucius. And I did no such thing as summoning an Archdemon." Arkaon protested.

"I sensed the lingering presence of a Superior Archdemon and a Blood Viscount." an Archangel said. "Did you summon an Archdemon?"

Arkaon's body felt a cold dread rushing at his body when a male Archangel glared at Arkaon with his radiant silver eyes. He knows that lying to an Heavenkin does not end well for any mortal being.

"I did not!" Arkaon replied.

*Fween!*

A green light appeared from the Archangel's orb of light. For he was telling the truth.

"Did you make a deal with a vampire?" the Archangel said.

"I did, but I did it to keep away the undead and the bandits! When Zaneth was killed, the rest were scattered." Arkaon said. "After the problems was resolved, I driven that thing out."

The orb glowed green as well from his statement.

"Then did you travel to Nolten Village in Noltia to kill the villagers to progress with this forbidden summoning?" Gravius said.

Arkaon widened his eyes, knowing that they have his documents and used it as hard evidence. He has an answer, but he knows that if he lies, his life may be forfeit.

So he gave them the answer that is truthful to him.

"No, I came there to find who is responsible for killing Zaneth Leotide, who was recently awakened as a hero." Arkaon said.

The paladins, mages, and the nuns nod in agreement. They cheer for Arkaon's answer, because they were with him on that trip.

However, their assurance was soon reduced to naught by a red light.

"You are deceitful." the Archangel said. "Are you trying to summon that specific Hellkin that shall not be named?"

"No! We would never!" Arkaon said, panicking. The light soon turned red again.

"So, not only you tried to kill the villagers, you have a motive to summon that thing!" Gravius growled. "These alone is grounds for execution!"

"Well said, Emperor Gravius!" a deep voice rang out. Multiple people heard and looked at the entrance of the lower floor.

What it seems is a Felexian paladin donned in full plate of armor. Until that paladin takes off the helmet.

The paladin is shown to have golden blonde hair with thick eyebrows and a short thick beard.

"I am Ferdinand Vix Erzis. The current emperor of the Felexian empire." Ferdinand introduced himself.

"So you have heard of me, Ferdinand. I apologize for invading your land, but this heretic here is attempting to summon a Hellkin that shall not be named." Gravius said.

"I was aware of your intentions when my court magicians has seen your signals. For a while, my scouts went to that church, only to never return." Ferdinand said. "I couldn't just invade this church without considering the consequences."

"I see...what should we do with the heretics? They are in your territory." Gravius said.

Arkaon's blood ran cold and spoke to Ferdinand with desperation.

"I have committed a grave sin, Your Majesty! Please spare my followers!" Arkaon begged. "If you wish, I will--"

"SILENCE, YOU HERETIC!" Ferdinand roared. His voice reverberated throughout the lower floor, causing Arkaon to be startled shut. "No matter what you say will save you from your demise. You have stained the church to its core with your corruption and you will receive punishment."

"Emperor Ferdinand, what will you do to the church and the heretics?" Gravius asked.

"Burn it. Everything." Ferdinand said.

"Your majesty, there are documents and artifacts that have been in the events dating before the first emperor of Felexin such as the Draconic Age, Demonic Influx, Heaven's Anger, and even the Forbidden Generation." one of the knights said. "Destroying such ancient artifacts would be a massive historical loss."

"It is already accounted for, child of man." the Archangel said. "Goddess of Order Arukatha has tasked us to take every authentic document and artifact from this establishment and have it transported there."

"Already? When? No...Heavenkins does not lie." Ferdinand said. "Burn everything!"

"No! Don't! You'll--" Arkaon begged, but it was responded with an arrow piercing someone's head. A yellow arrow has pierced a paladin's head, killing him instantly.

"Another word out of you, the next will be your head, heretic." Ferdinand growled. Arkaon fell to his knees in silence.

"Now, burn it all!!" Ferdinand declared. "Burn this wicked church to the ground!"
